The shelving behind the kiosk has plants, bottles of Veuv and wine nicely placed. There's some nice Vietnam themed artwork throughout. A vibrant, colorful mural is painted on the wall near the entrance and more wall art towards the back. I was impressed to see they even serve Veuve here. That makes for a fun brunch! Our party of five were road tripping home from the weekend and passing through. We always stop at Quan Nem Ninh Hoa for lunch and get the House Special 2 DIY spring rolls with the grilled pork complete with veggies, their special sauce and those crispy sticks. I was also hungry for some Bun Cha Ca (fish soup) which has mackerel, fish cake, tomatoes, pineapple and cabbage. I enjoyed mine with egg noodles. So delicious- even on a hot day! This place can get packed, but they run a tight ship here cranking out the dishes and keeping water glasses full. I look forward to more delicious spring rolls and trying other dishes in the future! When we left at 3:00, restaurant was getting g half full. This is a welcome addition to the already established chain known for their nem cuon spring rolls. This location is new, modern and clean! More dining tables than the original location just a few blocks away. We ordered a few of our faves. Deconstructed DIY Nem Cuon spring rolls, Banh Xeo and Banh Beo. Food was as expected. Banh Xeo was ok, crispy but the shrimp and pork made was very dry. Shrimp had peel on it (hit or miss) and lots of bean sprouts. There isn't a clear sign for the bathroom location so a few people walked around asking. 18% gratuity auto added to bill for 6 or more. Parking is available. Service was as good as can be for a grand opening weekend as staff get familiar with table setups. I've been coming here on and off for years, with my last visit being in early February 2026 before they relocated to their new location--so I can't really speak on the current parking situation or space. They'll take your initial order, but if you need anything afterward--like water refills or takeout boxes--you'll probably need to flag them down. Normally I'm a bit particular about service, but I've grown used to the straightforward style of small local Asian businesses, and for me, the food here completely makes up for it. I was fortunate to grow up eating amazing Vietnamese food, and one dish that always brings me back is bánh bèo--and the way they make it here is just perfect. Served in those little saucers where you add the sauce yourself, it instantly reminds me of my childhood. Their bánh bột lọc is also a must-order: perfectly chewy and packed with flavor once it soaks up the dipping sauce. These are my go-to appetizers every time. The drinks are great too--they offer a wide variety like Thai tea, coconut juice, fruit smoothies, Vietnamese chè, and more. As for the main dishes, their nem nướng is probably the best in the area. It's flavorful, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. I love ordering their special where you can wrap your own rolls with rice paper, angel hair vermicelli, and grilled meat--it's fun, delicious, and usually enough for two people. I saw this place on IG, and once I saw how they make their Nem Nuong Cuon, I was sold. I finally remembered to stop by today, and I'm glad I did. The place was busy and lively. We found Quan Nem via Yelp, searching for places open on Thanksgiving and offering Vietnamese grilled shrimp, one of our son's favorites. The crispy, herby, garlicky type that's ubiquitous in many Vietnamese entrees. We were not aware the place was famous for DIY Spring Rolls. When we arrived, there was a huge takeout line with folks buying huge party trays of rolls and red dipping sauce. Other than spring rolls, they offer up lots of rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and angel hair vermicelli. No Pho on the menu but they had several fish-based noodle soups. The grilled pork chop over rice and grilled pork vermicelli were both OK. The main issue is the shrimp. Grilled shrimp is a misnomer I think. The shrimp here was head-on, tail-on, and shell-on sautéed shrimp with a light sauce. It took forever to peel everything and was super messy. In the end, our son wasn't a huge fan after all that effort. My wife commented that the shrimp tasted fine. There are front and back parking lots, though it may be easy to miss. Several signs remind you to lock up valuables. They even had an armed security guard present. I did not think the area was that sketchy, but we're just tourists. read more

i've been here several times and seriously love this place. One of my good friends from Folsom brought me here because she grew up in the area. I loved their special and ordered it with shrimp. You have to get that! it's a it's a must do. I was in Sacramento for the Hmong festival last week and after the festival, we were starving so we decided to stop by Quan Nem Ninh Hoa and my entire family loved it. There was a group of five adults and one baby for our party and a total was $90 with tax and tip. Everything tasted amazing and everyone in my party loved it. Service was great. The ambience is fine. I have such mixed feelings about the uncle who waited on me, his attitude gave tsundere because he seems standoffish but was actually very honest and helpful with helping me navigate the menu and not order the wrong thing. Don't go to their old location, like I did, that is closed. They originally shared they were going to keep it open just for to-go, but they definitely shutdown it down. Same phone number I have saved in my phone, just a few blocks down, so I called in a to-go order for two #2 and one #5 shrimp only. Prices have gone up by $2 in the past year, obviously to cover costs for the new location and overall inflation. Came out to $45 (broken down $3.75 per spring roll), but still so yummy and my go-to for nem nuong cuon. The new location, across from King Seafood, is clean, with a newly paved parking lot with lots of parking, and more seating inside. At 1030am, they already had tons of to-go orders working. My order was ready and waiting for me within 25 mins. Before I hit the road, I had to eat one nem nuong in my car, which did not disappoint, (consistently delicious).
