My daughter and I stopped off at this little hot spot today, 30 March 2026. We wanted to dine in and when went inside, we saw that there were about 5 two person tables, so that was nice. We ordered two chocolate milk shakes, 2 regular hand cut fries and 3 burgers. We ended up taking it all to go. The fries are cooked in beef tallow which gives the fries a great flavor. The milkshakes were delicious and the whipped cream topping was amazing!! I ordered a tripple burger with no pickles or grilled onion, but added fresh onion. I think that burger lasted less than 40 seconds. The buns are buttery and fresh and the beef patties had a nice little crunch around the edges like a true smash-burger should! The service was top notch and everyone was attentive and very helpful. If you're in the area and looking for a GREAT burger, this is the place! We will definitely be back! Finally got a chance to check out the smashburger specialists over here at Patty and Press. I keep hearing all these wonderful things about it and I am happy to say they didn't disappoint. I didn't add a pic of the burger only cause it took me a couple of stops to get home and I don't feel like I captured the glory of either (classic smash and West Coast smash). Also, (hee hee hoo hoo ha ha) I ate the mozzarella sticks before I even thought about taking a pic. There are plenty of pics on the page already, so no great loss on any of it, but I wish I had it for myself. The burgers were perfectly cooked. The centers were soft with the crisp char on the out ring. If I had a complaint of any kind is that it ran a little salty for my preference. I've come to expect that from any kind of restaurant burger so I'm not marking them down for it. I ordered online and it said about 24-35 minutes and it was ready in about 15 which was great. Granted my drive there is another 15 minutes so it worked out well. Really eating in isn't much of an option. It's a small place, not a lot to it. Obviously the idea was to keep this a to go type of place and they did a great job. Will definitely be becoming a regular. read more

Absolutely loved this place! The smash burgers were perfectly crispy on the edges and packed with flavor. The highlight for me was the sauce selection. Every sauce was incredible and made each bite even better. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the flavors. The staff were also super friendly and welcoming. Finally got a chance to try Patty & Press. It's a small place inside with around 4 tables, so mostly carry out. They have computers to put in your order, or you can order with the friendly folks at the counter. There are only a handful of burger and chicken choices, but you can do a lot of customization and adds and deletes. We didn't try the fries that are made in beef tallow, but I'm sure they're good. The burgers themselves are tasty and nice and smashed and crispy. The buns are soft and delicious. The prices are decent for what you get. I liked the sirracha maple bacon, and their house sauce is unique and quite tasty. read more

As someone who eats a lot of burgers at a lot of different places, this was a substantial disappointment. The burgers are not smashed thin enough to really call them a smash burger and have no crispy edge whatsoever, but aren't thick enough to be a good gourmet burger either. They fall somewhere in the middle and come out tasting like they were cooked at a backyard barbecue by an amateur cook. The buns are firm in a way that makes them seem stale, but are mostly just better suited to a different style of burger. The toppings are minimal and easy to lose track of beneath their mediocre sauces that don't stand out from any other restaurant's offerings. The shakes are decent, but small for the price, and the fries and onion rings are the only thing actually meaningfully good at this restaurant compared to anywhere else. If the food here cost about half as much it would be tolerable, but at these prices I will be surprised if they last more than two years. They're definitely not smashburgers, they're mediocre at best, and any other burger joint in the area will just give you better burgers for the price. Unless you're in love with their milkshakes, go somewhere else. read more

