Warning: If you go to Delta Dental beware of a stand in dentist who worked on what she said was a small cavity. After I went home the tooth was sensative to hot and cold and I never had that even with a small cavity. Now after she worked on me, I went back complaining of pain on said tooth. First off, the stand in dentist gave me some numbing on a cotton swab for a few seconds turned around and before the area went Numb she was stabbing me with the needle. Then went on to work on the tooth as I flinched and said it hurt when she was drilling. I went back after a couple days and told them I did not want her touching me again. They gave me another dentist and I told him I now have pain where I never had pain in that tooth. He looked at it and is sending me to a specialist. Going to cost me a little over $900.00 buck and my insurance covers the rest of over a thousand bucks. I feel she messed up and drilled to deep now I have to pay for her mistake WTF If you think I am getting ripped of please call them at 925-625-2616 they are at 2817 Main St. Oakley Ca. Extra careful from this dental. If I have less than 1 star, I will give them. honesty is not near to them., they just want your money. I have two insurance. One from my work and another one from my wife works. My insurance not under their network but the insurance I have from my wife covers under there network. I make my appointment and explained that time. So I took day off from work. I went there, they told me $128 visits fee. I asked I have two insurance one under network and another one out of network. She told me yes but we have charge you $128, like you don't have insurance so you can talk with your insurance not us. I told her just forget my insurance out of the network, use my network insurance. So she told me my dr. Wont allowed me. Any time you are going to do any treatment from us you have deal with insurance. I didn't get why they are not using my network insurance why they use outside of the network. Her answer was we have use your insurance not covered by network. I told thanks I found out before I spent money. $128 is nothing but honesty is the matter. For example, the assistant took an impression and couldn't get it out of my mouth. I almost fell out of the chair as she pulled and pulled on the impression. It never came out. The only thing I regret is not finding this lace sooner. I have an issue with dentist (lots of trauma from the 80's) so I didn't go. Now that I have a 10yr old son who I take, he asked me why I don't go . Yesterday (Monday) we went for a cleaning. Everything went smooth till I was told that 4 fillings I got when I was a kid were now getting soft and the doctor recommended getting them redone. When you walk into the building, you are greeted by welcoming staff. Alejandro and Ana are extremely polite and helpful. They both provided positive energy every time I came in and answered multiple questions I had. The ambience of the space was bright and comforting. They have big windows surrounding the waiting room paired with a comfortable sectional and individual seats. If you get thirsty, they do have a Keurig stacked with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for the little ones. Each patient room was nice and clean. There are 1-2 tv's in each room and one of them being on the ceiling to watch while you are getting work done. This place is equipped with newer technology, and I was surprised when I first came. Thinking about how some offices still use old technology still amazes me. With portable devices and more sufficient data makes the experience more educational. Over 10 years ago, I had a baby tooth that had chipped and needed repair. Dr. Ton capped it for me and fixed it for me during an emergency. They got me in fast for the time that I was home visiting during the holidays. I believe 13 years later, I need work done on the same tooth. This time around I chose to do an implant. The process was easy and seamless. I live 1.5 hours away but trust Dr. Ton's work enough to travel this far for work done. Although the process for an implant is longer than what I wanted, I know taking these recommendations and precautions from staff would have a longer lasting tooth. During the process of my implant, I felt a small pinching bone spur that was so irritating. I had called and asked for a checkup, and they fitted me in quickly to look at it. After a small procedure to fix my issue, my irritation was suppressed and have not felt anything since. In between appointments, I had to catch up on some cleaning and was scheduled with Sarah. Sarah is awesome, she makes comfortable conversation and shares what she enjoys, family. I had asked for a professional second opinion on my wisdom teeth and she provided me with an educational answer. Although sometimes when you try to respond to her answers, I still find it hard to not bite fingers in the process. I would highly recommend her work to anyone. She is very gentle with the tools and makes the experience calming. I will get my implant put in tomorrow and I am sure it will be another smooth experience. read more

