Ive been going here for several years, since I was in elementary school and I am now 20. My previous dentist at Perfect teeth told me I had to get some teeth removed so we came here to get a second opinion, without waiting to hear back we went ahead and got them pulled only for Comfort Dental to tell me there was nothing wrong with my teeth. They are always open convenient hours that I can schedule my appointment with no problems. They are always very kind and everything is really clean. They were al gentle and concerned with my comfort which is important in any dentist office. The dentist is very kind and remembered me for every check up I have and even remembers the things we talked about from my last visit. Its not costly as my dental insurance covers everything, the business has many awards for outstanding work and my particular dentist is very skilled and knowledgeable. In all I have very pleased with this location and recommend it to anyone in need of a professional, kind, comforting dentist. I will definitely continue to come here again and again. read more

rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience so other patients are aware. My complaint is not about the treating dentist, whose clinical care I appreciated. My concerns are with the office's insurance and administrative department, namely, Carolina, which was exceptionally rude and abrasive towards me and did not perform her job professionally, which caused me extreme stress and discomfort from lack of the proper dental care because she would not submit my claims properly. Because of her incompetency, she took this out against me and initially blamed the software they were using stating that it would not submit my claims. After waiting months for this to be done properly and calling her to ask what was going on, she became excessively rude and nasty with me for asking that she process thiscorrectly. She always wanted to blame somebody else for what she could not do as required by her job. I have never met somebody so unprofessional and acrimonious as this individual. Then she tried to shift the blame on me for my attitude due to her totally incompetency. Over several months, I was repeatedly told that my primary insurance was inactive when it was actually active. I also experienced delays in having insurance claims submitted and received inconsistent information regarding the status of my claims. On multiple occasions, I was told someone would return my phone call, but weeks passed without any response. These ongoing administrative problems delayed my dental treatment, prolonged my dental pain, and caused significant stress and frustration. At one point, I had to seek treatment from another dental office because I could not get the insurance issues resolved. When I attempted to ask questions about my insurance or request copies of my dental records, I felt that my concerns were not addressed. Instead, I was repeatedly interrupted during phone conversations and found the interactions to be unprofessional and discouraging. When I asked for a copy of my dental records, she stated if I came in the office, they would call the police. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this was a recurring pattern over an extended period despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issues. I sincerely hope the office improves its insurance and patient communication processes so that future patients do not experience the same delays and frustration that I did. Repeated unprofessionalism in route treatment of this dental office by the staff is totally unacceptable. My recent experience with Comfort Dental was a comedy of errors that resulted in actual physical harm and a broken front tooth. 1. Gross Incompetence & Radiation Risks: I went in because a crown they installed was loose. The staff had to take three separate X-rays because they managed to X-ray the wrong tooth twice. Their inability to perform a basic diagnostic task resulted in me being exposed to three times the necessary radiation. 2. Blatant Negligence: Despite finally getting the "correct" X-ray, the dentist failed to mention that the tooth underneath the crown was fractured at the base. When I asked them to remove and re-cement the loose crown, they refused, telling me to "wait for it to fall off naturally." Less than 24 hours later, the crown fell off, revealing a broken tooth that the dentist either missed or intentionally ignored the day before. 3. Zero Respect for Patients: I returned the next day at 2:30 PM to address this emergency. I sat in the waiting room for nearly an hour. By 3:24 PM, I still hadn't been seen. As a parent with a job and children to pick up, I couldn't wait any longer. I am now left with a broken, exposed front tooth because this office is incapable of sticking to a schedule or providing basic care. I've been seeing the dentist Dr. Mayo for many years, but after the pandemic, he became greedy and wanted to do unnecessary work while overcharging me twice for an exam and cleaning done from the previous year. When I arrived for a simple 6-month cleaning, his office demanded I show them a receipt from the last appointment, which I paid in full upfront with an office requirement of "Cash Only," which has always been suspicious from any established business. Who carries around a dentist's receipt for 6 months? I remembered how he quickly asked "Are you done here?" and showed me out the side door in my state of confusion after my procedure. I had to pay for my visit upfront before the cleaning, but the receptionist didn't give me the receipt that I requested and expected. She mentioned that I would receive the receipt after my time with "The Doctor." Creepy! After the cleaning, Dr. Mayo evaluated my x-rays and told me that I needed a new root canal that was going to cost me thousands of dollars, despite having the Gold Plan Insurance. I wore a crown on my front tooth for years that had no damage. I complained about some sensitivity which was later healed by simply using Sensodyne toothpaste (my home remedy). But he wanted to tear it out and put in a whole new bridge that was not needed! During my second visit, after an impressive cleaning, dentist Dr. Tayde wanted to replace a cracked tooth with a crown and a grinding teeth guard to wear during my sleep. Again, thousands of dollars out-of-pocket which my Comfort Dental Gold Plan does not cover! I had no options! Why not just fill in the crack? read more

