First time dining in today, and it was really good despite the lunchtime rush! This is our second time having their food and it truly is consistently wonderful for takeout and dine in. We felt transported back to Vietnam when we sipped the sugarcane and calamansi juice. If they have it (listed seasonal on the menu), try it! We also got nem cuon (not pictured) and the portion was generous and warm. I love their dipping sauce too. The broken rice plates also remind me of the places my mom took me to in Westminster and Garden Grove growing up. I also requested less noodles, but that adjustment was mistakenly given to my husband's bowl instead. Not a huge issue on its own, but it added to the overall experience. Just based upon food alone it deserves 5 stars. It was tasty, plentiful and the variety is . There is nothing fancy about this establishment. It's in an old shopping mall and the inside of the restaurant has seen better days. But it wasn't unkempt & it was clean. There are sauces and plenty of utensils on each table. Gosh this place was delicious. Once you enter, you can automatically get an idea of the vibe of the restaurant. Like you can just tell its family owned and family oriented. It gave it that home-y feel. I came in around 3pm on a saturday and it wasn't that busy, just a few customers here and there. It's been awhile since I've had vegan com tam so I dragged my family 30 minutes to check this spot out. I had the com tam thit nuong cha gio chay. The mock pork was really tasty. The egg roll is a little too heavy taro for my liking but they came out hot and crispy. Their vegan fish sauce was tasty and seeing it in the 1L plastic container on table was definitely nostalgic. After the initial shock on their end, they were very friendly and helpful. We shared an order of Egg Rolls with side of vermicelli and vegetables ("D" on the menu) and i ordered the Rice Vermicelli with BBQ Pork and BBQ Shrimp (#35). Food was great and the portions are large. I had leftovers. We've been here twice and both times we really enjoyed our meals. The first time I planed on getting pho, but decided on beef vermicelli instead. Today I knew I needed pho to cut through the cold foggy weather we've been stuck with. The pho we got here hit the spot. It was served Lin huge steaming bowls with plenty of bean sprouts, basil, lemon and jalapeñoes to garnish. I added some Sriracha to give the wonderful broth a pleasant burn at the back of my throat. Yum! There was plenty of beef, meatballs and vermicelli in my bowl, but the real star for me was the hearty broth. We came here hungry on a hot day in May. I could smell the aroma of roasted meat as we approached the restaurant from the parking lot. When we entered, there was already a large group dining, but the place wasn't full. We were invited to sit down at any table and handed a drink menu and a food menu. The restaurant was neat, tidy and inviting. Some unhoused individuals did try to stream in, but the owner was quick to redirect them. Initially, I wanted a bahn mi or something cool to refresh my palate, but as I browsed the menu, I saw that this was not an option. After 5 minutes, I still couldn't decide what I wanted, so the gentleman taking our order brought a photo album containing pictures of each dish. This was a genius move. I was able to visualize each meal and decided to order a small sliced steak pho with tripe. My dining partner ordered the same. I don't typically order tripe, but it sounded intriguing and you only live once. Our food was brought out quickly and we were given refreshing ice water. I appreciated that the table was stocked with utensils and we didnt have to flag down the waiter. The dish was exactly what I needed to eat. The broth was clear, steaming hot, fresh and full of hearty beef flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked; not gummy or stuck together and they didn't overwhelm the dish. I found it interesting that lemons were served on the side instead of limes, but they brightened the dish and now I only want lemons with pho. I did not like the tripe at all, but that was my bad. If you like tripe, this is the perfect dish for you. Everything blended well in the broth and I could taste every individual component of the dish. I need to know who makes the broth because they deserve a giant hug. I would drive all the way back to Sac for this dish. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. read more

We got 22A which comes with pork chop, egg cake, shredded pork skin, and a fried shrimp cake. I liked the taste of the pork chop, however I did not like the fried shrimp cake. The texture of it seemed off. The egg cake was ok, it seemed to have lots of mung bean noodles in it and was missing the woodear mushrooms.
