If I could give them no stars, I would because they don't deserve it. One of the main reasons I went with these folks is because they say they are spirit based, well, don't believe it.... after speaking with Mathew and some other man in the background...they were rude and condescending (if you read the responses to the previous complaints, you will see what I mean) so, after taking almost twice the hours in labor, losing cushions for my patio furniture, breaking 3 tables and leaving a load of stuff at my house, to say that I am dissatisfied is an understatement. The correct thing for a business owner to do is apologize and try to make things right , I got a "hell no" from the two persons I spoke to. I asked for $1000.00 to be taken off the cost..... He said he'll no, we won't make any money, I guess you will have to file a claim..... $0.60 a pound..... his drivers ended up taking 7 hours off the cost and were very apologetic..... Sweet kids , they understood the gravity of what just happened, now I have to get someone to get the rest of my things from my house before the sale closes on 2/1 so far I will have a fuel charge of $600.00 not sure what the hourly rate would be. So my advice to you is this..... continue looking, find someone with no 1 star ratings and NEVER EVER tolerate someone being hateful, argumentative and condescending in your hour of need. read more

In response to The other Negative Review the reason if anything is broken everyone that "Works" for Come and Take It Moving is "An Independent Contractor" not a real "Employee " what that means is it's a cheap way and an illegal way to go about running a business such as a moving company so they do not have to have personal liability insurance on each on of their "Employees" and In case something happens they are not held liable for anything that may happen! VERY VERY VERY SNEAKY BUSINESS!!!! Also pretty sure it's ILLEGAL!!! But these "Independent Contractors" have a set schedule and can't say no to out of town jobs to take car of their dying Fathers and get Fired because they are told they are to Depressed. So then Texas Code 61.014 says an Employee must get their last check no later 6 calendar day from day of separation, but because be is an "Independent Contractor" they will be keeping his check up to 90 days for possible damages because they are petty!!! What are those possible damages you may ask? Stuff the company can't cover because they do not have the Proper Insurance For because they are running a Scam Business!!! This will be going to the BBB along to the Secretary of State and KXAN and KVEW!!!! read more

We want to tell you what a great experience we had in the move with Foreman and Mark. Two first class guys and I hope you give them raises to keep them with CATI. Everything went as scheduled and the estimate was spot on. They didn't want me to help but they soon found I wasn't going to stand idly by while they worked their tails off. We all had a laugh as my wife knew Terry at Apache Moving and she said, "Hell no, we're not using Apache !" She knew him thru the storage facility she used to manage in Cedar Park. We kept Foreman and Mark hydrated and supplied with food as we try to treat people as we would want to be treated. A couple of broken items but I was the one who packed them in the gondola. Nothing that can't be fixed. Everyone worked safely and communicated well and no bumps or bruises for the two day move. You don't have to look any further for a reliable and competent moving company. Matthew coordinated the dates for pickup and delivery and assured me in several conversations about my needs and wishes. The day of pickup, the team arrived exactly on time Wow!! I cannot say enough about Rustin, Eddie, Anthony and Kyle. They are a super team. From the time they arrived and evaluated the project, they kicked into high gear and worked non-stop for 4 hours carefully wraping, packing and loading my possessions. Including a huge Grandfather Clock. They drove 400 miles that night and arrived at my new residence exactly on time the very next day. Again, they coordinated the unloading, moving up 2 sets of outside stairs, into an elevator to the 3rd floor apartment and never missed a beat. Not one item was broken or damaged, including many ceramic and clay pots. What a refreshing experience in this day and age of impersonal service. I can definitely recommend this company that cares. This was the second time we used Come and Take It Moving and we were just as pleased this last time as we were the first time. Clinton and Ryan were very professional, yet personal. We had a big move and they were both tireless, super strong and very careful with our possessions and home. We had 4,000 sf of furniture being moved into a 3,000 sf home as well as into a separate guest apartment and barn loft. Not a corner was dinged, nothing scratched, scraped or broken. They came prepared with tools to remove a door when necessary and put it back before they left. They were not in a hurry to leave and asked more than once if we needed anything moved around in the home and were glad to do it. They were very experienced (6 years for Clinton) and knew exactly how to lift, carry, move and turn heavy furniture and boxes without banging into things or hurting themselves. After 7 hours of moving they left with hugs and laughs. Very good men working for a well run company. read more

I did not use this business for moving needs; I am leaving this review for another reason. I was struck by a member of this company , in their company vehicle towing a trailer at 35 mph. They ran a solid red light and crashed into me, and I'm pregnant. The driver proceeded to get out and call me a stupid b**ch and attempt to shift blame to me when there were multiple witnesses. There was another employee with the driver who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.My husband called the company to be sure they were aware of the inattentive driving and cursing at me,as that's a bad business look. The receptionist literally wouldnt accept the fact the accident even happened despite witnesses and a police report, calling me a liar. He refused to give the company owners contact information and refused to provide his name. And insulted God by saying they were a faith based company. God dont like ugly... read more

Ms. C: Within the last 10 years I've moved several times. I've moved from California to Houston, from Houston to San Antonio and this past Tuesday I moved back to the Houston area from San Antonio. Of all of the movers that I used in the past Come and Take It is the best company, by far. I had a 2 man crew of David & Matt. They worked harder and smarter than companies that I've used with a 3 man crew. They were punctual, professional and courteous. David let me know step by step what was going on. Although I had a great estimate they completed the job under the bid amount. They were no surprises at the end. I would refer this company to anyone and everyone. Our recent move from Richmond, TX to Fort Worth, TX was flawless! Rustin, Jeremiah, and Miguel were a wonderful trio to work with over the weekend we moved. They were such hard working, polite, and thoughtful young men that we enjoyed all of our interactions with them. We had the best experience moving last Saturday using Come and Take It Moving. Matthew was great in getting us scheduled and answering all of our questions prior to the move. Aaron, Austin, and Joel were the most polite, professional and hard working gentleman we have ever come in contact with in a moving company. They were quick and careful, wrapping and blanketing our furniture with much care to not damage anything. They unassembled the furniture and reassembled it. They didnt even mind when I asked them to move the dresser or bed etc over a bit. We had to argue for days about damage to our goods, the home we were leaving, the home we were moving into. The Team at Come and Take it Moving made our move a breeze and zero damage to anything. The crew that came to help us were awesome, Cindy and I were very appreciative with how much care they put into wrapping and handling items, and we have a few late 1800s pieces of furniture that are very large. Driver Allen Steinbarth hit my pregnant wife in a vehicle after running a red lignt(email g.faulkenbery@gmail.com for accident report). He then proceeded to hop out of his vehicle and berate/threaten her. After notifying the company of the employee's behavior, the representative assured me that "he would never do that," despite corroboration by independent witnesses. Then he hung up on me when I asked for contact info for an owner/manager and his name...I have nothing against the company itself, but this driver is dangerous, and frankly lucky that I was not physically present for his episode. My wife and I are no strangers to moving, she had 30 years in the army and I had 8 years in the army and 22 years as a fed agent. With that being said I would have to say that these guys are the best moving company I have ever dealt with. Prompt, efficient and professional. Cory and Chris worked like horses in 106 degree weather and they were upbeat and pleasant the entire time. This is the first move where nothing was damaged not even a scratch! I am so pleased with the overall service and communication of this company from start to finish. We moved during the covid pandemic and this company took lengths to ensure quality of care and communication. We moved a four bedroom house with several pieces of furniture that were over 100 years old. Perfect communication! The moving team were fantastic and responsive.
