Best coffee in southeast Michigan, hands down. I personally believe Yemeni coffee shops have some of the best coffee, and Sana'a just does the best at everything. Their caramel macchiato is one of the best lattes I've ever had, the flavor of the espresso and the syrups come together in a way I have never found elsewhere. I haven't tried many of the treats there but those I have had were great. I really enjoyed this drink a lot more than I thought I would. The ambiance is also so cute and perfect for a date or studying! We stopped here on the way to a park to get some coffee for our hike! We're always excited to find Yemeni coffee places in our area and try them. It did not disappoint! We both got the Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso and loved them! I could definitely taste the brown sugar and appreciated the right amount of ice and smooth espresso. It wasn't too strong and had the perfect sweet flavor. The staff was kind and our drinks came out quickly! The atmosphere was clean and there were plenty of seats if we had wanted to stay and chat or do work. I always appreciate having a variety of seating options. There are fabric benches that aren't pictured where we sat while we waited that were cozy. This elevated our hike and I will definitely be coming back! read more

Pricey but delicious! Plenty of parking in front. We ordered the banana matcha latte, sana'a chai, and pistachio milk cake. They were all delicious!!! The banana matcha latte was yummy and flavors mixed well. I just wish I didn't fully mix it because then it only tasted like matcha. The sana'a chai is good (but if you like sweeter drinks, I would add sugar). The pistachio milk cake was unique and I usually don't like cake but this looked amazing! It has a great flavor. The texture was a little too soggy. Bathroom was clean! A big plus is they give out free Quran's in English. I have some muslim friends and have been wanting to read one to understand more and am happy to finally receive one! And the cover is very pretty! read more

I'm always pumped when there's a new coffee spot opening nearby, and was extra excited to find out that there's a new Yemeni coffee house in Ypsi! The interior of Sana'a is a great layout -- super clean and it feels very premium. I definitely appreciate that there are a lot of seating options, offering good choices regardless of if you're there to catch up with friends or get some work done. The menu offers a mix of standard coffee shop fare, and some favorites you might find in another Yemeni coffee shop. On my recent visit I got an iced Mofawar (which was excellent), and picked up a slice of pistachio cheesecake as well. I always appreciate a good honeycomb as well, and Sana'a 's honeycomb meets what you'd expect! (Also... if you haven't had honeycomb before... you're missing out and you need to get on that!) The only asterisk to Sana'a is the wait time... I've experienced this myself and other friends have reported similar feedback, but if you're planning a quick visit to Sana'a, you might want to allocate at least 30 minutes. It's definitely a high quality experience, but it seems like they have more demand than they can handle, and even after you put in your order, you'll be waiting for a while to get your items back. Overall, Sana'a is still a great place to stop by! Just make sure your schedule allows for enough time to really enjoy it. read more

This place is so delightfully spacious and inviting. I would love to do in for a full coffee service sometime. As it was, we only picked up a mocha and a Sana'ani Latte (cinnamon & cardamom), both half sweet, and both were really lovely. I would definitely come here for drinks again. It's a very convenient location just off the freeway, lots of parking available, fast service. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable and sweet. Contactless payment was easy. What you don't want to miss out on is the cake & pastry case...wow. I wanted everything. We settled for trying the Sabaya (Phylo, butter & honey) and the Dubai Pistachio Chocolate. Toasted up the Sabaya at home, drizzled with honey and enjoyed! It wasn't super sweet on its own so that was lovely to know. I am so curious about the rest of their desserts. I went here to grab a coffee and meet a friend. The place sits in a plaza off of Ellsworth. It has outdoor seating and various comfortable seating indoors. It's a great place to relax, do some work or socialize. There are various coffees and pastries. I ordered a sabaya drizzled with honey and a brown sugar oat coffee. I decided to visit Sana'a Coffee House after catching sight of their exterior sign. It is bright, shiny gold and really reflects the style of the cafe inside. The space feels very sleek and glamorous. There is a lot of shiny marble, gold accents, and mirrors. There is a mix of tables along with comfy chairs, with plenty of room to sit either by yourself or with a group. The style is pretty unique for a coffee shop, but it definitely works here. I was really pleased with the food and drinks at Sana'a House. I got the chai latte which I thought was very good. It is quite milky, but had some really nice flavors. They are also willing to make it "light sugar" if you want it a little bit less sweet. I also tried the Bee Bites, which is a honeycomb shaped pastry that is filled with a cream cheese and drizzled in honey. I really, really liked this! I usually find pastries to be overly sweet, but this really wasn't. The only sweetness came from the honey. The rest was pretty savory and it made for a really nice tasting dish overall. I definitely recommend! The staff at Sana'a were very kind. They brought our drinks out to us on a cute tray and overall did a great job of making sure that we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend Sana'a and I'm glad to have them as a wonderful coffee house option in Ypsilanti! read more

My boyfriend and I came back a month after having an issue with the cashier not accepting our money. We were compensated for the issue and the manager was understanding and very kind, he even went out of his way to call us. We got an oatmilke shaken espresso and a pistachio latte and they were amazing! My favorite part about this place is the cake tho! Firstly if your Australian and miss real coffee this amazing coffee house has it . From the sparkly lights to the black and gold cushion lounge this place is like stepping into Nirvana. The people are so so nice and the food - wow ! I had the pistachio baboosa and it was like heaven with the most seductive subtle rose syrup . The husband had the tiramisu cheesecake and as you can see from the photos we had to stop eating for the photos as it was so delicious. I love this cafe! The red tea is delicious and I cant think of anywhere else to get such items as Yemenis coffee. I was waiting for a friend and sat reading a book in the comfy chairs for hours sipping my tea. Great atmosphere and they bring your order to the table for you!
