I have a Havanese, so she requires a lot of grooming. They always make her look so cute and polished and we have never had any issues! They are responsive, always on time, and don't overcrowd their space with more dogs than they could handle. That is an experience we've had at other groomers and I'm so glad we ended up finding comb & collar! My dog is treated with kindness and care. I would only trust them with her grooming! Took my dog for the first time last weekend. Kristen was very helpful, cordial, and all around a very nice person. My dog didn't have any issues with her either, so that's another + It was a simple shampoo (plus ear cleaning and nail clipping), so I thought the price was a bit in the higher end compared to other places, I believe the quality makes up for it. My dog is clean, smells nice, and also came back with a nice Christmas scarf I believe I found a place to consistently bring my dog for cleaning going forward. read more

I took my Bichon there for about 2 years. The facility is very nice. I was always happy the way Brittany groomed my dog. After about 6 months, it seemed that almost every time I came in, I was charged a matting fee. The first time it was $15. After that, it was consistently $25. The grooming time took exactly the same amount of time if I got up-charged or not. I comb my dog every other day. I would make sure I combed her down to the skin. She would get regular groomings, every 6-8 weeks, and she was cut short. The last time I was there, Brittany picked my dog up with one hand and said "oh, she's really matted". I questioned how she could tell just by picking her up with one hand. I had another Bichon for 15 years who had 3 different groomers in her life, and I was NEVER charged a matting fee. I know how to care for Bichons. That was the last time I was there. $85 for the haircut plus $25 up-charge, plus tip....it got to be too expensive. I feel like they were adding on the matting charge just to make more money, because I can guarantee that she was not matted 80% of those times. It's too bad because they lost a customer for life. Kristen squeezed me in last minute before thanksgiving. I am a first time client and she did a wonderful job on my 2 rescue goldens. I can't believe they actually posed for her and were so relaxed that they took a nap while there. (My dogs hate going to the groomer usually). She is so kind; the place is very clean and nice. Let me preface all of this with three things: the haircut was decent, their communication is awful, and I will never bring my dog back. We brought my Goldendoodle here for the first time a week ago. They said it would be $120 but could be another $20 because she was badly matted. I knew she was matted and would need a shave down, an extra $20 was no big deal. When they called to say she was ready they told me the total cost was $273!!! They broke it down as $135 for the groom (where was the $120 we were first told??), a $100 upcharge for the matting, and $38 for a "club package." They presented the "club package" as nail trimming, which we'd been told was free, so my husband said yes to it- they never said it would be nearly $40 extra. When I expressed my displeasure with the groomer the manager talked with me. He took off the $38 charge as well as an extra $20 off the matting upcharge, bringing the total down to $215. Still an absolutely ridiculous price for a haircut! I wasn't happy with it, but it was something. However, after the grooming my dog started walking around with her tail between her legs, constantly shaking her head, and whimpering. We brought her to the vet who told us she has an ear infection- something they believe the groomer should have noticed, but groomers are not vets so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Additionally, though we paid to have her ears cleaned out, one of them was not cleaned at all according to our vet. Again, she had a lot of hair and things happen so it is what it is. Most concerning, however, was when our vet asked us where we took her for our grooming and instructed us to never take her there again as he proceeded to show us burn marks on my dog's neck and back from the grooming. I spoke to the manager and she assured me these were not burn marks but tugs on the skin from where she had bad matting (yes, I know now to brush to the skin, take her in every six weeks, and not let her hair get so long!). The explanation was sufficient, however, the fact that this was never explained to us when we picked her up is a big red flag for me. We should have been notified right away of the tug marks and given a heads up to expect the behavior we saw from her after the grooming. Personally, I will never take my dog back to this groomer... the haircut was at least well done but they need to seriously work on their communication (and pricing scale). I give two stars for the haircut, take away three for poor communication and outrageous prices. read more

Kristin, The reply I received from you proved my point even further. When I made my customer profile, the breed was shown, The day I dropped him off for his appointment, was when I was quoted about $65.00 from Brittany, You stated I was charged a Medium dog price on my receipt. You then said it really should have been marked as Specialty, due to the complexity of a Toy Poodle grooming. Neither one of you said ONE word about that when I was right in front of you. This is why I was surprised/shocked when I picked him up and got the bill of $85.00 for a grooming, and $7.00 for nail grinding which I never requested. Again, I feel like I was deceived, and I won't deal with a business I cannot trust to be truthful. I believe the dogs are well cared for, and again, Brittany is an excellent groomer. We'll, I was very apprehensive about taking my puppy for her 1st grooming experience (first time fur parent). Read a lot of review reviews and articles and was still debating where to take my girl. Luckily, I heard by word of mouth how this mom and pop shop just opened up. Scheduling was a breeze, I could have done online but called to ask a few questions. Scheduling was a breeze and all my questions were answered. When I got to the stylist, Brittany made me more at ease for leaving my puppy. She was enthusiastic and my puppy warmed up to her really quick. Upon pickup, my pup was transformed..very cut with her new hairdo.
