Really amazing late night vegan pho option. The rice and tofu plate was good too. They also have a banh mi and rolls. There is a discount for sac state students. Really delicious and it's easy to order extra tofu too if you need more protein.

That crêpe was chock full of goodies!

A Wonderful hidden gem, in the back of Butterfield Plaza. I tried eating at two other places, and neither worked out. I'm actually very glad for that, because when I found this place? The third time was. *DEFINITELY* the charm. It's just a nice simple place, nothing fancy. The menu is under the glass on your table. I was helped by Nhi, who was so very friendly. At the end of my meal, I mentioned to her that I'm going to Vietnam at the end of February. She asked where I was going, and gave me a couple of hints for a couple of places. That was very nice of her. I started with the Vietnamese crêpes. I didn't notice on the menu that it came with two of them. They came, and they were huge! The crêpes were crispy, and delicious. The shrimp were tender, and I liked the bean sprouts. It also came with extra veggies to put inside. Not knowing I would be getting so much food, at the same time, I also ordered the chicken and rice. Another total home run. The grilled chicken was tender, and it was just so absolutely flavorful. I added a soft boiled egg to the meal. And it provided that wonderful "yolk action" that I love, that drips down into the food. It came with a big portion of tender rice, and also more veggies on the side. Both the crêpes and the main dish came with the traditional Vietnamese condiment, nuoc Cham. Basically, water, sugar, lime juice, and fish sauce. Sweet with a little sour, and the fish sauce, gave it just the right amount of "funk" that I absolutely love. I had enough food to take one of the crêpes and half of my main Dish, Home, and for all of this food, it was roughly $30 before tip. An absolutely amazing price for such a high-quality and quantity of food. This place is absolutely a hidden gem, and I hope that they do very well here. I will absolutely be back. Thank you.

Yum! Great tasting pho! The service was great and the place is large while also being nice and intimate (I when on a weeknight). Probably some of the best pho I've had to be honest. The broth was just super flavorful. Their egg rolls were yummy too!

Secret sauce!! Ask for it for the pho!

Came here tonight and had a really solid experience overall. We started with the chicken fresh spring rolls, which were delicious and super fresh. The peanut sauce deserves a shout-out on its own - great flavor and consistency (not watery, not gluey). For mains, we ordered the P1 (small, build-your-own pho) with steak, tendon, and meatball, and the P4 Bun Bo Hue. The small pho was surprisingly filling - plenty of noodles and protein, and I left full. The broth was good, though for my personal taste it needed just a touch more seasoning. That said, the grilled onions on top were a really nice touch, and I absolutely loved that they had a proper bottle of nuoc mam out on the table. It's such an underrated condiment and when a Vietnamese restaurant doesn't offer it, I immediately start questioning the integrity - so points earned there. The Bun Bo Hue comes in a large size, and while the portion was generous, the broth leaned a bit sweeter than what I'm used to. The meats were also a touch fatty and long cooked for sure. I usually prefer Bun Bo Hue more savory, especially with a pork-based broth - but hey, there are many ways to shoe a horse, and flavor profiles vary. One thing I must mention: the secret sauce. It's a garlicky, flavorful concoction for the pho, and wow - I should've used it from the start. If you're ordering pho, ask for the secret sauce. It's free and it seriously makes the soup pop. The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with attentive and kind service. Parking was easy, which is always a win in Sacramento. All in all, a pleasant dining experience with thoughtful details and good execution.

The place was pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of tables available. I ordered the make your own combo beef pho. The soup lacked flavor and could've used more seasoning. The beef balls and rare steak were fine, not dry, but the brisket was tough and dry. I think it's nice that the menu has a vegetarian section. Our server was nice and asked which side veggies we needed to avoid waste :). This would be a good place to go to for late night, they are open until midnight!

Lunch brought me to a hidden gem today .. First impression walking into the restaurant, it was quiet and barely any patrons. 2 other tables beside ours. Restaurant was too quiet. Needed some maybe light background music would be nice. I love that the menu was placed under the glass table in front of you so no need to touch any menu to look and order! Only one lady was working and she was pleasant and nice. I ordered the chicken wings and a side of steamed rice with a Vietnamese coffee. My husband ordered a bowl of chicken pho and a banh mi (sorry I forgot to take a pic of his pho) My order of chicken wings was flavorful and delicious! What I was wanting so it hit the spot! I ate that with the steam rice which was deliciously fluffy and not dry. My Vietnamese coffee was good but I felt like it was a little bland. It needed more coffee flavor. It was more bland and milky My husband was shocked the chicken pho broth was actually delicious! And that's big coming from him. He always critics every pho broth as ehhhh he rather eat the pho I cook so for him to be surprised it's actually good.. that's 5 star in itself. He also said the Banh mi was really good too. Overall I would definitely come back because I want to try their bun bo hue next. Come try them out.. they're a bit tucked behind some buildings but their food is actually really good.

