I spent literal hours of my weekend trying to resolve an issue, and they did such a bad job that I'm now sharing my experiences everywhere. I had the app crash once, multiple "accidental" disconnects of the chat, and my router spontaneously reset itself during one chat (which has never happened before). Each time, I had to start over from scratch. It took 8 people before I gave up, and all I wanted was some sort of customer loyalty discount because another provider charges half what they do. I didn't need half, but I thought we could negotiate lower. When doing that took over an hour, I asked if I'd be receiving a survey. I explained that my issue was with the policies and procedures, not the customer service reps, but I couldn't get anyone to answer that question. After multiple times my chat just disconnected, I requested a supervisor, which they refused to provide to me. Then, I looked for a way to email to inform them what happened. There's no asynchronous way to contact them unless you use Reddit or X. If there is, it's so well hidden and denied by everyone at the company, that it functionally doesn't exist. They aren't seeking opinions because they don't care if your experience is bad because they assume you have no other options. And that's not a conspiracy theory, the call center worker actually told me that switching to another company wouldn't resolve my problem because no other company would be able to provide fast internet where I live. Bottom line: If you have any other option, I can't imagine it will be worse than XFinity. I suppose if you find a company that also comes to your house and kicks you after providing bad service at ridiculous prices, that would be worse, but that won't happen as long as they have to pay an actual employee to do that because that would require them to adequately staff to support the number of customers they have, and that doesn't seem to be a priority. read more

*** Extremely Dissatisfied - this review will be followed by legal Action*** I don't even know where to begin - this service is absolutely bogus and they have the processes designed to steal from their customer base. I have 1/2 a mind to fund a class action investigation. First issue (1 year ago) - After several years as an Xfinity mobile customer, we purchased a new device and when going to activate they lost my wife's phone number she has had since middle school (25 years ago). During this time they assured me nothing could be done and the number couldn't be retrieved. Days go by of support dragging their feet, and as I am in technology I know the longer time goes the less likely we are to get the number back. I finally call the corp office after 16+ hours on the phone and a young lady based in Atlanta was able to solve the problem in 15 minutes. I was offered nothing for my time or inconvenience (keep in mind by the time I pay for TV, Internet, phones and devices I pay over $1k a month to this monopoly I can only minimize not replace) A few months later we purchased a watch for the same line - from this moment forward her calls are intermittently available, numbers just go to VM for no reason and her number is restored to her phone but not to my account. I am certain that whatever mis-provision has the lower tier reps from being able to assist is why her line is providing terrible user experience. During the last 2 years the service has gotten worse and worse, and as they dont have their own towers the carriers that pay for the towers put strict QoS rules around the Xfinity traffic and will literally stop data throughput for busy areas. No matter what I bring up they have no intention of helping me, not fix it, not with cost - nothing - they will hang up on you in a heartbeat if you ask for a manager or tell you that nobody in the company has the power to do anything at all. Fast Forward 12 miserable months, I figured it would just be easiest to stay as GOD only knows what will happen to my wife's number if I try to go to a decent provider. I order an Iphone 15 Pro Max 1tb. The shipping box arrives, and when I open it I find an empty iPhone box inside. I call them and they tell me there is nothing they could do, and that I needed to create a shipping claim with FedEx. Then they decide they can do something if I get a police report - after hours and a 3-day wait for it to process I have a police report. They declined my claim and told me to use Assurant as it was stolen. Assurant wants a $280 deductible to replace a phone I never received. NOW here is the kicker, I have been an entrepreneur for 22 years, and my livelihood is tied to my phone number - they will not let me take my numbers to another carrier unless I pay for the $2k iPhone that I never received, as well as the installments on any other device on my account. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE UNLESS IT IS THE ONLY THING IN YOUR AREA - THEN ONLY USE THEM FOR INTERNET AS THEY ARE DESIGNED TO EXPLOIT AND SCAM THEIR CUSTOMERS. Xfinity by Comcast was horrible. They did not show up on day promised, even after texts from Comcast that told me they were on their way. Then hours past our appointment time, they moved appointment to following day without confirming with me. It was impossible to get a human on the phone and so I never confirmed new appointment. Someone finally called me and I simply said I'll use another provider. However, they then started to CHARGE ME for a product they NEVER installed!! RUN... I called ATT customer service to make sure I could reach a human. I did and then was transferred to their sales department and purchased ATT. I recently got a new neighbor and when he had people install internet service or whatever they were doing...it screwed up our internet on the block...no surprise there. My number one complaint is when they have to come out they give you a time like "we'll be there between "10am to 4pm" That really pin points it down... I have problems with some accounts of sites I work because according to them, the IP (ipv4) that Comcast provides me is blacklisted or fraudulent, I contacted