McGinley to my rescue! Yesterday I heard a bang and my electric went out. Some lights came back…read moreon but others didn't. I went to the basement to check the circuits and discovered water on the floor around my heater and my new Thermostat also had stopped working. I called McGinley HVAC and spoke to Ryan and he quickly got me on the schedule for the next available technician. In about 45 minutes Charles arrived and immediately got to work on the leak and replacing the thermostat (which got fried from the power surge). My electrician wasn't calling me back so I asked Charles if he or McGinley had any electrician recommendations. He gave me the electrician's name and I called him. Within 15 minutes he was here and he found what was causing the power outage issue and fixed it. Words can't express how grateful I am to McGinley's team for their prompt and efficient service. Their kindness, compassion and outstanding service is appreciated. It is so reassuring to know McGinley is there for me and I highly recommend them!

Bobby was on time and professional. He answered all of my questions and offered information that I didn't even think to ask about. My system is 14 years old but has been maintained well. A LOT of other places will try to upsell you if your equipment is 10+ years old. Not This company. Bobby showed me two items that do need attention, but weren't critical enough to need to be replaced TODAY. I'll be inviting him back to complete the system by the end of the month for sure. After we were told that the replacement part would be $1000 we decided to buy a new one. After a couple of price comparisons, this place knocked every other quote out of the ball park. They offer discounts too for military or first responders. The people that came to replace our heater came on time and did it pretty quickly. They went over everything before they left and also respected our floors by putting a cloth on the surface to prevent denting or dirt from tracking.

They wanted to charge us twice for an estimate that should have been completed during their first visit. The initial diagnosis was left incomplete due to their own oversight, yet they demanded a second fee just to return and finish what they should have done the first time. To make matters worse, after servicing our AC, it began leaking shortly after, and when we contacted them to come back under warranty, they blocked both of our phone numbers--completely cutting off communication instead of standing by their work. Terrible service, poor accountability, and zero professionalism. BEWARE--do not trust this company with your property or your money.

I looked at their website, and saw that they do duct cleaning, and the reasons for doing it. I called on July 3rd and I said I would like to hire them for the service. I gave them the square footage and and overview. They said they could see me on July 5th at 9AM. At 8:59AM a serviceman arrived. He explained what he was going to do and then went about cleaning the ducts. He said there was a moderate amount of dirt, and that he has seen worse. After he cleaned the ducts he vacuumed the unit itself, and then blew a chemical into the ducts that would kill any bacteria that happened to be there. I thought it was good precaution to take. He also showed me a better way to put the filter in the unit. I gave them 5 stars -- only because they didn't have an option for 6 stars. It's great to know there's a company like this out there.
