I have been going here for a couple of years and came back in for a dental cleaning. Not py do they gove superb service, the staff are genuinely friendly and professional. My dental hygienist was precise and gentle. Dentist was also knowledgeable and open to questions and was able to recommend products and brushing style to take care of my teeth. They are pretty busy given the number of clients that they have but not once did I feel, that the service was rushed, dental hygienist meticulously took her time and she did a great job! Booking an appointment was easy and convenient. I did have to point out though that I tried to book an appointment through their yelp website and they said they may have probably missed it, but it was okay as I was able to give them a quick call and they arranged it all for me and was able to squeeze me in. The clinic is clean and neat, there is also ample parking. And not did I only left feeling clean and great but I was also able to bring home some goodies!

I came here to get my teeth whitened before my engagement photos and my wedding…read more I previously had my teeth whitened two years prior at a different place in Sacramento, but the dental assistant at that other place had struggled with using this flimsy "lip condom" and she got the caustic whitening material on my lips, which caused them to swell up very badly. I didn't have that problem at Brentwood Family Dental because they use more rigid plastic to protect your lips - thank goodness! The hygienist who worked on my teeth here did a great job putting the barrier on my gums to protect them from the whitening chemical. I didn't feel any stinging whatsoever. Each round of whitening included the teeth brightening paste, then some sort of light to activate it for 15 minutes. She mentioned that it makes some people's teeth feel painful or sensitive, but it wasn't so bad for me. I think the hardest part was that I was getting bored of sitting still for so long by the end of it. But oh my gosh it was worth it!! My teeth looked incredible - I had never seen them so bright in my entire life! The hygienist/ dentist made sure that I understood the "white diet" before I left, so that I didn't accidentally stain my teeth while the pores were open. It was a bit of a challenge to only eat clear or white foods and trying to avoid things that were sweet/acidic as well, but that was an important step to preserve the results. She also took a mold of my teeth so she could send me home with an at-home whitening touch-up kit for right before my wedding. I am very happy with the service and quality I experienced here and looking forward to coming back when I need teeth brightening again in the future!

I called the office the following day to dispute the charge because neither I nor my family has been seen there in years. When I asked why I was only being notified now instead of at the time of the visit, I was told that they had recently completed an audit and that this balance had come up. During the time we were patients, we lost confidence in their recommendations because we felt pressured into dental work that we later questioned and believed was unnecessary. Horrible communication! Called her from a referral and the first thing discussed was appointment…read moretime and date. I had to fit into her schedule before she'd see me, this is understandable. An appointment was set, talked about personal details and nothing was mentioned about additional information needed. Four days pass and she called and left a voicemail at my home that said that she was returning my call. This was strange to me since I was not expecting a call from her. I didn't see the voicemail until a few days later, regardless, the voicemail doesn't mention that any details were needed by her for an authorization for an appointment. The day of the appointment comes and I call to confirm. I left a voicemail for her to call my mobile and to confirm the time. At the time of the appointment, while I am walking to her office, she calls my home phone that I have routed to my cell and says that I do not have an appointment today, or any other day, an appointment was never set. I'm 50 years old and have set, and attended many appointments, I assure you that an appointment was set. Her communication process regarding appointments is baffling to me. She said that she needed information in order to authorize, this is fine, but communicate what you need when leaving a voicemail. Your voicemail made you sound like you didn't realize that you have already called me, why would I point out your incompetence? I'm baffled, simply baffled by her poor communication. I have no idea what she knows about MFT stuff, and I never will.

