I was going to make this a long review about how I got here and my teeth issues but at the end of the day I went to High Point Dental because I had a toothache. When I showed up it was clean and modern after checking in Melissa showed me to the back. She was welcoming as well as calming explaining what was going to happen before the doctor came in. Then Dr. Spencer came in educated me on why I was hurting and what needed to be done.The entire process took about an hour, and both Dr. Spencer and Melissa were amazing. They constantly checked in on me making sure that I was comfortable during the procedure A+ If you are in the unfortunate situation like I was and have a toothache or in need of an awesome dentist. Great dental office all around. They have flexible hours which is super helpful for those who have typical work hours. Dr. Hutchinson is so kind and gentle so if you are an anxious person when it comes to the dentist, I highly recommend him. Dr. Whiteley is not as kind and sensitive toward anxious patients and I felt he automatically and perhaps prematurely directed me to get a root canal, and when I came in for my next visit because I hadn't gotten the root canal yet, Dr. Hutchinson instead placed a crown and it has been fine since, so I won't see Dr. Whiteley anymore when I make appointments. The staff are amazing, and allow me to book appointments via email which is much more convenient for me. All my dental work under Dr. Hutchinson has been beyond expectations and I return because of him! Dr. Spencer I have seen on 2 occasions and he is also very good. read more

I had suffered severe trauma to my mouth and i desperately needed to get teeth pulled,crowns, cleanings, exrays, the whole works, you name it I needed it done. I had searched high and low to find the right Dentist. I had almost given up until I found HighPointe Dental. Dr Hutchison and his entire team were very professional,knowledgeable, very kind and very affordable. Every other dental office I had come across until now were very cold and very uninviting. Not HighPointe Dental, this office was very hospitable and very welcoming. Infact  they treated me like family not like a stranger. Dr Hutchison did a full exam on me and explained everything I needed to have done so that I fully understood it before i agreed to anything.  Then his staff broke down the dental costs for me and I was so excited and impressed with the quote they gave me. And for the first time in this journey, I now had hope. I was able to afford all of the dental work. It was surprisingly very affordable and they offered their own in-house insurance wich i absolutelysigned up for right away.  I got to do it all at my pace and Dr Hutchison also incouraged me to get invisilign braces through a orthodontist he recommended. I felt very confident in my decision  to move forward with HighPointe Dental and all of Dr Hutchisons recommendations. As I went through this process, I was very impressed with how well he really new what he was doing because my teeth look amazing. Now that I've made it to the finish line,I couldn't be happier,  I've never had such confidence in my whole life like I do now! Best dentist we ever went to. Moved out of town and still drove back for them (after trying two near us). Professional, fast and everyone is very nice. Unfortunately our insurance changed plans, so we couldn't go there any longer. They did the impossible. They didn't cancel our appointment. They didn't get paid to do the last cleaning for my kids. They should be recognized for this way above and beyond service. It was like they cared more for my kids than money. Next time we change insurance, we will be back. Simply the best! My teeth look better than they have ever been. I can't say enough good things about HighPointe Dental and Dr. Hutchinson. I found the practice by checking nearby providers on my Medicare Part B insurance. I looked at the Yelp and Google opinions and they were amazing. I chose Dr. Hutchinson because he is from Colorado and trained at the University Colorado. I've had dentists from other areas and they don't seem to stick around very long. The administrative staff had checked my insurance before I got there and gave me the cost breakdown immediately. The dental techs made sure that I had a blanket and neck pillow, nice and cozy. I haven't been to the dentist in a long while and was amazed by all the new technology. Of course there is the 360 and bite wing x-rays. However, I had not seen an intra-oral camera before. It shows so much more detail than an x-ray. Dr. Hutchinson was able to show me the areas that needed work in living color from front, back and side instead of spots on an x-ray. They make crowns right there in the office which saves so much time and travel. I was thrilled to see that there were TV's with Netflix in the treatment rooms. There were TWO TV's, one on the wall and one overhead. They really helped to distract and pass the time. I highly recommend HighPointe Dental and Dr. Hutchinson specifically. read more

I am a nervous wreck when it comes to Dentists, and haven't always been treated well. I mostly feel embarrassed or shamed when visiting other dentists. For the first time in my life I actually looked forward to my cleaning and have had an extraction and cavities filled since that time. After a procedure my cheek was numb and I probably looked atrocious, they let me go through the side door instead of the waiting room where everyone else was without even having to ask. They had chapstick, and eyeglass cleaner for free. I have not encountered one rude, impatient or rushed doctor or staff member. They always make me feel welcome and yes I have already recommended them to the rest of my family and friends. It's hard to find my three requirements these days: 1. Knowledgeable, 2. I LOVE this place!!! I have never liked going to the dentist and every time I did go my mouth felt like it had been in a fight when I left, anyways. My first appt was for a cleaning and x-rays all that fun stuff. I had the best hygienist ever (Danielle) she took my xrays without hurting me or my gums and without gagging me. Then she gave me the best cleaning of my life! No joke. I have never had my teeth so thoroughly cleaned ever. I have since went back for 4 fillings which I had done all on the same day. Usually when I have fillings done they hurt for months after wards. Not with these fillings. I felt better the next day! No pain or sensitivity to cold. It was amazing. Felt a bit like an assembly line - first a person who 'polished' my teeth, then the dentist, then someone who cleaned them. Seemed a bit strange to polish the teeth before cleaning them - all the other dentists that I have been to clean first then polish (just like at a car wash) - maybe this is the 'new age' way of doing things. I had crowns done and they misquoted me. After they had already shaved my tooth down to a nub someone called me and said I'd need to pay $500 to get the crown the next day I was beyond upset - why didn't they get pre authorization from my insurance before they shaved my tooth off? If I would have known that I wouldn't have it done. Of course I paid it bc I needed a tooth since they shaved off my original. Don't go here. Very disappointing. I never really write negative reviews but this made me so upset I'm doing it so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Make sure you have them get your procedures pre-authorized so you don't get an unforeseen bill. read more

