We had many issues with this company that helped in building our home many years ago. One of their technicians came out when our heating broke down, supposedly fixed it and yet turned a capacitor upside down so it would cause problems later. A friend of ours who knew about heating a/c systems, caught the issue and we got a refund from Comfort Flow for that visit. We are now in need of a whole new system and the current heating a/c company we are using (not Comfort Flow), has noted the original wiring was done incorrectly. Our system was set up to fail as Comfort Flow used wiring for a smaller system than what they gave us. Looks like they were hoping for more paid visits from us as customers. I hate to say it, but they do not have a good track record with us and now I see our original set-up was designed to have issues. Stay far away from this company. read more

From salesman/explainer Kyle, to electrician Jordan, to Tyler who hooked up the gas, to the back office coordinator Julie, to the rest of the crew, we were so impressed. Just had our annual maintenance visit by Joe (no charge), and the gen is in perfect working order. (a number of years ago, we had Comfort Flow install a furnace for us.....worked great for the whole time we lived there, and the installation was the same quality as mentioned above.) Comfort Flow did a great job installing my min-split ductless heat pump and air handler units in Nov. 2024. The sales rep was very impressive - drawing from his 20+ years experience with Comfort Flow in different roles, such as installation, before sales. This allowed him to make informed recommendations. They were on time, courteous and completed installation of my single unit in less than a day. They went over and beyond the standard level of service at no extra cost when I experienced a possible fallout from the installation when my hot water heater began to fail right after the heat pump installation. After a couple of days without water and my own troubleshooting the hot water heater and breaker box, they sent an electrician to diagnose and correct the issue, despite the small possibility the breaker would fail anyway, unrelated to the changes they made in the panel. It turned out to be an older breaker and bad wiring which they replaced. I would certainly recommend Comfort Flow Heating and Air Conditioning. read more

Initially we were struggling to find a company who works on ground source heat pumps, aka, geothermal. They do work on such a system as ours so it was an easy call. They were very responsive and checked things out. made recommendations and then offered a bid. We did get a second opinion and their work would have meant tearing out a wall to fit the compressor they used. So, we used Comfort Flow. They were professional, knowledgeable and hard workers. The job was very complex requiring electricians, plumbers and system skills and knowledge. This messy situation also occurred during late fall and because of delayed transport we had no heat. They supplied us with great space heaters. Overall, it was a complicated Job well done. Second time with them, we needed a ductless heater/air conditioner for our VRBO. Their salesman came, checked the space, made a recommendation and - voila! The job was done and completed in a day. The results are just dandy! I don't often write reviews, but for the second time in 12 months, Comfort Flow has provided excellent service. The first time our AC went out during the hottest part of 2024, within a day, we were back up and cool. After our heat went out over this weekend, a quick call to them this morning was all it took for a tech to come the same day. Jake was quickly able to diagnose and fix the problem and answered all my (possibly stupid) questions with positivity and clarity. This is the second time Brock Pinney came out to my house to help me ensure that I am getting the most out of my system. This time he showed me how dirty my filter was and discussed that I might want to change it out more often, as well as helping me understand how to set my thermostat to get the best out of the heat and a/c without going broke. He also instructed me on how best to utilize the overhead fan (I had it going the wrong way) and a few other key tips that I really appreciated. Brock is thorough, super polite and unfailingly helpful. When he comes out I know the work will be excellent and I am likely to learn something new. Brock knows his stuff and always leaves my house better than he found it. Energy is expensive. That's not Comfort's fault. I appreciate knowing what I can do to maximize what I use. I called Comfort Flow Heating to help with a cooling vent that was getting no air. They responded within a few days, and the rep was very polite, but said that he couldn't figure out the issue that he or his boss would call me the next working day (Monday). I paid him $250, and now 2+ weeks later I've heard nothing further. I still have the problem, and no idea what to do next. I think there should be a way to run a scope through the vent to look for a disconnect. In any case, I would hope for better follow through with our problem. The heat pump went out, right in the middle of a heat wave, of course. after speaking to neighbors, the one constant was that with the ones who are in the trades, or have family that are, everyone said "Comfort Flow". so, I called, and was told it could be a couple of weeks, but they could put me on a call list. I called the number on the thermostat, when we bought the house in 2016, after moving back to Eugene...from Spokane and the system was different. I wanted to have maintenance done and it was the colder January Oregon day! it turned out to be Comfort Flow. We stayed with them because of excellent service...As I would say the front of the house and the back of the house work together! that's greeting and service with positive customer service. I think comfort flow installed the system when the original place was built! The techs have been awesome and done preventive maintenance work...and came out in Winter on an emergency call and didn't charge triple time and got it running the same day, we were lucky enough to have the emergency heat system, where it doesn't use outside unit... And I learned in my 50s to turn off the outside unit during a freeze from the receptionist, when I had called in needing help. And if they don't know the answer, they've transferred me to somebody to talk to you! The pre-summer work (spring COVID) Tiffany took the time to let my oldest granddaughter watch her work and then showed her the inside of the work van, Maddie loves that kind of stuff...I asked Tiffany if she'd let her just look inside? she loves all work trucks police cars and uniforms! She's 5yrs old, and always has! Thanks again! So judge for yourself. We asked for a proposal from Comfort Flow for a full home AC system replacement. I don't know much about these things, but the the price seemed quite high. There was not much in the way of respectful explanation. When I called their office for more information, the folks at Comfort Flow were not helpful (rather arrogant and dismissive, actually). I obtained a competitive bid for superior (higher SEER) equipment by the same manufacturer. The competitive bid was $5000 less. That's a lot. And scary. The other company did the job and were brilliant - courteous, responsive and prompt. The new equipment is running smoothly, too. read more