Went in June 15th to recement a crown that had popped off. After a brief exam and xray to make sure no decay was present, it was done. Later I felt a rough edge but was assured it was OK. Later a "comprehensive" exam & cleaning & xrays but still feeling a rough edge. In July I returned & then it was determined that there was a rough edge with decay & a crown was needed but my $500 dental benefit had been mostly depleted! This should have been detected on my first visit! Subsequent complaint letter to Dr Mayo & corporate HQ for some sort of refund went unanswered. Sought care elsewhere! read more

I have been using Comfort Dental for well over 15 years and I can tell you with certainty, this place has gone down the tubes. I am a lupus patient and the medications I take to control the chronic disease and other conditions associated with my has caused havoc on my teeth and bones, so much so that I had to have all of my teeth pulled. This is devastating enough without going to my dentist, Dr Alan Buetel, whom I have trusted and referred other people to, only to come away with incredibly bad dentures. The dentures are unevenly placed and actually slope to one side, the left side is lower than the right side and it is very obvious. On top of that there is an area where they have drilled so much there is a growing crevice in my dentures where food gets in and it is impossible to get all of it out and it is only getting worse. I brought this to my dentist attention in November and he told me that I had to wait until my gums completely healed before he would fix my dentures. Does that make sense to anyone? Who goes to the dentist expecting to come away with uneven teeth? Nobody. I contacted Comfort Dental via Facebook and their customer care with no response. I contacted the BBB and the Colorado Dental Association and someone from Comfort Dental contacted me to come in and have the dentures fixed. A couple of weeks ago. I get there and I am told that he is running extremely late and it would be better if I made another appointment for the first week in April. REALLY!!! So lets continue to live (or not live cause I can't go anywhere with these dentures without someone staring at my mouth) with these horrible dentures. Now I have no choice but to go to small claims court and sue not just for the money I spent but damages, and I have been damaged. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Went in to have a cleaning done. It had been about a year since I had seen my other Dentist. Decided to go here, as it was closer to home. Big mistake. First, I was told I had 5 cavities. Which is unheard of for me. Then I was told I needed a deep cleaning as I had Periodontal disease. I trusted them and scheduled an appointment After filling my 5 cavities he told me I had 3 more on the other side. Turns out, after going back to my old Dentist, I did not need all those fillings and I did not need the deep cleaning. So now I have constant aching in all my teeth and super sensitive to hot , cold and anything sweet. I have never had problems with my teeth. 6 months later, and no better. Not to mention they screwed up my insurance for myself and my son ( who they said had 15 cavities and that was not true either) I wish I could go back and do over and go back to my old dentist. Went there to have a tooth replaced on a broken denture. I have had four massive strokes so walking first thing in the morning is difficult when I went to meet with Marghuerite to drop off the denture. She was very miffed that I couldn't walk all the way to the back to hand her the denture, but rather gave it to her near the front, behind closed doors. When I went to pick it up later that day, she refused to do a bite check because (her words) "I might feel pain walking to the back and she couldn't have that, so what I got is what I get". And of course, the bite is off. I keep biting the inside of my lip. I tried to tell her this, but in teh middle of my sentence, she got up and walked away. No one else there seemed willing to help either. Would I go back for my replacement dentures? Not a chance. All tho the front desk staff was very nice, and the one young lady that helped me the first day was very nice, everyone else needs to learn how to be nice. This place even refuses to give receipts for your time and services rendered! Will call the corporate office tomorrow about this !!! read more