It may just be that I've bad experiences in the past, but the people who work in this office are super nice, comforting, and genuine. It's been a couple of years since I had insurance and could afford dental work, so I was pretty worried about the outcome. I called and told them I had pain in my tooth and they got me in right away, even though I was a new patient. They never made me feel guilty or irresponsible (even though I know I am), and just said "Well, you're here now and that's all that matters!" It's a beautiful office with advanced technology, and the prices were really great, although that might be because I have Cigna DPPO. I highly recommend this office, I'm even going to get my husband to start going here. Plus, they have great hours for people who want to come in late afternoon, and also weekend hours. So like its been mentioned this location is clean and professional looking. I never had any issue making appointments or being seen in a timely manner however I got the impression that speed and quantity are more important than addressing patient needs. My cleaning was rushed and done by more than one person. I subsequently needed a crown placed and had more pain following the crown than with previous crowns. I was seen for the discomfort with some minor adjustments made and promptly handed a referral to a specialist. I chose to get a second opinion and found that more surfaces needed to be taken down on my crown (a simple fix). Not only did the other dentist take time answering my questions but so did his staff. The pain has gotten 80-90% better without the need for a root canal. I think the office thinks of these practices as efficient however for me having my concerns evaluated when I am having an issue outweighs efficiency. read more

About a year ago, I had some emergency dental work done on my teeth at an office recommended to me by a co-worker. After 3 weeks of continuous pain, I wanted a second opinion. As I was searching for an office to call, a flier came in the mail for HighPointe Park Dental offering free consultations. The free consultation got me in the door, but the great service has kept me coming back ever since! On my very first visit, Dr. Hutchinson and his team not only took the time to go over the current issues I was having, they also took the time to get to know me and what I expected from a dental office. I have now had 2 crowns, multiple fillings and cleanings all done at HighPointe Park Dental; all without any issues. It's a really nice facility, meaning it's clean. The employees are nice, but I'm not comfortable with their business practice. They squeeze you in really quickly, which is great, really appreciative of that. I needed a crown after getting a root canal. I called in, they said the appointment for the crown would take 2.5 hours. I've had more than my fair share of crowns and it has never taken this long. They said it's because unless it is a front tooth they make the tooth in house. Hell no. They are taking an impression and putting it in a machine for the machine to craft the tooth, it will be a good fit, but I'm not putting an all ceramic crown on a back tooth, that's just asking for it to break. I refused and requested for them to send mine out to a dental technician, they agreed. In order to book the appointment, you have to either pay 10%, or you can pay 50% to lock in the discounted rate, or you can pay the whole thing. I'm sorry, but I am not going to pay ahead of time for services. I don't think this is the best business practice. In addition, they hound you, and I mean hound you (weekly calls) when they want you to come in, using the guise that I have benefits that are going to go unused if I don't use them before the end of the year. I just had a root canal and I've had a cleaning this year, most insurance companies have a $500-$1500 max benefit per year. I can assure you I've reached that. I just don't care for their business practices, but like I said, it is pretty and the staff is nice. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences at high pointe dental. The staff are all knowldegable, friendly, and they charge way less compared to other dental businesses. If you need a cleaning, then I highly recommend Allison. I told her my teeth were sensitve to cold, so she manually cleaned each tooth, was careful to minimize spraying cold water on my teeth, and she brushed them with sensitive paste. Allison was the most gentle hygenist I've ever had! She also welcomed all my questions, gave me good tips on how to better care for my teeth (outside of normal brushing and flossing) and has a great sense of humor :) She was also the first hygenist who cleaned up the 'post tooth cleaning' mess on my face so I could check out looking like a normal, decent, human being. read more

I have to give a 2 star because of the receptionist over the phone was rude. She treated me like I didn't know what I want. I called to cancel an appointment because I couldn't make it and she's telling me to call her back when I know for sure I could come in. My first visit I was advised all my old fillings needed to be replaced. They were quick to get all the fillings scheduled in two visits. All the work that said needed to be done maxed my insurance coverage. I have complained 2 twice about sensitivity and pain with one of the fillings they did. I kept getting told to allow more time and it will go away. The second time I complained I was told to go into the office. I went and I was told I had reached my max and would have to pay out of pocket for anything else. I was taken to the back and the assistant took an x-ray of the tooth. The dentist came in 5 minutes later and did NOT even look inside my mouth, just gave me a prescription for a steroid and told me I still needed to give it more time. So here it 3 1/2 months latter I still have sensitivity/pain, they wont even look at my tooth and I either have to now pay out of pocket or wait till Jan 2020? read more