Comfort Flow installed a ductless heating & A/C unit at our apartment. They did a great job and it was a herculean task as they had to climb around in the attic, crawl around in the cramped space under the building & cut through the concrete siding in several places. They also had to patch into the circuit box to hook up the power. The unit has two parts, one standing unit outside that sits on a cement slab, and the part that is inside the home that actually delivers both the heat and the A/C. They had a team of about 5 or 6 members and they worked fast & hard from 9am until almost 4pm and they completed the task. I was very impressed and the unit works like a charm! Chose Comfort Flow Heating based on reviews but I had different experience. They charge$165 for service call and I spent $740(parts and labor) of supposed broken part and yet the same diagnostic code lit up and I still have the same problem occuring as before their service call. So I felt they shouldnt have charged more for coming back to fix original issue and they still charged me a further diagnostic charge for the follow up visit. So after spending $1000 dollars my HVAC system has exactly the same problem and diagnostic code flashing so I do feel I would re-use them based on this experience. read more

So far, so good! I called to get a quote, and a year later I was finally ready to have my new gas furnace installed. They still had my paperwork, and were able to get me on the calendar pretty quickly. The installers were tidy and polite, and consulted with me about important issues. They did an excellent job. I had to call and wait for a final "run through" with the person who gave me my initial quote. The wait wasn't a bad thing; my furnace was working fine and I didn't need any help setting up my thermostat. During the run through, I got directions for how to clean my filters and what to do for my ongoing maintenance. I have had my furnace for almost three months, and it's lovely. I'll update my review if anything changes, but so far, I'm really happy. read more

This company's business model seems totally bogus.. 2 stars because they answer their phones and have very tidy, personable maintenance techs. After that shout out, we go straight to bitter complaints: Background- we have a 3 year old heating/ac system installed by them in 2015 by previous owners. We moved in 2 months ago & made a service apt bc the previous owners had them on contract: 1) Unlike other companies we've used in other places (like MA where you really need a furnace) their $120 "annual maintenance" is glorified filter cleaning. (not a specialty item). "Maintenance techs" do not service equipment. "Service" requires another appointment- another $90 "diagnosis charge" & $90/hour for repair. This is called double billing in my world. I've had furnaces service for decades and if the tech can't fix a problem- don't bother coming out. Especially at $120 / hour. I was so pissed I called Alpine- who fixed it for $75/hr. And then told me: 2) "Looks like they haven't even cleaned to coils (tape not fresh on the unit) or blown out the pvc shavings from the install.(still visible) By now, my fangs are coming out. The previous owners had signed up for their 2x year "maintenance" & they hadn't even cleaned the coils??? LAME. (although they are obviously onto a highly lucrative income stream.) read more

Comfort Flow did good work. Unfortunately, they are selling an inferior product. Some of the "features" included in the users guide just don't work. We were told by Comfort Flow (after installation, not before) that "we've had a lot of problems with that feature." Timed start and shut off does not work at all. You can't set the heat mode lower than 61 f. (We used to set our radiant heat at 50 when we were away just to keep the pipes from freezing). This is a big problem for the Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump system. I do not recommend it. read more

