    Cheeseburgers and fries
    Bob B.

Interior was nice, little diner type location with counter service and a few tables. Service was mediocre. We ordered a three burger combo that came with fries and a drink but we never received the drink and the waitress never returned until we received our check. Cheeseburgers were simple with onion and pickle chips on the side. Burger itself was a little on the greasy side. Buns were overly steamed where they felt damp / chewy. Fries had a coating and were in need of salt. Not a fan. Prices were reasonable. Burger Cooke & flavor: 9/30 Burger presentation: 4/10 Bun quality: 5/10 Toppings: 5/10 Fries: 6/10 Price: 8/10 Ambiance/ service: 5/10 Total: 42/100

The Cuzzy Burger was the People's Choice winner at the 2024 Burger Brawl .... and I visited to try both it and the corned beef egg roll. The burger uses wonderfully melty Gruyère cheese is heavily sauced with: - Onion jam - Garlic mayo - Zip sauce The bun is perfection toasted. The patty has good beef flavor, but is overwhelmed by the sauces. The dill pickle slices are fresh, chilled and crisp. The sauces are excellent, but for my palate, too much ... but I am not going to fuss over it. The people have spoken and I accept their judgement. The corned beef egg roll is good, not great. Needs more sour, sauerkraut. The venue is best described as modern diner, well executed and clean. The unisex bathroom was clean. Sue was my server. She is knowledgeable, attentive and appropriately chatty. Value? This is Royal Oak. Rents are nuts. The value is good considering their Main St. location. Will I return? Yes; I will return, inspite of the city's unreliable, troublesome, lousy, half-baked, thieving, poor excuse for an automated parking system.

A must try! We loved the food and the theme of this diner. I got an Earth burger, milkshake and fries - all delicious! The fries were perfectly done and the burger was one of the best black bean burgers I've had. The staff were helpful, the service quick, and the prices pretty reasonable. Would highly recommend, hope to be back soon!

Jupiter Burger and fries . Combo.

Friday August 29 2025 Ordered a Jupiter Burger combo which means it came with the French Fries. Could not put it down. It was THE BEST burger ever. I have had several burgers from Metro Detroit and downtown Detroit. Micheal Jackson "This Is It"! My taste buds are doing a running man MC Hammer dance right now. The memory of this flavor is now embedded in my brain I'm in love. I feel like singing out loud ! This is my first time and I hope to be back.

Stellar sliders, solid shakes, and chill atmosphere I ordered a double-cheeseburger slider and vanilla shake. The Slider: the bun is not cakey but rather a soft sponge-type bread that absorbs the juice of the burger well. This leaves a great meat-to-bun ratio, and the cheese melt is glorious, covering every part of the patty. I witnessed the maestro on the grill as he made my sliders, and he used the tried and true "pinch and pull" method of lifting the patty off the grill. I then saw him scrap the melted cheese on the grill and add it to the burger. It was a marvelous process to witness and a magical taste to experience. The sliders were hot, cheezy, and accompanied by caramelized onions and a touch of ketchup added for some sweetness. I was highly impressed by the double-cheeseburger sliders I ordered, so much so that I ate 5 in total. The Shake: It was creamy and delicious, and it was just right in that Goldilocks zone of not being too thick and not too milky. I ate lunch on a Sunday, and there were only a few other diners, so it was a very calm and chill environment to enjoy my food in. The service was prompt and respectful. I was not waiting long either for my order to be taken or delivered.

My burger was pretty good, but the chocolate shake was ELITE. Unique retro diner vibes.

Old school burger feel with a modern touch. People here are very nice and friendly. The food is great. If you're in Royal Oak and want some old school sliders check em out.

The ambiance was great ! It reminded me of an 80's diner kinda like in riverdale ! So if you're looking for a diner with that aesthetic I would absolutely recommend comet burgers. The food was a solid 9.5/ 10 for me. I got the comet slider I believe that had the egg on it. It looked really good when it came out and it tasted even better ! I personally just don't like runny egg yolk but it went really well with everything on the burger and I was so surprised by that. I definitely recommend :) The service was amazing as well... there was great customer service. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about their food. I came here with my brother and my niece and they also said the customer service was pretty good. We enjoyed ourselves and most likely will be back !

This place is a small cute place in Royal Oak, Mi with friendly staff and service. Food cooked to order and the place is pretty clean . Must stop by to try the fries.

