If I could rate them a zero, I certainly would do so. Very difficult to get through the automated system to the needed department. When someone answers they are rude, unknowledgable, un-helpful, tell you one thing, then another person contradicts. Hung up on me. Mis-directed my call. Some barely speak English. This is absolutely the worst excuse for "customer service" I have ever dealt with. The website doesn't work properly. The website & the first (of 3) persons told me I could get a return mailing label if I contact customer service. She said she was transferring my call, but hung up. The next person transferred me to collections, then I talked to someone, supposedly in customer service, who told me they don't send labels. She told me to just drop it off at a UPS store and they'd "know where to send it." This company is the absolute worst. Went to the store in martinsburg. I ended up Walking out. The girl waiting on me acted like it was bothering her to try to help me then another girl tried to interrupt and I told her to go away. I told the manager how unhappy I was, and all that was done was giving me a phone number to call. Did not try to send me with somebody else or to help me at all. I recently switched to Xfinity mobile, I am renting a phone I was told was insured under the rental, I had the employee put a case and screen protector. I wasn't sure about the film screen protector, but was assured by the representative it works, well 2months in my screen is cracked, not sure how being I'm a retired Veteran and don't do much. I've had to go to this location 2 or 3 times before and I knew that it was a small office with terrible parking, as other reviews have mentioned. But you can't really do anything about that. I pulled in and got the very last spot so I knew that was probably bad news for the customer service line. There were three parties ahead of me, and only one woman working. She was very polite and patient with each person, even as the line began to form out the door. She was doing the best she could to serve each person's request while still trying to be efficient. I know that no one enjoys standing in line...but people have to remember that it's not the fault of the worker. I just wish Comcast would open additional offices since there are limited cable/internet providers in this area. read more

I have had xfinity for years, to say I have spent many, many house payments worth of money on you guys would be a severe understatement. Here I am 2 days moved in to my new house and I still don't have Internet or cable. I called yesterday when I moved in to have them help me self installation and was told that the xfinity box wasn't turned on and that they would send out a technician free of charge. Cool, sounds great. The technician was sent out between 1-3pm which he arrived around 2pm but he was sent to my old address where I moved from. So I called again to have you guys resolve my issue and was told that my xfinity box at my new house could be turned on remotely and was done so and all I had to do was go home and unplug both my modem and cable box and plug it back in and it would work. I did so, but for some reason it wouldn't work. So I call when I get home around 8pm and I sit here on the phone with an agent named John or Juwan or something along those lines and I am unable to get it fixed through his troubleshooting. I am told that the only way to have it fixed is for a technician to come out and fix it but they can't do so until after the 24 hours of the work order processing is done from my move of address. So I tell them to cancel my old account and start a new one or find some way to work around it but all I get is "sorry sir, we are unable to do that". I am annoyed and beyond aggravated. My fiancé and I need Internet for our job and also school work. It is unbelievable to me that there is not some sort of work around for this. I then asked what time our work order processed and they said 12pm on 10/21. So I don't think it was wrong of me to want a technician out here at 12pm on Friday 10/22 to resolve my problem but when I asked I got put on hold. I have been on hold for about 20 minutes now with no resolution in site. This is absolute bull. I have never paid money to a company with such poor customer service, if I had any other company to choose from to get my services I would not be sitting here writing you now. Worst customer service in the history of customer service. We contacted them 3 weeks ago and told them we were moving and needed our service moved. We stressed the importance as we both work from home because of the Covid-19. They opened a ticket then when we called back, there's was no record of a ticket. This happened 3 times. Finally we asked for a supervisor and was told the supervisor would call us back within 2 hours. It has been 8 hours and no call. We have called back 2 times to see when the supervisor would be calling and have been assured each time we would get a call back. Nope. What a joke this company is. read more

Xfinity/ Comcast bucket trucks cut branches off my trees, lead to their uprooting and they left the mess! Cutting of privately owned trees without permission is ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND! The automated Phone line IS BEYOND AWFUL! Promises to call or come out were completely unfulfilled for EIGHT DAYS! The business's internal operations seem completely incompetent and disconnected. Had my cable cut by a building crew two days ago, which meant we lost home security, our home phone, Cable TV, and Internet. Turns out the Comcast crew that laid the cable buried it three inches deep going straight across a lot that was marked for home construction in the near future. The chances the cable would be cut by the first backhoe to start digging was 100%. But what do they care? Contacted Comcast customer service immediately and they said they'd have somebody out to fix it the next day. Two hours later they texted my wife to confirm the appointment while she was driving on an interstate. State law (not to mention common sense) made it illegal for her to even glance at her phone, let alone respond to a text. By the time she got home they'd cancelled the appointment. At no point had we been warned that Comcast might send a text confirming the appointment, or that not responding to the text would automatically cancel our appointment. Called customer service again, and they said we still had an appointment for the next day. This turned out to be a lie. Called them a couple hours later, and a different person told us we still had an appointment the next day, which again was a lie. Called them the next morning when nobody showed up, and was told we had no appointment but they could schedule us for one in four days. At that