So to our surprise, this hotel has been one of the cleanest stays in a long run. We were in choicehotels group, and every where we have stayed in one, from Frankenmuth MI to Belleville MI to Pittsburgh PA we have started to take our own bedsheets and lysol disinfectant wipes just to be on the safe side. We did not need them here. The beds were clean, the bedsheets were clean, the bathroom was clean, the front desk was clean and uncluttered. The only issue we had was in room #321 there were no bath towels, but when I contacted the front desk lady, Ashley, our needs were met ultra fast with an apology. It was not her fault. That's the job of the housekeeping supervisors to check and see if all is ok before rendering a room to be reopened for business, but the apology came from Ashley the only representative at night while we checked in. Awesome customer service in her part. The next morning we rushed down to have a quick breakfast, and I dropped my wife off at her work site. Returned back to the hotel and lounged around till 1pm with a late check out. Their normal checkout is 12pm. Love the times. For at choicehotels we had to start "kicking the customers out by 10am to make room for the next set of guests".

I really was leery about staying here and it being such a small town. But I must say this was one…read moreof the best hotels I've stayed in! It was super clean from top to bottom, they had a wonderful breakfast that was kept very clean and organized and my bed was so very comfortable! The sheets and pillow covers were so soft! We were greeted with a smile by every employee and it actually seemed like they loved what they did! I don't normally encounter such a warm reception at a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel! Who would think that Heath, Ohio would have such a great place!

I reserved a handicap room with a roll-in shower in Ohio. When I flew up, I found out they gave my…read moreroom away. They tried to put me in a standard ADA room with a tub instead. Since I can't get into a tub, I asked for a shower bench or chair. I was actually told it was *my* responsibility to bring one! I told them no--I rented a roll-in shower, so it is their responsibility to provide an accessible setup. When I mentioned that the situation felt unsafe and that I'd be forced to sue if I got hurt, they kicked me out of the hotel. No other hotels in the area had an accessible room available, so I had to drive 30 miles in the opposite direction just to find a place to stay. I've been emailing back and forth with the General Manager since it happened. He literally told me to get out of his hotel, asked "who did I think I was," and told me I "must be privileged." Yes, I have all of this in writing over email! The front desk agent was actually very nice and tried her best to help, but the management is ridiculous. I've been so upset about this for days. Corporate and the helpline have been useless--they just told me I have to take it up with the specific hotel to rectify it. It feels like we have no rights at all. I have officially filed an ADA violation with both the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Ohio ADA Non-Compliance. So far, I've only received an automated confirmation that they received it. People need to know how disabled travelers are being treated! by the way GM after I said in email if I got hurt because I felt unsafe I would sue, while sitting at a restaurant after we left hotel to eat dinner. Emailing him back and forth he said I was being abusive to the nice girl at the desk. I wasn't even at the location. I had witnesses the whole time and I was not and no reason to be. She was very kind and doing the best she could.

I wish I would have saved us, what I might honestly say is the worst hotel experience we've ever…read morehad, by reading Yelp before our stay!! This place is absolutely THE WORST. and the funny thing is I'm pretty sure they know it, and don't care. I was looking for a hotel that we could bring our dog, had a refrigerator & microwave and ideally free WiFi. This hotel checked off all those boxes and was crazy cheap. Score, right?? Oh hell no! Where to start.... The bathroom looked like it was a part of a creepy horror film and smelled like a dirty stale smokers mouth. The bed sheets didn't fit over the mattress and with a weird blanket UNDER them (to protect the mattress?). The picture was taken on our second day after our room had been serviced. I dont know what to say. And the characters that were hanging out outside along the fence drinking beer... we thought for sure our stuff was going to be gone when we returned. Luckily nothing was stolen but I'm going to be apologizing to my husband for a long time for making this reservation!!!

Let me start by saying that I strongly considered giving this hotel a 5 star review based solely on…read morehow much it made me laugh. If we're judging it from a comedic standpoint, it is pure gold. But, alas, I refrain from the comedic 5 star review to protect some poor soul who doesn't bother to actually read the review. There was a horrible smell of animal and old food in our room on the first day. When we arrived, we were told that our room was ready except for vacuuming. We waited a while and went in but the smell led me to believe that it wasn't cleaned at all. We had this room for a few days. Upon our return on the second day, our room had been cleaned, (the smell was gone and the sheets were straightened) but the door was left open due to a faulty door mechanism. I had to go to the local Walmart and purchase WD-40 to spray in the door so that it would close without being slammed. We left the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door for the rest of our stay for fear of our room being left open again. The pictures that I took will do the rest of the talking for me. Please take a moment to browse through those. *1 - This is the electric cord to the lamp in my room. The plug has been removed and the exposed wires have been wired directly into the outlet. *2 - This is the little "welcome" table which houses local menus and whatnot and also, apparently, screws. *3 - This is the drawer of the bedside nightstand in my room. It seems the previous occupant used it as an ashtray and it was not cleaned up. *4 - This is the coffee maker in my room, complete with mysterious white gunk. In closing, I don't even know if I can justify this one because of the low cost. It was insanely cheap and you get what you pay for and all. I just think this was a bit too much to swallow. Exposed electric wires?! That's got to be some kind of fire hazard, right?
