Had a teeth cleaning..the wait was longer than the cleaning. =/ Not sure if it was a very thorough cleaning or if my teeth are just really clean...which i doubt since i rarely floss! LOL Zack the dentist was nice, the assistant...or hygienist?? worked way too fast. For my teeth cleaning she flossed first, then polished (this part was really rushed) , and the dentist came into clean with a tool that lasted for about 5 minutes. 28 teeth to clean in under 5 minutes??? I have big teeth, and I know I got buildup to scrape off on my back molars cuz I get lazy. I've had my teeth cleaned before and its never this fast. Not transparent with billing and lack of communication by Dr Severance and billing personnel. I went to this office expecting a regular dental cleaning. I was never told before or during the appointment that I was receiving a periodontal cleaning or that it could result in an additional out-of-pocket charge. After the appointment, I was charged $75. I contacted my health insurance and confirmed that I have coverage for two dental cleanings per year and that this dentist is in-network. I then contacted the office to find out why I was being charged. I spoke with Maria in billing, who told me that the reason for the $75 charge was because I had a deep cleaning last year and Dr. Severance determined that today's cleaning was a periodontal cleaning. My concern is that Dr. Severance never explained this to me. Nobody told me that my cleaning was being classified differently, why it was medically necessary, or that I would have an additional $75 charge. Had I been told beforehand that I was not receiving a standard cleaning and that there would be an additional cost, I could have asked questions, contacted my insurance, and made an informed decision before the procedure was performed. What makes this particularly frustrating is that the cleaning itself did not seem any different from a regular cleaning. I'm now having to spend my own time contacting the dental office and Cigna to figure out why I was charged for a service I was never informed I was receiving. I understand that insurance coverage and dental treatment can be complicated, and I understand that a dentist may determine that periodontal maintenance is appropriate. What I don't understand is why I wasn't informed before the procedure and given the opportunity to understand the treatment and potential cost. I would strongly recommend asking exactly what procedure is being performed and what your expected out-of-pocket cost will be before agreeing to a cleaning at this office. read more

Worst dentist ever. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I've been going here since I was a teenager and I'm unsure if they're anti black but all of my family that comes here has a bad experience. I had a deep cleaning & the ones doing it had no sense of empathy. Just sticking me with the needle to numb me and missing the spot. TWICE!! Hurt like hell! Every time I express the pain they're causing, it's overlooked. They rush through everyone & they must get a kick out of putting patients in pain and moving on to the next. I'm no longer numb from the deep cleaning but the spot he poked me really hard to the point of me jumping out of my chair, hurts really bad! Get ready for that lawsuit! If you guys really care about customer care, it would show. But clearly you all are just there for the money and not for consistent clientele. You all take advantage of people on Medicaid and I will take my family to a better dentist even if it's further away. It's a shame that the dentists in our own neighborhood are not safe. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Severance for years now. He has done everything from teeth cleanings, fillings, root canals, extractions and implants. He does an outstanding job, explaining every step to make me feel comfortable. The office is clean, and the staff is very knowledgeable, and caring. I brought my daughter for an appointment recently and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. When we arrived, there was no receptionist available, and it took 5-10 minutes before anyone came out to check the clipboard. This felt unwelcoming and confusing. I mentioned that we were referred by another dental office, but it seemed to be completely disregarded. When my daughter's name was finally called about 20 minutes later, the dental assistant, Lisset, walked ahead of us without any greeting or introduction, she just pointed to a chair and told my daughter to sit down, which felt very cold and impersonal. During the appointment, there was awkward silence as Lisset was focused on the computer and didn't engage with us. I informed her that previous x-rays and pictures had already been sent over as she rolled her eyes and asked if I had let the front desk know. I told her that I had informed them but again was disregarded, the doctor came in and insisted on new ones. Lisset was getting ready to take new x-rays, Lisset abruptly told me to leave without any courtesy or explanation. Just said "Get out" pointing her finger at the wall. When I tried to ask if I had done something wrong, she ignored me. As I was leaving, I noticed the dental assistants gathered in a room, slouched in chairs and on their phones, which gave off an unprofessional vibe. I also had to ask for Lisset's name at the front desk as I was leaving. Overall, the lack of communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy made this a very unpleasant visit. I will not be returning and have requested a referral elsewhere. read more

Dr. Severance did an implant for me. I was very nervous but he made me feel comfortable and it was painless. He showed me what he was doing and explained everything as he went. The office staff was kind and prompt. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