point I went #@$# on them and insisted on speaking to a supervisor. Supervisor put me on hold for ten minutes and said he'd have a tech out the next morning to run a temporary cable from the junction box to our home. This would restore our service until a regular crew would be out next week to repair and re-bury the cable. Tech comes out the next morning and has no idea what the problem is, and when told we had our cable cut by the building crew up the street he refuses to do anything. Claims he can't run a temporary cable to our house without permission from the people living in the home where the cable was cut. I pointed out that the house in question is obviously under construction -- it's nothing but drywall and tin siding and is weeks or even months away from getting an occupancy permit. But the Comcast tech was looking for an excuse to do nothing, and he'd found it. I gave him a piece of my mind and he drove away in a huff, outraged that a customer would expect him to do the job his employer promised he'd do. So here we are without home phone, Cable TV, home security, and Internet for three days and we're at least another three days from Comcast fixing it. Comcast "customer service" has lied to us over and over again, all the while apologizing profusely for lying to us. I would fire them in a heartbeat but they are the only source of high speed Internet within a hundred miles. Comcast has a monopoly, and they know it and act like it. We have been trying for over a week to get Comcast to come out and move our line from existing house to new house at same location. Made several phone calls and have been assured that the problem has been escalated to a supervisor and that some would call. No phone calls have been received. I even have a chat session printed that assures is someone would call yesterday...nope no call. Today we had an outage that lasted over four hours and they credited our bill less than $3. For sure if we had another provider we would drop them in a heartbeat but they know they have the monopoly in this area. I had cable for 29 days. In that time period I was billed four times and when they came to install my neighbors they cut my cable. I said no way I wanted to be reconnected. I was on a plan for 49.99 a month. I sent in a payment of 61.00 for the 29 days I had cable and the guy put a plate on my box so I paid for that as well. They sent the rest of the bills to collection after I would not connect back up! So yeah, get FiOS!!! It's the best!!! Update. I did get the bills sent to collections off my credit!! So scew you Comcast!! Hahahahahahaha! Worthless, now everytime I drive by a Comcast vehicle, I flip them off! The service itself works fine where I live and don't have complaints there. But in every other area-proceed with caution. They try to scam you in every way financially. I would not ever allow this company to debit your account for payment. It might just change and you not be aware! At a loss as to how to get assistance. I have for three days been trying to speak with a human at Comcast. I've left messages , gone through the chat loops and phone phone loops only to end up with "goodbye". These attempts have taken about 30 minutes each time. My most recent billing announces an increase of $20.00 to my plan. I did not request nor authorize a change to my plan. As I navigate the site, I find something indicating if the new plan doesn't work-look for other options. There is one that seems to be what I have had, for the same cost. I am older, alone trying to work as I resolve this and currently dealing with a cardiac workup. This simply isn't fair to be treated this way. My bill has always been paid before it's due and I just don't know how to resolve this. Twenty dollars may not seem like much, but living on a strict budget it does matter. Once posting a grievance on FB, a tech/well of a few of them went around and around with me. Once I informed them that I had a letter to tom Karinshak, the CEO-they told me this was their sister company and I should communicate with only one of them. I took every avenue I could to get resolve. If he is is not the CEO of Xfinity perhaps they should have provided that CEO's contact info. Again, I have literally , just today been dealing with this through ridiculous FB messenger, chatting with now 3 different people, some obviously in another country. I don't say in any way other than the difficult communication via message is only worsened by language barriers. This is now 4+ hours and still NO resolve. Not sure if cell phone carriers or Comcast/Xfinity is worse-but both are HORRIBLE. There is no minus 10, you must rate between and 1 and 5-truth be told minus 10!! If we could get satellite service we would BUT where we live we have some crazy weather a lot so our satellite service would be lousy due to the weather. I switched my phone provider from Verizon to Comcast. 1st mistake. To save some money for my C-Store. When the "tech" and I use that term very loosely , installed my modem, he disconnected my central alarm system. I totally understand the need to do this. Thing is that I believe that most "tech's" would hook it back up. Not a Comcast tech. No way. No How. Anyway, my alarm was tripped on night soon after and surprise, surprise, nothing happened. So I called my alarm company, who sent a real tech out to see what was up. Upon inspection he told me that Comcast had incorrectly attempted to re-hook up my alarm system and failed miserably. He also told me that this happen quite a bit. After a few short minutes of work he had it up and running, and handed me a bill for $95. of course he should be paid for his time and work, but on my dime? I think not. Or at least, I thought not. I called Comcast and explained what had happened. That their "tech" had screwed up my alarm system installing their hardware, and that I was billed and expected to pay for their mistake. I asked them if they would step up, and be held accountable for their mistakes. And much to my chagrin, (but exactly to my expectations) They told me to get bent. They said that they are not responsible for anything that does not belong to Comcast. Which prompted me to ask, "If you tech burned down my store, would you then be responsible?" To which Chelsea replied, "I'm sorry for your frustrations, sir, but there's nothing we can do." I gotta call "bullshit" on that one. A company that took in around $2.8 billion dollars in the first quarter this year and is unable to pay for a $95 mistake that was clearly their fault, doesn't seem very ethical to me. I would love to say that I will never give another red penny to Comcast ever again, but they pretty much own everything From the Philadelphia Flyers to Walt Disney, so Im sure no matter what I do, they will get my money.