This ended up being a great recommendation from some friends at work. I stopped in for a P&P burger and fries. The burger had a great flavor. The fries were excellent but I think the next time I want to try out the onion rings because they also looked very good. Minimal seating inside so I would plan on carryout. I love these burgers! They bring back memories of the burgers we had at Big Six in Detroit at Six Mile and Davison more than 60 years ago. The grilled onions are perfect - soft and sweet. Fries are tasty, too, though I'm still not sure about this new trend going back to cooking in lard. The shakes should be thicker. Restaurant is clean. Staff is friendly. I saw this place recommended on Facebook and decided to try it out. I love how the smash burgers are grass fed and that fries are cooked in beef tallow. It adds a new depth of flavor and it's a business I feel good about supporting because of the care they put into their food. I got the west Coast smashburger and my boyfriend got the p&p smashburger and honestly these are the best fast food burgers you are going to get in Michigan. I would say it is comparable to a Five Guys burger but the ingredients are higher quality. Our favorite things were the lemonade, shake, and onion rings. I would go there just for that. The shake is rich and thick and I can taste the ice cream, the onion rings are crispy and delicious, and the lemonade was refreshing. It's not processed lemonade and you can actually taste the tang of the lemon. The fries were good (better than five guys) but I prefer the onion rings 100%. I would recommend ordering takeout unless u must eat here. The seating is very limited and close together, plus you feel the draft of the door whenever it's opened. Overall, amazing place and I would recommend it even if it is on the pricier side. read more

I always check out new burger and shake places and was wowed - finally a burger under $8, best burger in awhile especially because of their sauce, and finally an easy to drink shake. Husband got the chicken sandwich and liked it. Only recommendation is to do breaded onion rings instead of battered, they tasted strange to me and my husband. Good service! read more

Patty and Press caters the slider fanatics with a modest but well prepared menu. The buns are fluffy and the thick fries are crispy. Everything was hot and the presentation was spot on. I had the Classic single and my wife had the West Coast. In addition to the fried, we had onion rings. My only critique is there were quite a few short pieces in the fries. It kinda felt like they dumped all the leftovers into the basket. A small thing that I chalk up to a new staff since they were only open 3 weeks. I went there for lunch today. Good thing I was alone because there are only a few tables to sit at. So it is mostly a carryout business. I ordered the classic combo. Single patty smash burger with a large portion of fries and a can of coke. The burger was excellent. With cheese, pickles, onions, and some kind of sauce. The fries were also really good. I heard on FB someone say they are cooked in beef tallow. Canned soda was a disappointment. I would prefer self serve fountain soda in this situation. The menu says fountain drink, maybe that is in the works. This place is new and I hope they do very well! read more

First time. Have to say it was quite a pleasant surprise. Ambience was good. Had a diner malt shop vibe. White and red decor abounds. The service was good. The cooks who you can see seemed to be working hard. Ordering taking is either at the two kiosks or at the register. I ordered at the register but I did see hoards of people coming in and using the kiosks seemingly without issue. I ordered the west coast burger, fries and a chocolate shake. You should know they use only beef tallow, avocado oil and olive oil. The Burger was delicious. No complaints. The shake was pretty good. The chocolate flavor was pronounced but tasted like a quality chocolate was used. Very good. The fries had a nice taste but if I had to nit pick it would be the semi mushy fries. They are a bit on the soggy side. Not horrible. They need to try and dial this in so that the fries are more crispy. You know, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Now that's a great burger! Ordered meals for 5, and every burger was perfectly smashed and prepared! Those grilled onions are fantastic. Quality beef, quality ingredients, phenomenal fries. The regular fries were outstanding and so flavorful. The parm fries with the truffle aioli was amazing too, that sauce is delicious. We ordered online, and even though there was a line when I arrived to pick up my order, the order was ready and I didn't have to wait at all. The place was nice, simple and clean, and staff was attentive. Best part was when we got home and opened our burgers, they were perfectly put together, not sloppy. Great job! Won't be going back. The inside looks nice and I do appreciate that they do not use seed oils, but the service was not good (99% high schoolers working). All of the female employees all had their hair down instead of in a pony tail which is a huge sanitary concern for me. We also ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes for our food to be ready. They forgot to give us the soda we ordered and waited an extra 5 minutes standing there awkwardly because no one paid any attention to us. One of the workers just stood there with her back to us even though there were no orders to put together. The front staff just did not seem well trained or like they didn't care. As far as the food; burger was extremely greasy. My lettuce wrap was essentially swimming in grease. Fries were good though. Maybe they will get better over time, but I won't be returning. read more