I am only giving one star due to the fact they are friendly. But I had some fillings done back in August and I am still having issues with them. Hurts when I bite down on any type of food. I still have sensitivity at the site they did the filling. I have been back multiple times but Dr. Brimhall still does not see anything wrong; and just keeps polishing them down. I think the filling were done incorrectly but I will just keep going back to them until it is fixed or until my benefits reset so I can find a new dentist. read more

I came in to comfort dental in excruciating pain!!! No joke ! But I left out of there with less pain then I was in. The staff was very friendly but I do wish the wait time was a little better! Doctors and assistants are great they know what they're doing and come to solutions that are satisfying like saving my tooth and doing a root canal. Thank you !!! Dr Rowan and ALL the wonderful staff, assistants and dentists here not only took care of the pain I was having, suddenly and unexpectedly, dental wise, but they also saved my vacation in the bargain. During a very long RV trip out here from the east, I developed terrible tooth/teeth pain and happened to be in Denver for one day between next destination. I called Comfort Dental and they got me in to see Dr. Rowan and his team within hours. I was treated with kindness really listened to. More, I left with just about no pain, a fix that will allow me to finish our trip in comfort and a great plan to solve my issue once I get home. Dr. Rowan not only called me the next day to see how I was doing, but he also offered to call my dentist back in ME and to send all the records and films to us both. Really wonderful people at this practice who obviously care about their patients. If you are in Denver and you need a dentist urgently like I did, or if you live in Denver and are looking for a terrific practice, I strongly recommend this office. read more

They have this Machine that scans your teeth to make crowns. it was pretty neat to see what my teeth look like, after they finished scanning them. super efficient. The front staff also taught me a lot about my insurance that I didn't know. My children also go here and they are so kind and understandlong when my daughter had an anxiety attack. They were so so patient with her. Have not found a better dentists in years. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! I scheduled an appointment at 10:30 am, came around 10:10 am to fill out the paper work when a lady at the front desk told me that she does not have me on the schedule. I said okay maybe it's the wrong place (but then looking through my emails it was not i had an appointment there that day that time) I was okay and we're gonna leave when the girl told me that they still can see me right now. So I sat down and become to wait. I saw people coming after me getting taken care of, so exactly at 11:30 am I came to the desk and asked how long would it take approximately for my turn and she told me that they can't see me. I asked why? She said that they had cancellations and then they got booked again (LIKE REALLY?) and she apologized for the girl who told me that I can be seen. 3 people working the reception and none could come to me and tell me that I won't be seen? I waited like an idiot, but that's not the worst. I waisted my time and felt so disrespected, because if I wouldn't come to ask I would not know that they won't see me. I called the manager and of course was told "oh Im so sorry for that" but what is it gonna do? I left the office on tears, frustrated and disappointed. But at the same time im glad this happened at my first visit, I wouldn't want to go through this every single appointment (I have at least 8 fillings + braces to be done) so gonna start looking for some place else and suggest to you the same. read more

They told me that since I had no infection showing up on the X-ray, I didn't have an infection and wasn't in pain. Refused to prescribe me even one pain med since I am already in pain management for my knee. Spoiler alert, if that had been working, I would not have asked. Referred me to another practice which would have taken me 2 weeks to get an appointment. Luckily I was able to go to K2 Dentistry and get a root canal the same day. 2 of the 3 nerves in the tooth were dead and it was definitely infected. The one good thing about the visit to Comfort Dental is that they did prescribe me an antibiotic, which I took and continued to take throughout the course of the infection. read more

It's a decent looking dental facility but at the very end of the transaction, we were charged $700 because they found problems with my mothers teeth. When we realized the bill was tremendously large, my mother and I knew the facility was heavily flawed. Other dental companies usually charge $100 for the teeth cleaning and nothing more, but beware that comfort dental charges $20 more just to make an appointment! We looked around and we decided to change to another dental facility called Dentistry and they did in fact not charge us $700! In fact, for $250, they fixed my mother's cavity problems and cover the cost with insurance. But with Comfort Dental, Even with insurance, they still made this price the final, grand total. It sounds like a shady rip off, but hey? Maybe you're paying for the confidence of time and convenience. read more

They quickly rushed me through the appointment and did not do a through cleaning . I left wondering if they hired this dentist off craiglist with no experience?