Had a problem with our central heating and cooling system a year ago. My dad called them to come and fix it and they 1. Never put a filter back in that they took out and closed it up without putting the filter back in (Obviously trying to cover up their shit because they know they fucked up) 2. Left some screws out and 3. plugged the terminal thingy in backwards so our house was HOT AS FUCK in early-mid summer. Not to mention I was pregnant with my son at the time so y'all try imagining how that shit felt. Thankfully, I have an in-law who went to college for this exact thing and he came out and fixed their mess. Lesson learned, we'll just gonna call him up from now on. Absolutely do not use this company. They did not care about leaving my house sitter and animals in a freezing cold house over the weekend, with a problem that they themselves created. I was in Myanmar on a Habitat build in winter when my heating unit failed. They charged $500 to replace the thermostat. in order to get it back up and running, they needed to check the CO2. The guy didn't have the device to check it. So he just left my house. I tried contacting them from Myanmar with no response. Unbelievably, I have a CO2 monitor right next to my unit. My house sitter and animals were freezing. I was able to contact another company on Saturday that came out, checked the CO2, and got the heat going. The only response I ever received from this company was a bill. Please don't use this scamming company ! read more

Great value. Locally owned. Good job. The value you get at Comfort Flow Heating (CFH) is well worth it. I originally hired the company to install gas piping in my attic. I was charged the quoted rate, but the install time exceeded the estimate because the installer did not have a required part on the truck. I was charged for his trip back to headquarters, which didn't make me happy. On the bright side, CFH listened to my complaint and adjusted the invoice with a smile, to my satisfaction. All it took was a quick call to the owner. Easy. Based on their willingness to make things right, this locally owned company earned my loyalty and repeat business. I researched a great number of competitors, and I found CFH to be responsive, trustworthy, organized and customer oriented. Considering these attributes, I awarded CFH a contract to install a Trane hybrid gas/electric heat pump system at my residence. The installation was straight forward, and it proceeded like a ballet. The wrong air handler was delivered, but when this was discovered, a runner fetched the correct unit from stock, and it was here within 30 minutes. Their custom sheet metal work is cut on computer controlled forming machines, and the quality and aesthetics of the installation is unrivaled. Comfort Flow Heating did a great job coordinating the subcontractors, and they wrapped up the job in record time with zero "ick factor". I am thrilled with the Trane product. CFH service techs have returned to my home semiannually for maintenance and cleaning. Each time it was a different technician, but they have all been fastidiously clean, detailed, courteous, and professional. The installed Trane package was properly sized for my home. It's quiet, and it has cut my electric and natural gas costs significantly compared to the old cantankerous system it replaced. read more

We've had Comfort Flow Heating maintain our home's HVAC system for years through their semi-annual maintenance program. For 2 years they warned us of components close to failing in our 17-yr old furnace and AC units. We finally sat down with their staff (Chad) who spent nearly 3 hours at our home discussing our options based on our concerns and questions regarding temp inequalities between our upper and lower levels. Their sales people are salaried so there's no pressure to buy....just a sincere desire to inform and help. Chad did a thorough assessment of our home's size and requirements for an ideal system that would help equalize temperatures and comfort and gave us a detailed report. They rebuilt our venting system, corrected a faulty original so-called 2-zone system, and installed an ultra-efficient Trane furnace, AC system, and HEPA electronic air cleaning system for allergy control. It took 4 full days to install and their staff was friendly, competent, and left a clean work area each day. Chad came on the final day and spent 90 minutes setting up and training us on the wireless app that allows us to control our home's system remotely. Bottom line you get what you pay for...yes, we opted for a more expensive system but absolutely highest quality equipment, system, and construction experience. Home comfort is much improved, as well as my allergies, and I'm sure buyers will appreciate this top system when we sell some day. A very painless, positive experience. From the first visit & very informative & education us. to the other visit and then 2 days later The installer's showed up and had us up and running in half a day. They where very polite and really informative. The two female electricans even found a quicker and faster way to hook us up to the power supply at our house. Comfort Flow installed a new A/C unit for the athletic club where I work out. It's been over a month and they have not been able get the unit working consistently and properly. So the upstairs workout room has been way too hot for exercise, most recently for 6 days straight. I have to drive 8 miles to the club's other facility in order to have a decently cool place to exercise. I can't believe Comfort Flow cannot get a brand new unit working properly after weeks of trying. Over the years I've had bad experiences with Comfort Flow work at both home and place of employment. This latest fiasco simply confirms that I would never again choose them as a contractor or repair service. read more
