We sold out all the rooms they had to offer. We even had to share rooms; it was so many of us... This establishment was very accommodating they had cots so that no one had to sleep on the floor. Pet friendly. This is definitely my choice when visiting the area. They owner even came to visit us, because he had a sold out session during this recession. Loving and friendly guy. Incredible high end buffet curated by the Master Chef, Gerard Thompson. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and there were plenty of activities to do across the property. I tried my hand at archery, axe throwing, and lasso (among other things for the first time), and the team there were patient and friendly throughout it all. My accommodations were great, I appreciated little touches like the eye mask and earplugs, and I also enjoyed the food as well. If you want a getaway with family, or a business group, this could be a good option!

Simple and straightforward. The owners were extremely friendly and everything was clean and we had everything we needed. It can be hard to find their contact info sometimes because autofill kept thinking I wanted to look for Hampton Inn. No fault of the owners but it can get confusing. I accidentally touched the coffeemaker while getting ready the next morning and the dust was so thick, I could write a message with my finger. It was not just the coffee maker, it was the whole tray it was on. I actually thought the dull gray color was the actual color of the coffeemaker the night before. The breakfast was very disappointing. Very few options. Biscuits and bland gravy, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, bread, cereal. No fresh fruits, no potatoes. There were no plates in sight. To get one, you have to knock on the kitchen door, hand over your breakfast ticket and they then hand you a foam plate. It was a weird set up. Considering all the good reviews, I guess I expected more from this property.

I arrived to my room and noticed there was a swarm of gnats in my bathroom sink. I killed them with a napkin and wasn't too worried about it, I was just here for one night so some gnats I figured I could deal with. I was short on time and had to leave for a wedding so I wasn't in the room all evening. When I got back from the wedding, I went to the bathroom and noticed even more gnats plus a HUGE spider in the corner of my bathroom in between the toilet and shower. It was probably close to golf ball size or bigger. I have bad arachnophobia so I'm dramatic and can't get myself to even look at or kill spiders let alone get one out of my room myself. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing the spider could move to my room so I closed the door and tried calling the front desk but received no answer. I then walked down the hall but noticed no one was at the front desk. I was unable to use my bathroom that night and had to get up super early to leave the hotel because I couldn't sleep. I went to the pool bathroom before I left and there was a small spider in that bathroom as well. No one was at the front desk when I went to leave either. The room wasn't super clean, there was a big stain on the ground near the desk. It was LOUD, I could hear every stomp and step down the hall up above me and outside my door and all of the doors slam super loud as well. My door made an awful high pitched loud squeak sound every time I opened or closed it. Wasn't the worst stay of all time but definitely not somewhere I would choose to stay again.
