Before leaving it, I specifically verified with the manager that they were able to properly clean real leather. She confirmed that they could. When I picked it up a week later, the coat was completely ruined -- the leather was faded, there was a hole in the front, and the sleeves were damaged. When I showed the manager, she said she didn't have to inspect it when it returned from the outside company that actually did the cleaning. I requested the name of the company they used and their business insurance information from both the manager and owner. They refused to provide it. Even my attorney attempted to get the information, but the owner still refused to cooperate. I eventually had to take them to small claims court, but the judge wouldn't review all the photos, emails, or attorney letters. The judge stated I should sue the company that cleaned the coat -- even though Royal Cleaners was the one who hired them and took responsibility for the service. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. If you value your leather or designer items, do not take them to this cleaner.

I can always count on a warm and friendly hello, help to and from the car, and a warm and friendly discussion while they collect a return our clothes. Recently, they taught off these years of great service with the deed of great generosity. Our family has been helping an elderly disabled neighbor without family who has struggled since his wife died a few years ago. Cleaning his home in anticipation of his discharge from hospitalization, we discovered several closets full of dirty laundry apparently accumulated since his wife died. Apparently his physical limitations prevented him from addressing the laundry and it just built up. The resulting more than two truckloads of laundry was overwhelming. I'm sure where to go for a solution, I contacted my friends at Star Cleaners. I was overwhelmed by the response. Not only do they have a great laundry service, they charitably arranged a substantial discount that I can only hope is breakeven for the services. Certainly the service wasn't reduced in anyway. The laundry had been sitting for a long while, contained some dirt that many cleaners would be reluctant to handle, and in many cases required extra treatment and care to remove stains, mildew, and other issues. Despite these challenges, the Star Cleaner family provide Cadillac service salvaging virtually all of the linens, dry cleaning, clothes, and other laundry with the same meticulous care and detail as one would expect for much valued antique wedding dress or a priceless designer gown. If you or your family need dry cleaning or laundry for your every day needs or for some special item, I encourage you to check out Star Cleaners. The card system is outdated and should be retired to accept tap to pay on the machines. The fee you're charging and then locking up endless amounts of small change on cards for the people to carry around isn't worth the effort. As a business, make the change. Further more, every other machine is broken. Who ever your maintenance agreement is with, switch to a new vendor. You shouldn't have more than one or two machines down at a time. I counted 14 while I was. That's lost business and on a weekend. The signs clearly have been up for a while leading me to believe the machines are being repaired poorly and damaging customers clothes which is what I see is called out in other reviews. I hope you're fixing the machines properly any time they break. The place is really directly. The floors are filthy. I came first thing on a Saturday morning and you can tell no one cleaned this place in years, let alone the night before. There is cakes of dust and debris on the floor. I was worried to drop anything out of machine risking it would touch the floor and I'd have to rewash it. Take down all the cheap paper signs and redo the bulletin boards. Have coffee somewhere in the vending machines. Do a coat of fresh trim paint to clean up all the damage. Remove the broken machine chairs in the kid area. Make that your coffee bar.