My husband and I moved from the Bay Area (San Jose) to Lathrop about 2 months ago. My husband advised me that he was going to look for a New Dentists office out that way which made me nervous. Trying a new dentists after I have been comfortable with my current one kind of had me stressing. I had a bad experience back in the day with a dental office and ever since I have hesitated unless my husband is there with me. Anyway, he called 1-800 Dentists to get some assistance in finding another Office and they gave him several numbers. He chose Comfort Dental Care in Tracy and we had our appointment yesterday. This office gets 5 stars just on First Impressions alone. The atmosphere is wonderful, professional, friendly and very clean. The front desk receptionists are very polite and they make you feel comfortable. The dental assistants & hygienist are awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. They advise you step by step before they do any work on your teeth. (All this is important once you have had a bad experience) Dr. Gurrinder Atwal was amazing. I am one to notice everything once I am in the dental chair. He made me feel so at ease and comfortable. He mentioned things about my teeth and smile that other dentists failed to point out. My first visit took about 2 hours but it was well worth it. They took teeth impressions, xrays, photos and cleaned my teeth. Dr Gurrinder Atwal took the time to explain a plan for my upcoming dental work. This Dental office has great customer service and is a One Stop Shop.. My whole family has been going to a dentist office which was a little far from home. I never realized they were not in my network even though insurance will pay them. I always paid a bunch out of pocket for simple services. When they estimated $900 for 2 fillings and 2 quadrants deep cleaning. I knew it was time for a new dentist. In my search I found Comfort Dental Care. I wanted to know how much it would be for basic services and I was informed that they were in network with my insurance which means more savings for me. I was offered a consultation with an early morning appointment which was quite convenient for me. I showed up for my appointment and was pleasantly surprised with the warmth and friendliness of the office. I didn't feel it was my first time visiting them. Felt very welcomed. I was offered my favortite channel on tv and also offered water personally which was sweet. Dr Porwal was gentle and friendly. She went over all the X Rays and took the time to explain her findings. I always knew I was a grinder but never realized how much damage it was doing to my teeth untill she showed me pictures on the tv screen. She explained her recommendations. I got my fills done at the next appointment. It was covered at 80% and I had to pay very little out of pocket. She was great with the shots and I didn't feel the procedure itself. I've been coming to comfort dental for about 7 years now, from ages 13-20 and I can honestly say I'd never even think about going anywhere else. I've had cavities filled and plenty of cleanings done here, but most recently I had four wisdom teeth taken out. I was extremely nervous about getting this done but Dr. Porwal and the staff at Comfort Dental helped inform me of all of my options, one of them being oral sedation. Immediately I was on board as I was so scared of being awake for the extraction. Despite how eager I was, they still walked me through the risks and the process/recovery. They also helped me figure out how things would work financially and were extremely patient as I figured out what choices I would make. The sedation worked wonderfully, as I remember up until I put the light blocking shades on to protect my eyes from the light, and then I was home! I didn't have to endure the procedure, just had to do my at home care which was extremely easy and comfortable with the detailed care sheets and medication Comfort Dental supplied me with. Dr. Porwal at Comfort Dental did an amazing job removing my wisdom teeth just as she does an amazing job on all of my other dental work. I cannot recommend Comfort Dental enough! read more

I just wrote a great review for the best Dentist I have ever been to, and when done I lost it all because I had to join yelp. Anyway here I go again, years ago I wanted to checkout implants. The only place to go to was Clear Choice, received a lot of great information, however before I could leave I knew I could never afford the price. So I put it on the far back burner... At the end of this past month I decided to sell my house.. However as soon as I did, the implants flew right back into my list of wants and must haves. I started looking around again, only this time I hit the Jack pot.... Comfort Dental Care, the home of Dr. Raging Porwal, so she is the absolutely the Best dentist... I don't really do well with dentist, but she is truly Great, the Queen of all Queen's... And her staff is top of the line as well, oh guess what the bottom of it all was the cheapest I could find.....Any Where..Not Kidding.. This is a great dental office. Let me tell you Dr Porwal really cares about her patients and recommend what is best for them. So anyways my dentist was out of town so I came to Comfort Dental Care as an emergency visit for a tooth ache. Dr Porwal after doing an exam recommended I see an endodontist for a possible RCT treatment and asked me to do a crown after RCT treatment. I did do the root canal treatment but then went to see my original dentist who said crown is not needed we can just fill it. I was happy about it. Lo behold 2 months later it cracked in half. I was in tears thinking about Dr Porwal's recommendation of doing a crown which would have prevented me loosing my tooth after doing a RCT which all went in waste. I went right back to Dr Porwal and trust all her judgement now. She is the one that did the implant on that lost tooth. I recommend this office to all my friends. You can tell by visiting office that everyone here love what they are doing and want to provide great service. read more

Dr Porwal did a great job on an implant to replace a tooth broken while I was eating a Kind protein bar. I was able to get in very quickly and the implant turned out very well. Although Dr Porwal and her staff were quite thorough, professional and friendly, there was some considerable delay before finalizing the process due to the lab who built the tooth. It had to be returned to them three times for quality reasons before Dr Porwal would install it.. Even though it was inconvenient for us all, this reflects Dr Porwal's commitment to providing quality dental care. She worked to accommodate my needs and schedule during this time to minimize the inconvenience and I respect her professionalism and cooperation. I went back on the 24th for the extraction. I wasn't shaking like the first time! Everything went extremely well, and the gum area where the bad tooth was healed nicely within a week. Again, I can strongly recommend you give Comfort Dental Care a try. Located right off Highway 4, they can be easily found near the UPS store and the big Safeway. There is plenty of parking, too. They use modern equipment and what impressed me - each set of instruments comes in a sealed package - sterilized and protected just for you. They will give you an appointment as soon as possible, even in the evening or on Saturday. They do all kinds of procedures - including, but not limited to implants and so on. They will be working on my mouth again because I trust the Comfort Dental Care team. read more

