What a great food truck! I love their Columbian food so much that I've started following where they will be going from their posted schedule. The owners are super friendly. The food is really great! I love their empanadas & arepas and they lots of options to choose from such as chicken, beef and cheese. The sauces are fresh & yummy. Avocado and herbs are fresh. It's nice to see something a bit different from the usual food trucks around town and Comete Alguito doesn't disappoint! This was only their 3rd time in Lexington (as they are usually in Richmond) and I hope to see them around more often. We tried the arepas, empanadas, and beef bowl and all were excellent. The plantains were perfect and the price point is great for the amount of food. There are so many other options on the menu that I'm hoping to try too. read more

We love Comete Alguito! The food is cooked with corn oil and all of it is gluten-free, so it's a very allergy-friendly place. I had the veggie arepas and couldn't get over how tasty everything was! Also, the churros are divine. I highly recommend checking out this food truck! read more

This food truck had come over to my employer for the day and it was unique. The food names, Arapa and Empanada, would seem to make it very authentic. The empanada was definitely something I was familiar with thanks to a certain restaurant chain (Taco Bell). Of course, it was different because instead of artificial apple flavor and high fructose corn syrup, it was replaced with the choice of meat, chicken. The meal was also very avocado heavy as well and the apple beverage they serve here is definitely something one would have a tough time finding within the U.S. Definitely, if food trucks sell South American beverages, go for it. The U.S. does not seem to have a market for apple soda. read more