Really nice place! I went around 6:30-7:00, and it wasn't too crowded. Staff was super attentive. I got the bun bo hue, which was great with veggies & chili oil, and I had enough left over to take home for tomorrow.

The last time I was here, this was a Chinese restaurant. They have cleared the space and made it brighter. The dining area is large - table and chair seating on the main floor and booths around the entire perimeter. Open until midnight was a selling point for me. I arrived around 9:45 and there were a nice group of people there being served and eating. The menu has many offerings among appetizers, Pho, Vermicelli, Rice, and Vegetarian dishes. I ordered the vermicelli with chicken to go. There was a good amount of herbs/greens and fresh vegetable and a sufficient amount of fish sauce to dress everything with. I was a happy camper. This is my second visit after coming here last week. I wanted to try their Banh Mi (pork) and again, am taking out. The sandwich had the great crispy French bread and was full of very flavorful and tender pork. Cucumbers, carrots and greens completed the sandwich. It was not bad but I wanted some other choices that could be added to the sandwich. I would have liked to add some pate to the sandwich. I think I'll look for a Banh Mi shop when I want a Bahn Mi in the future - not that this wasn't a good one but I wanted something a bit more. This is a good place for a meal Or a snack. Open until midnight is great and a definite selling point. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Check it out.

I've heard good reviews of the Pho soup , egg rolls and Bamh sandwiches and here to try myself . Smells good . The service is great and the place has many customers enjoying their meals . I'm all about giving local small business my buisness. . Nice dining area and clean , booths available

I have never written a food review before, but I just want to say this place is by far the best pho I've had since I've ever even knew what pho was. I have had pho from many places in the Bay Area (SF/SJ/Hayward), in the valley (Manteca/Tracy/Stockton), and now here in Sacramento, this place has the most flavorful broths. The noodles and meat were cooked to perfection. Everything including the experience was just phenomenal. Most definitely a 5/5 rating

Pho Viet Anh was a pretty lukewarm experience over all. The service was pretty much non existent. Had to get up to ask for more water. The restaurant was dead except for one other party. The restaurant space is very nice and clean. The menu under the glass top is clever. I got the salad rolls. The lettuce was a detractor with the spine of the lettuce still in there. Made it crunchier than desired. The peanut sauce was fantastic however. The pho was ok. I like that the broth is pretty light. The big pieces of onion were a bit off putting and the sprouts were a bit soft. My bowl was also not exactly clean on the outside. You can see from the picture. Overall, there are better options but for late nights; this might be one of the better ones. I originally came for bahn mi and they didn't have any baguettes. Now if they only they would come by asking me if I need anything else so I can get a to go box for these salad rolls...

Pho and spring rolls were great especially the spring rolls. The peanut sauce was excellent, and the shrimp paste was consistently good. However, the Bun Bo Hue is not, which was a lil disappointed since I was very excited to eat it. I couldn't taste the any Bun Bo Hue flavor at all. There was no noticeable lemongrass in the soup. I was also expecting "cha lua" or pork blood, but neither was included. Additionally, the vegetables were cooked directly in the soup. Usually, shredded cabbage should be served on the side. Cooking it in the broth made it soggy. Overall the experience is okay. Hopefully they change the recipe for the BBH. Will come back to try it another day.

There was barely any meat on the bones. The flavor was good, but I missed the meat.
    Tara K.

I ordered the Five Spiced Chicken Wings and the Vermicelli with all beef, no shrimp. The chicken wings were interesting. The one thing I like about the Vermicelli at most Pho places is that there are different temperature foods in the bowl. This was not achieved here in this bowl. Everything was warm, the lettuce, sprouts, cucumber, picked carrots yeah, ALL warm. I will say I like how the menu's are under the plexiglass atop the table. Never have to worry about dirty menus! Lol I like how open the restaurant is. They offer discounts for Military and Sac State students. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is nice and clean. The food gets 3 stars Service 3 stars I probably won't return.