The main receptionist at this location needs to beg, buy, borrow or steal a personality. I've come across some pretty rude people but she gives a whole new definition to the word. I called to schedule an appointment and she mumbled every word she spoke. I asked her to repeat herself and she preceded to yell into the phone. When I arrived for my appointment and walked to the front desk, she gave me a look as if I was nothing but an inconvenience. I preceded to stand at the front desk to wait to be checked in and not one word from her. She acted as if I didn't even exist. If it weren't for her miserable presence, I might return. She makes it clear she is only there for the paycheck and nothing else is her problem. If that is the case, she may be better suited for a receptionist position at a morgue to match her liveliness. I needed a crown. I went to Comfort Dental of Golden. They gave me a temporary one, and ordered one to be made. After they received it, they tried to put it on someone else's tooth by mistake, but they swallowed it. I had already paid for the upcoming visit, but they would not refund ANY of the money. They insisted they order another crown for me. I told them there was no way I would ever go back there. I went to a different dentistry, and paid them, too. Comfort Dental kept several hundred dollars they shouldn't have, considering this monumental mistake. Very bad. read more

Something's shady with this practice- stay away!! My first experience was great no problem. Then a bonding that they did chipped a bit. No big deal but it's uncomfortable so I make an appointment. I'm super please they can get me in immediately to fix my bonding. Walk in and immediately they say we want you to know we aren't accepting your insurance January 1st. That's fine I get how horrible insurance practices are. Then they take me back and remind me 4-5 times about my insurance. Got it. I'll change next week. They ask what the issue is and I explain. They don't even look at the tooth and immediately say another dentist will have to do that but they're not available for 10 days. Wait you have a dentist available that can make the fix. I'm totally willing and transparent that I'll pay the full amount about it being a new bond but still no we won't do it and you need to come back in 10 days. What are my other options? Can you drill down the ridges that are cutting my gums? The only solution is 10 days even though I'm in the office, currently insured with you and willing to pay for the fix? Then she says the front desk shouldn't have even booked me and that's why they are having that big awkward meeting at the front. The front desk did their job, I was uncomfortable and they booked me with a dentist who was capable of fixing the issue but refused to do so for some crazy reason. I thought I would use this office because they were close to my home.They placed a crown wrong I went back twice for corrections and when it was said and done and absorbed my insurance coverage for the year I had to go somewhere else and pay out of pocket to have it completely redone.Needed multiple mouth surgeries their cost was a lot higher then another office so they suggested I keep them for my primary stuff and have the other surgeries somewhere else.I thought wonderful an office that cares enough to be upfront and really cares what my expenses are after the crown issue.Well I went for a BIG mouth surgery and was not given the proper pain meds.Was told to contact my regular dentist because the surgeon was out the day after my surgery and the medication had to be a paper prescription.Comfort dental said to have the surgery record emailed over three times they said they never got it all though the surgeon provided proof they had. By 4:30 Pm Confort Dentals RUDE RUDE RUDE office staff member Amy told me she talked to the doctor and they decided they were not going to help me with the issue after it had been something in the works for hours.The reason is because Amy was being rude and I called her out on it.So they decided they did not care about patient care and told me to mix Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain.It is in their record I have a history of bleeding ulcers and that is a complete NO NO.I expressed that to Amy and she told me "well that's to bad because I spoke to your doctor and we are now not going to help with this issue" Refusing now to do anything about my after surgery care from a bone graft,tissue graft and tooth extraction they pretty much told me to screw off.All because I told Amy I could not mix Tylenol and ibuprofen and if she looked in my record she would see that so she decided to make sure I could not receive proper treatment.DO NOT GO to this office if it's the last place in earth standing. read more

11/27/18 *pain issues, went in for observation on tooth #2 after clenching on the tooth in my sleep, Dr Tidwell noticed on that x-ray that filling on #3 wasn't to his liking, told him he did that filling last month. Dr. Tidwell claimed I only had single surface and will have to pay to have a two surface done. I challenged his statement with the fact I paid for a two surface. He checked his notes/my records and said he'll cover it, because that is in fact what I paid for. Signs of a swindler? Went into this office for a deep cleaning, which was performed by Dr. Tidwell...After 5 fillings and the cleanings I went for second opinion (within 30 days of original cleaning), and was told the cleaning I received was sub-par, along with 2/5 fillings...went back to Tidwell and informed him of the second opinion, he attempted a second cleaning without anesthetic and denied issues with the 2 fillings. Still unsatisfied (calculus visible via radio-graph and naked eye) , I requested a referral to a periodontist, upon this request, 1 day later I was sent out a patient termination letter from Dr. Tidwell, along with a partial refund for 2 fillings. When I saw the periodontist, he confirmed cleaning was inadequate. Then came another refund for the 2 sub-par cleanings at Tidwells office. I then scheduled an appointment with CCD Hygiene school where a proper deep cleaning was performed, along with scheduling a proper 6 week follow up. Was also told by Dr Tidwell I needed fillings (4 total in question) on teeth that 3 dentists I've seen since have yet to see, and at most have put a few on 'watch'...which is a more common practice in dentistry. read more