Comcast/ Xfinity support and after a while I could get them to attend me but it was a big disappointment, I asked to renew my ipv4 IP address and they told me that they do not know what ipv4 is... and that if You tube Works , then there is no problem with my IP. Cable not working, their technician has missed 2 appointments with no calls, no explanation from Comcast. They blame their no service on Covid 19. I never give poor reviews but these pirates have been robing me for over $100 for months. I was put on a plan and they have been over charrrrrging me. They had me on auto bill then when my card was misplaced and ordered a new one they started calling me every 3 months for payment that was the only way I found out. I went from 106 to 246. The agent on the line told me that they would never change the amount without permission then she said because I wasn't in the bundle they can change it to whatever the want. CRAZZY!!! to think they only charged me 246 dollars. Why not $1000 dollars a month, or $2000? I guess the people at Comcast were showing great restraint. Get the premium internet and just the basic channels. The issue I have with them is they came on my property to bury the neighbors cable in my yard where they were 8 feed in the yard which past the easement they didn't mark or flag where they were going to dig and instead of going under the driveway they laid the cable in the grove of my driveway. They sent 3 people out to look and each said the cable should be aerial line all the other properties. Yet the neighbor insists they bury. This has been going on for 3 months and when you call them they tell me one thing and tell the neighbor another. They didn't ask permission or inform me what they were doing They think they can do what they want and tell customers lies They won't tell you what the neighbor said about the situation or inform the neighbor they just tell us different stories. One of those times when I wish I could give negative stars. I've been a customer for 8 years. Upgraded my service to include home security last year. Not only did they overcharge me by $200 for the cameras (this was resolved) but the whole upgrade came with hidden fees and cost way more than I was told. Then my monthly bill was $40 more than I was told in the agreement - "fees and taxes." (Hint: rate should include fees, those don't really change). THEN I got a new job and am moving out of state. They are charging me $450 for early termination of the home security and claim they can't do anything about that, even though they aren't even a cable provider where I'm moving so I have NO CHOICE in the matter. Oh but they "waived" the early termination fee for disconnecting cable. They said it like I'm supposed to be ever so grateful for that. The service itself has been fine, but these charges are just a racket. Will NEVER have Comcast/Xfinity again, and I'm done defending them when people talk about their bad experiences. Terrible, terrible company I talked to a `sales' rep and just inquired about just internet service service . The person quoted my a big package with a price of 180 something dollars. I kept telling him that all I wanted was internet. Anyway a few days later I received two huge boxes of internet tv equipment. I called back, and after a lengthy discussion the rep said that they would send someone to pick up the boxes and the account would be close. Of course no one showed up so I had to return to UPS. A few weeks later I got a bill for almost 300 dollars. I refused to pay and they kept sending bills. I refused to pay and they turned it over to a credit Co. For the next year I dealt with them and I was told several times it would be fixed. Finally I filed a report with the FCC. Within two weeks the problem was fixed and my credit report removed. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST CABLE CO.!!!! They had me pay $150 in false alarm fees to City of Atlanta Police Dept becuz of their fault alarm system. I had instant TV and the people moved liked robots becuz of the shitty internet svc I purchased through them. I cancelled my service beginning Feb and switched to Google Fiber. I have been paying out the nose for Comcast since 2011 when I first moved into my house. $200+ bill for what at most has been 150 Mbps and a middle tier cable package. Admittedly, just been lazy and not tried to get a better deal. Finally bit the bullet and said if their current deal to upgrade to 1,000 Mbps and 220+ preferred channels is the same price, I won't even haggle, I'll just take it. Signed up for it all online and asked for drop off and self-install. I'm now on my fourth visit by a tech who can't fathom that I don't want him in my home given we have children and have kept strict quarantine. I've had to call (just hung up after put on hold for over 45 minutes) and I still have no service. They also cut off my DVR (even though that was never chosen, shocked Comcast chose to actively delete my DVR and $10/month fee without asking, usually goes the other way). I'm literally at the point where if the tech doesn't show up and everything is good on Saturday, I'm canceling the credit card, cancelling the service, and leaving all their equipment at the front of our driveway. Life's too short to deal with these idiots who can't seem to get a basic installation with no quirks done. I truly hate that Google Fiber and AT&T aren't in our neighborhood and check almost monthly. Absolutely incredible they can be this truly awful at a normal install. I HATE that they are the only option (though basic cable with AT&T is what I'll be going to later this week as I'm that fed up I don't even care to keep the higher speed if this is Comcast's service given what I'm paying and how simple. After 3 tech service calls appears resolved. Hesitancy is due to this is new residential development so not sure to long term resolution. Supervisor Jefferson tries to ensure best service however elevated to Tom Karinshak office has great lip service but no action. Say they will follow repair thru cycle but have yet to receive any