I ate there a year ago and the food and service was great..so when I came back into this area I was excited to take my friend there. Unfortunately things seem to have changed, right off the place was filthy..gone was the condiment bar and nice atmosphere..instead there were 4 people gathered around up front talking loudly..we stood there for a while ,finally one girl told us to just go ahead and find a seat..which we did..then proceeded to sit there for 20 minutes while the workers were laughing and talking very loudly..we tried waving,coughing,but to no avail..finally we just got up and walked out..as we did.one lady grabbed 2 menu's and started toward us..too little and too late..I'll never go back there...instead we went a mile up the road to the River Cantina,and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness,great service,and good Mexican food!..if in this area,I recommend it read more

Wow. I really want to meet the people that gave this place a 5 star review, maybe shadow them for a week and see what food they normally eat. I would then introduce them to salt and pepper and move up from there. 5 stars??? A GEM of a place? Come on. I could have gotten better mexican food from Meals on Wheels. I understand I didn't order from a booming food metropolis...I get it...and I was prepared for possible mediocre quality, but like...what was this? ZERO seasonings in the meat. Ground beef was watery. Queso was thin, drippy, and bland. Had more water in it than cheese. Srsly a joke. Tamale had no flavor. Tasted like a chunk of cornmeal mush. Corn tortillas were wet and mushy. Egg in the chili rellano is like some kind of pre-frozen processed egg product. Salsa tastes like basic tomatoes with a tiny hint of spice. Rice was trash. Alright. Seeing as how the people in this area have very little understanding of how Mexican food is supposed to be... this place is a JOKE! Los Two Brothers? Not even good Spanglish There's a sign that says "Country Cook'n" outside the establishment. The staff was as white as the cocaine in South Florida. They charged me $0.50 for water!! I ordered a simple dish of chicken, rice, and cheese. I got chicken from a can, rice from Uncle Ben, and the queso tasted like it was watered down, and came from the asshole of someone that ate decent queso. The positives of this restaurant? I get it, there's almost nothing else in Beattyville. That's how we ended up here, despite being worried about a restaurant that decided to name itself Los Two Brothers. Seriously, you had to put "Los" so people would know there's Mexican food, but thought dos hermanos would be too hard? The initial impression upon going inside is "Ugh what in the world is that smell?" Not at all pleasant. Eventually it kinda fades into the background. The menu is a generic, 12 page long monstrosity with fried stuff (tenders, fries), every conceivable burrito/fajita/quesadilla/enchilada combination, and a few random fried desserts (but no churros or flan). Not trusting anything not fully cooked, I got the enchiladas verdes with chicken while the husband got a pork torta. The salsa was obviously poured out of a large bottle, and the chips were edible and warm. The enchiladas had very dry chicken, no verde sauce, and a thin white queso sauce poured over top. The pork in the torta was also very dry, and the torta came with a bunch of cold French fries instead of normal sides. read more

Beattyville is not known as a place with many eating options. This little Mexican place feels small town but is a gem for the area it's in. The food was good quality and portions were large. The mole ranchero wasn't what I typically expect but had a nice mix of spices and flavors. It was more like an enchilada sauce. My wife had the enchiladas and they were good too. Salsa was served on the table and the chips were hot and fresh. The beans and rice were what I consider typical of Mexican restaurants. The staff were friendly and were quick to accommodate our large group. I would not hesitate to return and hope to someday soon when traveling through the area. read more

Looking for a taste of Mexico...look no farther! The Guacamole and Pico De Gallo are made fresh and oh so delicious! Taquitos Locos is my go to dish because of its outstanding flavors. At $7.00 it is a great value for the size of this dish...I can only eat half of it! They have a huge menu to choose from and everything I have tried has been yummy. The service is good (occasionally slower than expected) but good. In my opinion, the best restaurant in Beattyville. read more

This little place is not fancy. Buy they have good authentic Mexican food. The salsa is great. My son and I spent a night in town and there was not a lot to choose from and so we decided to go Mexican and we loved it. We ordered fajitas for 2 and we are more than well fed!! Great little place to eat! Very reasonable prices as well. There isn't much to choose from in town so this is our main go to eating spot from now. Service is great! Your food is brought out to you quickly and you get chips and salsa to snack on until it does get there. My son doesn't like very many different things to eat but he said their cheeseburgers was the best he has ever had! I'm so glad we finally have a Mexican restaurant in this little town! read more

Driving through Kentucky boondocks, I was in a car full of hungry college students when we needed to get food. I was feeling Mexican, and decided to give this place a try. The food was reasonably priced, and came quite quickly. I had the chimichanga, and it was just what I wanted. The waitress was incredibly attentive and enjoyable.