The dentist that I saw, (Dr. Zimmet) didn't even introduce himself, mocked my teeth, (I've had surgeries and issue before) and just treated me like crap. He was on his computer most of the time messing with billing me, and just didn't give a crap about anything but getting his money. Went in because they were close, took my insurance and we're open on a Sat. I was having the worst tooth pain so they gave me antibiotics to take for two days prior to pulling the tooth on Monday. It was a root canal gone bad and it needed to be pulled. This was the most terrifying experience! I was crying in the chair and left in so much pain. There is still a piece of the tooth sticking out that I am going to my regular dentist for today because I won't let this place come near me again! The assistant also told me to put my purse in a chair because the floor was dirty, ummm that's concerning, considering I am in a dental office. Do not go to this place! read more

I went there after experiencing a painful abscessed wisdom tooth. The hours and location are certainly convenient for working people with traditional hours. The dental assistant was rough and clearly lacked professional training. The dentist was nice but unfamiliar with basic meds which was very concerning as I am a health care professional. When I went to check out, the receptionist made numerous loud comments about how she had never seen a patient need so much pain med. As a nurse, I cannot use narcotics such as Vicodin which is routinely prescribed in dental procedures and had requested Tramadol which is appropriate. The dentist and I had agreed I would take both scripts and chose which med I could take based on my work schedule as well as basic antibiotic for infection. Had I been a patient sitting nearby I would have wondered if there was a narc seeking nurse in the checkout with her comments. This was not cool and I did not appreciate that a receptionist would be allowed to judge medical care the patients received She was very anxious to make sure I came back for further appts. As a nurse I have the opportunity to work with one of the professors at the local dental school. He confirmed by suspicions that the company reputation out in the dental world is that this chain attempts to push excessive dental work and some practices might be skeptical. He also stated that many new graduates work there to obtain experience and help with loan costs so quality of care may be adequate but are pushed to order more treatments than necessary. This happened to my co-worker who also used this clinic, always having to return for one more thing until the bill totaled thousands of dollars. If you use them, I would just listen carefully to what they are proposing and educate yourself. If the doctor seems to lack knowledge of American standards of dentistry then might be wise to request another. The company has a great concept and the extended hours are inviting but for me, I will go elsewhere read more

About the only positive thing i have to say about this location is the front desk person is nice. The dentist was rude ignored my saying needed a filling fixed and got rude when i said i had booked appointment to get issue fixed not just xrays. So for that u must book a second appointment. ......i.work in health care and wonder.......why two appointments? A dental emergency just come in that you cant fix my cavity? This place has gone straight down the drain the last couple of years... Every appointment gets a little worse each time I finally put my foot down after the last cleaning. I got in quickly but felt like I was at a fast food restaurant. The dentist came in for about 4 minutes, picked at my teeth a little bit and noted that I had tartar buildup and I'm thinking to myself: yeah some of it is left over from what you did not clean off last time. So he leaves, the assistant comes in races over my teeth with the vibrating brush and gritty toothpaste, has me rinse it out and then sends me out and asks if I will carry my own file up to the desk. No x-rays, nothing else and its not like they were busy, I think I was about 1 of 2 patients. Then I sit there for 10-15 minutes as one of the receptionists twiddles her fingers and stares at her computer with no one at her desk, refuses to acknowledge me all the while theres three other girls in the back drinking Starbucks and talking about which club they are going to on their day off. After the payment was finally taken and I have some questions I felt like I was having to beg for the information and got annoyed looks with every question I had about my cavities and how I could pay for them. Do any of these people even work there or is this just where they go to hang out? The thing is all of that may have been fine with me if they had just actually done what I paid them for, CLEAN MY TEETH but low and behold I walk out to the car, look in the mirror and there is still visible tartar all over my teeth.