follow-up. No accountability for CS reps because each complaint is assigned to different agents who have no issue history! Run from Comcast! Comcast will make you overpay for bad service, and force you to bundle services you do not need. Comcast customer service is terrible, and they incentivize their customer service agents to try make you pay money. When you finally try to disconnect your service, they make it extremely convoluted, delay your request, and then charge you BS fees (fees on top of any early termination fee). The cable companies also limit competition in neighborhoods so they don't face consequences for their poor service and rude behavior. read more

This review is about the Xfinity internet service we currently have. We signed up with Xfinity 2 months ago as we left ATT. That was our biggest mistake for the year 2016. Indeed, at the time we were signing up, nobody made us aware of the 300 GB limitation. Xfinity will allow you to go over your 300 GB 3 times as a "courtesy", and thereafter you will be charged $10.00 for any overage of 50 GB. The people at Xfinity I talked to over the phone today were very uncomfortable explaining this to me. One of them (a manager) even told me that there were no limitations to the use of the internet (300 GB do not sound like a limit to him), he also said that ATT has a limit of 200 GB which was very inaccurate (we left ATT 2 months ago). The Xfinity individual I talked even tried to sell me a deal of unlimited internet if I agreed to pay $35.00 more. I will tell all my contact about this highway robbery, and very funny way of doing business. read more

Every Sunday evening and at least one night a week I experience an outage. Go online and it says it's an area outage. Enough is enough. They still charge the same no matter how many hours a month it is down. They know where the outage, how often and for how long it is yet never offer a refund or credit. Calling customer service is like going to a comedy show and sitting in the front row and get blasted by the comedian on stage. If you have other options I really do advise you take it. Their fees and add-on fees and fees for the fees is 25% of my bill. Coming up on 6 years as a customer and I am officially done. What a joke this provider has been. I've been a customer since 2012, after I moved here from San Antonio, TX using Time Warner (also another joke). Although they have said Xfinity would do better, they just aren't. It depends on who you're talking with over the phone or chat. But, I've spend many hours on this issue, and am now being patronized by a 3nd-level technician named Adrian, who is trying to double-talk me while telling me there is no solution. Problem is that my DVR is breaking, and they have no way of saving my recordings. After 6 hours of dealing with various technicians, I'm being told, "Oh well ... you know how technology is ... it's not perfect!" That is unacceptable to me. I am VERY technical, been involved with computers since 1978, and in no way, shape, or form should anybody from Xfinity try to tell me their crappy service/equipment is the best they can (or WILL) do. I've only had the X1 Platform since November 2016, and the box is breaking already? They have this THING on their website called Stream, which is actually Cloud technology. It was the only potential way to get my recordings off the Cloud back onto a replacement DVR. But, egads, the Cloud only preserves 59 % of the actual recordings of anybody's DVR and I was told they won't change it. Then, there's no guarantee a home-technician can actually put everything on the Cloud back onto another DVR. Week before last, the Cloud was missing 14 of my recordings. Now, it's missing 25+ of them, because something (or someone) deleted a bunch. What good does that service do if they can't replicate EVERYTHING that is on my DVR? Now, they're advertising that you can see any of your DVR recordings through Stream on different devices? LIE & false advertising! Then, I get told that Xfinity will be completely moving away from DVR's and only use the Cloud. A technology that nobody knows why anything happens, except Engineers who don't talk to the public. So, communication gets lost in between Engineers and Technical Support at any level. This is all hogwash to me, and why I'm looking at going elsewhere, which is a joke, because they're ALL bad. I'm so tired of excuses; so tired of smart-mouthed technicians; so tired of their crappy equipment that gets recycled so much it's unreliable; so tired of spending so much money per month for this nonsense; so tired of many businesses in the U.S. that are declining in caring about anything except to draw paychecks to pay their bills ... with greedy owners who REALLY don't care. I used to be in tech-support; I used to be a software developer. That clown had nerve to tell me I know how things are! Worst. Service. Ever. Just purchased a townhome in Liberty Park and Comcast is the only option we had for internet/cable. We requested 2 wireless boxes and 1 cablecard. We were given a window of 8am-10am on Monday and I take the day off work to be here. Of course the technician arrives just before 10am and tells me he doesn't have a wireless box or a cablecard and that I will need to reschedule. After calling customer service and complaining we are told the technician will try and find a wireless box and card for us and call within the hour. 30 minutes later while getting a sandwich down the street I get a call that the tech is my home, I tell them I will be there in 5 minutes, when I get there he is gone. I call Comcast AGAIN and I let them know I am here and was told I'd get a call when the tech was on his way with the boxes NOT when he was already at my home and couldn't even wait 5 minutes. They apologize and say he will be back that we was checking the "signal"?? 2 hours later I'm still waiting. No call NO show. I call them back a 3rd time, they say they are checking on it and I will get a call back in 30 minutes. Nothing. This is absolutely the worse I've ever had to deal with. read more