Finally found a dentist who knows her stuff. Dr Porwal is thorough and explains in detail what is going on and what needs to be done. She did recommend getting a filling redone since it was starting to decay which I decided to postpone. Well as luck had me, it did start to hurt really bad one evening. I called in late in the evening and was surprised that someone answered the phone and was able to get me in next morning and get the work done. I must add like some others have mentioned she is very good with needles and I didn't feel it at all. or may be since my tooth was hurting bad so I didn't feel. haha. Just Kidding. I had a bad experience at another dentist years ago and was scared to even go to another dentist until this one I am glad we found this dentist they are great, very patient with you and won't do anything you don't want them to do, if you need them to take a break for a few minutes they will do that for you I felt so at ease in the chair. All the staff are great and make you feel at ease. I still have lots of dental work to be done and I don't mind going now to get it all done and once it is all done I will be going to the dentist every 6 months to get check ups read more

Wow- Great customer service, super nice and professional! Better dentist than I had in Brentwood. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly. If you ever have a question they will give or find you the answer. If you need a special procedure (that maybe they can't do) you can be sure they'll recommend/ refer you to another great dentist. They did for me for one of my wisdom tooth's and they weren't kidding that the specialist was great! I had a great experience with Dr Porwal. I needed a tooth extracted and implant placed. The entire process, from consultation to the implant placement and final tooth placement was seamless. Dr. Porwal explained every step in the consultation and set realistic expectations for me. She did extraction, bone grafting (since I had some bone loss), and the placement of the implant all in one visit. After a few months of healing, my crown was placed, and it looks and feels exactly like a real tooth! I highly recommend Dr Porwal! read more

This has been a life-changing experience. How do I even start? I have had struggled with missing teeth for years and after researching, going through many options, I decided to go with the All on 4 procedure. Dr. Porwal is excellent ! I called because I had a resin veneer break and my doctor was in Florida , so I needed a temporary composite tooth she gave me appointment next day which was so nice of her! Found this office on my insurance provider website. Called for an appointment and the office didn't disappoint. They were able to squeeze me in to check the toothache I was experiencing. The office is pretty nice. Nice and cozy reception area. Dr Porwal is very nice and knowledgeable and provided solutions for my situation. I had an emergency and was promptly able to be accommodated by Comfort Dental Care. I found the office very pleasing. Everyone is helpful and friendly. I needed an extraction and Dr Porwal was able to take care of it in between her patients same day. Immediately I felt relieved of pain and in 2 days I was back to my normal routine. I had less pain than I've felt with other extractions. They were able to book me pretty quickly for some follow up treatment. Great experience! read more

I just can't say enough great things about Comfort Dental, Dr. Porwal and their entire staff. Dr. Porwal just completed two implants for me. She's a perfectionist and the results were amazing. Finally a dentist that cares! I couldn't recommend Dr Porwal more. She has a nice and caring office. They do pretty much every thing. The thing I like best about the office is that they all care about the patient's well being. I knew my mouth has few issues which I have been told about in past. I came to Brentwood Family Dental because they have evening hours, which is very convenient for working professionals. So far I have had x-rays, a cleaning, and two separate filling appointments (each appointment was for multiple fillings in a a different side of the mouth). The decor here is incredible and perplexing - the carpet has a textured swirl pattern and the glass doors/walls use varying levels of thickness to create a design. I could spend hours touching the floor or the walls, getting lost in the patterns. I felt almost sad that my appointments are always on time because I don't have enough time to fully appreciate the aesthetics! But it's probably a good thing for everyone else that this place sticks to their schedules so well. Everyone who works here is super friendly. Reception was making my sides burst telling me all these different dentist-related jokes and it was honestly such a good introduction into the office. The dental technicians / hygienists asked questions about me and made sure I was well-informed as well as comfortable during all of the procedures. The dentist had me fill out a survey about my anxiety / fear level towards dental work and the first thing they did was talk through any concerns I might have and try to alleviate any consternation by giving me some reassurance. I have a double bite (my jaw has a natural defect where it can hinge forward or backwards depending on how I bite down) so one of the fillings they did was hitting incorrectly after the anesthesia wore off. It was very painful for a couple weeks, but they had me come back two times to bite down on the carbon contact paper and readjust the filling by grinding it down. They did not charge me extra and they were very concerned with making sure I had a good result that was comfortable. I was definitely frustrated by the pain, but I appreciated their level of effort in making sure it was resolved properly. They were able to fix that issue quickly, which was great because I was going out of town for my wedding and I absolutely didn't want to have jaw/tooth pain for that! Overall I've been very satisfied and will be coming back for future cleanings and dental work.