Not only did they insist that I stay in pain until mid February maybe even March until they can do the procedure, but they once again gave me a prescription for a medication (Which they have been told time and time again) does not work for me. So now I have to stay in UNBEARABLE pain from the tooth that I broke until they have time to fix it and in the meantime I can't take anything for the pain because they won't prescribe it. I am removing a star as they have started to send threatening text messages claiming they will cancel or move appointment times on their own. They already have a no show fee established so it seems inappropriate to also harass and threaten about such things. Additionally, they have an online submission in their emails that says you can send them a message to cancel or reschedule. I have used that feature to try and reschedule an appointment and supposedly doesn't work and they are aware but do not advise because I called to reschedule and they had no idea I needed to reschedule and didn't care I had messaged them. Doctor Ton And his staff originally quoted me 1500 to pull teeth and build denture I made arrangements to cover that amount through Care Credit and went for it. When I dis they discovered that they mis qouted me and the cost was now twice that much, made arrangements for payments on balance. Dropped off payment paperwork. Two weeks after receiving denture it came apart. When I returned for repair they refused to fix until they were paid in full. Not showing any regard for what they had agreed too Twice in the course of this treatment there price and rules changed. Dr Ton shows no integrity to his clients and did not back his work. I found this place through Yelp. I gave Autumn Lake Dental a call to make an appointment to get my teeth cleaned and also to check out a chip on my tooth and they took me in the next day. I drove about 15 minutes to the office. (I chose this place because they were affordable, a lot of good reviews, and close to home.) There was a lot of parking outside and in the inside was a very nice desk receptionist name Ana. She was very polite and friendly. I sat down for about 10 minutes and the dentist came and got me from the lobby. Got sat down, they did an initial exam on me which was for free and checked on my chipped tooth. Turns out, I had a cavity on my wisdom tooth. They took pictures of each of my tooth with this super tiny telescope looking tool and showed me everything that needed to be done to my teeth. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the end result of my cleaning. Kitty, I think that was her name was the gal who cleaned my teeth and got the tartar out of the back of my teeth and also cleaned around my braces. It was very comfortable. She didn't do it in a rush and took her time, she also answered most of my concerns and questions about my teeth. She was also through and gentle cleaning my teeth. She then called in Dr. Ton. He educated me about my options for my cavity. He was very knowledgeable and very personable. I loved all the interactions with the staff because they truly care about their patients. I honestly enjoyed the whole experience at the dentist plus they have TV's for you to watch while you get your teeth cleaned even when you're laying down which impressed me as well. This was on top of finding out my appointment was canceled when I arrived and that a stranger had been linked to our account. I was told they would do something to compensate for the error and confusion, and during the follow-up visit, when we expressed what happened to Dr. Ton, he very heartlessly said, "I'm sorry you feel that way and understand if you'd like to go somewhere else." We were shocked at how nonchalantly he said that. He was willing to lose 2 patients over $100 or less he could have waived for the layers of issues. We would have even accepted something creative towards a future service, something to show he cared about us staying. First of all let me explain why I give them a 5 star... I had a bad infection and left side of my face was swollen. Over a month ago western dental saw me and put me on antibiotics, then scheduled me with "( THEIR SO CALLED ORAL SURGEON) ". I had to wait 3 weeks for the appointment cause their oral surgeon only came in once a month. So my appointment came and they only put oral gel in my mouth and started pulling, pushing on my tooth and it hurt like crazy. He then begins to say I cannot treat you because im not a real oral surgeon. So they give me a referral and kick me to the curb. So everywhere was booked till April. Autumn lake dental took me in right away. Other places charge up to 100$ just for exam and x-rays. Not Autumn 1$ . Beings I have medical and they don't take medical this was all coming out of my pocket. They were very kind and considerate, knowledgeable took care of me. They wouldn't touch me while my face was still swollen, but got me in 5 days later for the extraction. I'm sitting here now just got it pulled , and they did an awesome job, they made sure that I wasn't in any pain, and my tooth has been swollen and very infected, it took about 30 mins in total to get me all numbed up.. and only took about 10 mins to actually pull the tooth.. gave me meds in syringes,gazz and gave me a quiz after I was done to make sure I knew what to do... I highly recommend them and I'll be coming back every time. I'd rather pay their low cost of 390$ rather then use my medical insurance for someone that just wants to make extra money, don't give a shit about my health, and kicks me to the curb when I'm hurting . I'm a "special" dental patient, so keep that in mind with my rating. I'm very anxious, have past dental issues that make me even more anxious. So honestly their staff and services deserve a *****, however, their accounting and prepayment policies, make me knock them down to ***. I never leave there with a full understanding of why i'm paying so much out of pocket. Like thousands of dollars out of pocket stuff. I wish they were more inclined to work with the patient, on what they can afford and not push their CREDIT line so strongly. They were not open to doing part of the services now and part later, when my insurance would have renewed, meaning less out of pocket for me. They held strong to "everything needs to be done at one time". Also prepaying for services. I dont understand why they dont charge at time of