Mozz sticks and two sliders. Very good

I have always seen Comet Burgers in downtown Royal Oak but never stopped by. I was browsing Uber Eats tonight looking to possibly order dinner, and they had a ridiculous promotion up: spend $15+ on your order, and get $15 back. I figured that had to be a mistake but lo and behold, it worked! (I'm not sure if this is because I have "Uber One," the premium version, or what ...) I ordered two sliders, no ketchup/mustard (I'm a burger purist), with just the pickles and onions; six mozzarella sticks; and a large order of fries. My bill was like $15.05, and with taxes and a tip, I paid about $5 out of pocket. :O The verdict: -Sliders: very good, though I wish it had more onions (those were tasty) -Mozzarella sticks: delicious, and still nice and crispy -Fries: still crispy, which was good, but could use some salt. Didn't taste like any was on it. Also a large portion. Although the company may not have made much off my order, they now have a new customer, as I will be ordering again when I am craving sliders and/or mozz sticks! I also saw they had fried mushrooms, which I love, and seasoned fries, so perhaps will try those next time. My only complaint is that from the time I placed the order, to the time I received it, was about an hour (and I live 10 minutes from Royal Oak), but I suspect this is more to do with Uber Eats than with the restaurant. Thanks for the discount and also the tasty food!

Garlic and parm fries! Would have shown the burger but it was so good I forgot to take a picture!

All I can say is wow, delicious! Try the cuzzy burger and garlic parm fries!! I would have shown the burger but it was so delicious I forgot to take a picture!

I came in here on a whim because I was in the area. I like the retro decor. I had a couple of sliders and onion rings. The food was decent but nothing to get me to return. There are many options in the area, and I will give some of them a try next time.

The servers are all well trained, and highly professional. The food is fantastic. The menu is the standout; it is very creative and has something for everyone. Let's start with their breakfast. This is probably the best breakfast/brunch place in town. Too bad they're only open weekends for breakfast. Whenever we have family back in town or friends from out of town, this is our go to place. Casual relaxed, friendly with quality food. If you haven't been here for breakfast, I would highly recommend it. The only comment I have is they don't open for breakfast until a little bit later in the morning. Usually, there is a line out out front waiting for them to open. We've had most things on the menu and to be truthful, not one thing has disappointed. Dinner: we don't get here too often for dinner because in my mind, this is our go to breakfast place. Last week we tried it for dinner and again, very pleasantly surprised at the professionalism of the wait staff, the quality of the food, and the overall dining experience. As we followed our greeter to our table I kept screaming in my mind "no no no no no not that table no!" and she sat us at a table in full blasting sun. Nevermind the fact that there was a whole shaded section in the back part of the patio area. The rest of my group said it was fine and a beam of sun slowly bore a hole through my chest. Drink orders were up. I ordered a fabulous cross between a Moscow Mule and a Mojito. A+++ for the drinks. Mine was loaded with fresh mint from their garden. Same grade for our waitress who explained the drinks in detail and ended with "ugh- are you sure you want to sit at this table straight in the sun?" The other two said it was fine. I was ready to move, but was out voted. She continued to check in regularly and brought extra water. Most items on the menu were hot. I considered the fish, but we all landed on appetizers and we would just bounce from place to place for bites and drinks. We ordered the charcuterie board and the lavender lemon whip with bread and cucumbers for the 3 of us. The charcuterie board was the large version and had minimal offerings. It wasn't full and pretty. It was little piles of each thing on a board. This one definitely wasn't making it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There was a little pile of mixed nuts, a little pile of lose green grapes, a little pile of lose red grapes - not all grapes pristine or large and none were on the vine. There were 3 little piles of cubed cheese and 2 types of sliced sausage and sliced pepperoni. There were 8 crackers that were wheat thin size. This matters because we had some onion jam on the board and a nice serving of mustard. There really wasn't anything to put them on except for the 8 little crackers. That part was weird. These weren't elevated offerings. I could have picked up any of these at Walmart. They were not elevated quality either. We also got a lavender lemon infused whip which was their answer to tzatziki sauce. It was excellent but again, we were given so much of the sauce without a bunch to put it on. The cucumbers were sliced lengthways and there was a lovely bread that tasted like sourdough. There was 6 pieces of bread, and these were not particularly large pieces. A lot more would have been needed to use all of the sauce they gave. The proportions were off. All together the bill was over $100 for the 3 drinks and appetizers. If I ever did go back I won't order food based on what I experienced. There are too many other great options within walking distance.

I let her know what was missing and she said it was her fault and asked if I wanted it fixed. I said yeah and she went and got a cold piece of cheese and slice of onion and put it on a plate and gave to me to put on my own burger. I'd expected a little bit better service and I'm certainly not someone who demands top tier service from every spot. Fries were crispy but needed some parm or an aioli sauce to dip in. Also minor note but I had some fries left on my plate and when she came to collect plates I had food in my mouth so I couldn't say anything but she took the plate and my fries! They should always ask if there's any food left on the plate. Burger was decent overall, but definitely nothing special. Environment was cool and I'm sure they have got some other delicious items on the menu but for the price paid and service received, I'd go somewhere else next time.

They have a "gamemaster" who helps you select from the hundreds of games they have available. You can reserve a game table online in advance for $3 per person and that reserves you two hours of game play time. The restrooms are a little nightmarish. Literally in a dark, damp basement.
