Ordered with a coworker and decided on getting the loaded potato. Big potato with two different toppings, onions and bacon bits. They also throw in sour cream and butter. Amazing. It can definitely fill me up for lunch and I tend to eat a lot. Some locations is carry out and I believe another location you can dine in. This restaurant also offers delivery services. I visited the Southland Drive location and it had pick up only and our order was ready within 20 mins. We had a large order but I ordered the 12 piece Buffalo wings, steak fries and broccoli casserole. The wings and wing sauce was great & well done. The broccoli casserole was good and I love steak fries but this particular time the fries were a little hard & over cooled. But normally they are fresh and great! I recommend this restaurant of you are willing to purchase a good portion amount of food and the price of the meal isn't outrageous. I need to try again, but I'll say that I was underwhelmed by my experience. The meat was overcooked and flavor was lacking. I felt it was expensive for what I received. The restaurant was especially busy the day I went, so perhaps the staff was simply overwhelmed. With all of the hype and the fantastic looking menu, I feel like it deserves a second chance. I've been in town for a couple of weeks and have eaten at this restaurant three times already the salad is the bomb! The first time I got the steak salad and ordered the grilled chicken on the side which was amazing. I will say that the chicken is better than the steak and I have ordered the chicken the last two times. It is very big and you can definitely eat off of it for 2 days and for $9 you can't ask for a better bargain! read more

I never thought that I would give a Columbia's such a high rating, but I must. Even though I'm not a fan of the Columbia's downtown, I honestly probably would've given this location a five star rating, except the last time that I got a salad, the hard boiled eggs weren't thoroughly cooked. Today however, my salad was perfect. This review is based on two experiences on grilled chicken salads to go. I'm serious when I say that this is a two day salad. You can literally eat on it for two days or make two meals of it. I like for my salads to be big, but this one tops it and wins my vote for Lexington's largest salad. The bed of lettuce is literally packed into the Styrofoam container, it's topped with a boiled egg, slices of swiss cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and warm grilled chicken. They have several dressing to choose from, but if you know me, you know that I stuck with ranch... their ranch is delicious. read more

I am an ex employee of this store. I did prep for the salads and sandwiches. You do NOT want to eat here. I witnessed an employee eating turkey he was chopping while he still had his gloves on, and a piece of turkey fell out of his mouth into the chopped turkey. I witnessed a swarm of gnats around the tomato slicer that an employee kept forgetting to clean. They use food that is dropped on the floor. Nothing has correct dates. Nothing is stored properly. Sometimes they just rinse dishes and not wash them. They talk horrible about every customer. The meat is just sitting around surrounded by flies. They use dirty rags and aprons that have been sitting g on the floor I. The back. Just no. Their current score is 75 but they should be closed. read more

We absolutely love this place! The portions are very large, including colossal baked potatoes. I always get their Nighthawk Special which is an incredibly tender steak served in a garlic butter sauce. It is sinfully good! I also appreciate that they are there to accept phone orders before they open. I called on a Tuesday at 10:30am, and they had our food ready and waiting for us to pick up at 11:15am (the time I had requested to pick it up). All orders are cooked to go (carry out or delivery). Just ordered Columbia Express for lunch today. They left my fries out. Upon calling and talking with Rick (the manger), he tells me that they can run the fries over to me or give me a small credit on my next order. I explained to him that I was at work, so bringing me the fries wasnt really going to work because my lunch was going to be over and I wouldnt be able to eat them and the whole credit thing wasnt really a good idea either because I didnt really live that close to their location, to which he rudely replies "well, what do you want?". I told him since they basically ruined my lunch, that I though replacing my entire meal seemed fair. He said that he couldnt do that. I told him not to worry about it. If you arent willing to compensate a person for their inconvienence then good luck with your business lasting! read more

Hands down one of the worst meals ever. Andy, our server did an outstanding job. He was funny and knowledgeable. For appetizers we ordered the Beer Cheese, Shrimp, and Fried Green tomatoes. The beer cheese had zero flavor. The shrimp were on ice, but came out warm. Everything tastes frozen or reheated. My friend ordered the prime rib and it came out grey. Awful. I've ordered two times now. You know what they say, "Fool me once...". First time, it was the steak tips in "garlic sauce." There was nothing garlic, or for that matter, "sauce" about it. I had a meal sent to my boyfriend for lunch on Valentines Day. I gave my order, card information, and phone number to the gentleman on the phone. When they get to my boyfriends place of business they advised him he would have to pay for the order because the card used had declined (Mind you I just deposited $2,500 the day before so I know the money was there. Instead of them calling me back to advise this so I could make sure they had correct card information he had my boyfriend pay for it. The manager told me if the card was a debit card they would have to have had a PIN number to run it. I advised he could have ran it as a credit, and they could have told me this and I would have given them another form of payment over the phone. This was a humiliating situation for both of us.