service. I've had two instances now, that I prepaid on their credit terms, and then not received services. So i'm getting a bill for work i have not even received yet, and had to dispute it with the credit company. My latest is prepaying for services they referred me to a different office to perform, and only being told "dont worry we will adjust it when the other office confirms what they charged your insurance"? Like thats not helpful but ok, since i'm in so much pain i dont want to argue with you. My comfort was foremost and I was given a down to earth evaluation and plan moving forward. Dr. Ton was amazing and I felt I was being treated like family. Little did I know, there was no need for that because they made it completely PAINLESS and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The hardest part for me when it comes to dental work is the numbing shots they give you, I hate feeling that needle. But when I say PAINLESS, I mean; when they were done numbing me, that's when I learned that they had even started. I'm not going to tell you how they make it painless because then it might not work out for you, but trust me, it's awesome. I don't know why other dentist don't practice that trick! Ana and Angela (Dr. Ton's staff) are extremely friendly, and helped put some calm to my dentist anxiety. Everyone is professional and knowledgeable. I was amazed by the advanced dental equipment and plush patient rooms (there are televisions hanging from the ceiling for viewing when you are reclined in the chair). Dr. Ton also uses a combination of his DSLR and a mirror, in order to provide his patient's with high definition images of their teeth anatomy. I went to Autumn Lake Dental for annual clean up, I be told I need to fix few cavity and need to make another appointment and pay another few hundreds to fix the cavity. Later my implant fall down, I need to go to an implant dentist, because not every dentist do implant. During social chatting, I told the new dentist, I had cavity and need to fix it very soon. He checked my X-ray and my mouth, he told me I did not have any cavity, I did not need to fix any. I was shocked to learn that. Normally I trust my primary dentist and will not go for second opinion, insurance did not cover second opinion visit. I've waited a few weeks to write this review. Let me start off by saying I have anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I shake, cry, and feel sick. I recently broke a tooth and was afraid of going to get it fixed. While looking for a dentist that can handle my anxiety I came across Autumn Lake Dental. I finally made the phone call to the office to get seen and who ever answered the phone was so calming and helpful. She really helped me feel like this might be the place to go. So I made the appointment to get my mouth checked out and I can honestly say they are the greatest. Walking in I was already shaking and ready to cry but the staff was great. They talked in calm friendly voices and I started to feel relaxed. We came up with a game plan of what we were going to do with my teeth and we planned the next visit. Got my tooth pulled and it was the best experience ever. No pain. I love the fact that when you walk in they know who you are and greeted with a lovely hello. Had a horrible experience at this establishment. I went in on Friday for an emergency visit , I had a cracked molar and exposed nerve. Unfortunately, I had just had eye surgery on Monday, so the dentist said that I would have to wait 2 weeks to get the needed root canal. However, in the meantime she prescribed Amoxicillin and told me to take Tylenol for the pain. I explained that I was already taking Tylenol and Aleve and the pain was still bothering me. She said to give the antibiotics a chance to work. Over the weekend I had to take over the recommended dosage of both Tylenol and Aleve to manage the pain. On Monday I called my primary physician of 30 years because my stomach was starting to bother me due to taking a lot of pills. He told me to contact the dentist to get a prescription for pain medication to make me more comfortable until I could get the root canal. I contacted the dentist and asked for a prescription, I was denied and was told to continue to take the Tylenol. Really, I am in pain and received no compassion from this dentistry. Do they think that all black people are drug addicts? If I was a white woman in this same situation would I have been treated differently? Why do they take your picture to go in your file? I live in San Francisco and was in the town of Oakley to visit my best friend. I phoned in the day before and the nice receptionist promptly scheduled an appointment for mid-afternoon on a Saturday to take care of some dental work I've been putting off. Oops. Here's what I remember: The injection was incredibly comfortable. You wouldn't believe me if I told you, but I totally didn't feel any discomfort at all! I can't quite describe it exactly, but Dr. Ton used some sort of futuristic high-tech vibrating device to administer this specially formulated pain suppressing medication. I don't recall a time where the dentist and his compassionate staff went as above and beyond to ensure such a high level of patient comfort. I'm starting to think Dr. Ton is secretly some sort of magician. During my procedure, I was given the choice of watching my favorite movie, "Anchorman" from the gorgeous flat-screen built into the ceiling and it almost felt like like I wasn't even at the dentist's office. #teleportationdevice #AMC? Because I had a lengthy procedure, he gave me small breaks in between and I had the opportunity to make small talk with his professional (but oh so cute) office staff. Everyone was not only efficient but also friendly and conversant.
