Reserved 7 rooms at the end of June for a family vacation July10-12th. Called to cancel on July 6th because of a death in the family. We were still charged for the rooms. We have spent 3 days trying to call the manager at that location to resolve the issue. Finally called the corporate office to file a case, the agent tried calling also and they never answered. Not far from UVU and in a very busy part of town. Front desk associate was friendly. Room is old and outdated. Broken trim on what is a closet I guess? Bathroom fan is the loudest thing I've ever heard and rattles the whole room wall. The bathtub looks like it had a hole in the bottom and was repaired. Poor water pressure. We're on the first floor and it sounds like the Jolly Green Giant is stomping up above. It's very noisy listening to everyone walk. It is pet friending and only $20 a night for up to 2 pets! That was the best part. We didn't use any other amenities as we were mostly just there to sleep and shower. read more

We have been on a 2 week travel trip to 4 states. So I could be a bit grumpy.... But I really enjoyed our stay. Front desk - great person there, friendly, helpful, cheerful- a great start. Room- nice, clean, welcoming. Perfect for us, not glamorous- just what we needed: quiet, clean, soft towels, everything worked. AC was pretty quiet. We both had a great sleep. Breakfast: you make it, so many choices. Waffles, cereal, 4 juices, coffee, eggs & sausage, yogurt- really good. So happy! Extra: I really enjoyed the city of Orem: clean, safe, well-laid out, lots of stores. I felt safe here, enjoyed looking around. Great ice Cream here - YES!! Gas was cheap too! We booked our reservations to come to Utah for a funeral; we needed to make a ONE DAY change to our itinerary and they were unwilling to make the changes and would not help us figure it out. We entered a dispute with our credit card company and will forever choose another hotel to give our business to. They expected that we would pay for a room that we weren't going to use. The staff are all friendly and will go out of the way to make your stay a pleasant one! The price is more than reasonable. The staff are so kind and sweet. Very helpful with hike suggestions and places to go. This is a standard travel motel with all the standard things that come with such a place. The staff care deeply about it and follow up with you which is so great. We had two main problems. 1) We had asked for a quiet room but were put a couple of doors down from the lobby. There was a high school athletic team visiting and it was handled with ear plugs, but would have been better if the room request was honored. No. biggie. 2) The maintenance staff had replaced all the exterior bulbs with white, bright, high contrast hospital lighting. The hallways were almost unbearable as was the lobby, especially at night. Thankfully inside the rooms were spared (at least ours) and we had decent warm white bulbs vs. the crazy harsh white ones and weren't disturbed. But didn't want to send any time in the mess hall or lobby. The manager followed up with us which was very kind. I hope they fix the lighting- at least it's a cheap fix. read more

Staff was kind and welcoming to my wife and little ones. We stayed the night in what was extremely well-kept, clean rooms. The problem arose in the morning when I went out to my car (about 8am) only to find that a boot had been placed on my tire. I had 1.) Parked in the designated hotel parking lot and 2.) Had registered my vehicle although the parking slip (which was filled out) had fallen between vent and window out of sight. I brought this to the front desk attendant's attention but he dismissed it and claimed I'd be responsible for the expensive fee of having boot removed. I said I will have none of this. We awaited the arrival of the smug univeristy security officer and he claimed I would need to pay him to have it removed. I refused showing him my paperwork. I held my ground. Eventually the front desk employee got very uncomfortable and went to the officer of the parking lot law and had a little chat. He then approached me in a sniveling way to inform me that all charges against me had been dropped and the boot will now be removed. Overall, this was an hour-long affair. We had permission to park there. The hotel and security (who didn't even work for the hotel) were extremely rude in their dealings. I would highly recommend finding a different place to lodge for the night or insist that when getting your parking pass that they give you a piece of tape to secure this slip to the inside windshield! read more

Breakfast was a little dissapointing, they only had, breakfast sandwiches that you had to warmup, very small cans of orange & apple juice, yogurt, muffins & bananas that were almost black. Rude Receptionist in Orem, Utah but on of the best night of my life anyway ... OR Would I, Could I, Dare I ... I covered 400 miles on Hwy 93 but around 6pm, with the sun directly in my eyes and traffic signs reading TIRED DRIVERS PULL OVER, it seemed like a good time to stop for the night. The building appeared clean but the front desk front desk clerk was so unwelcoming that I felt shunned. I stood in the lobby clutching my purse, taking deep breaths and knees crossed for the need for the restroom and I thought about spending the $110.xx but knew I'd spend all night thinking about her AND my $$$ and hating her, myself and the situation. She had all the warmth of a Frigidare Freezer and it felt like a stand-off between us. I was dismayed because I have many LDS friends and they are warm, welcoming and kind. I asked where the public restroom was and front desk clerk seemed unwilling to tell me. I shouted: DON'T TELL ME YOU DON'T HAVE A PUBLIC RESTROOM IN THIS BUILDING. First right, second left, she mumbled. I relieved myself in that bathroom thinking, "P*** on this" and laughed. When I returned to the lobby, I asked the clerk what town I am in. "Orem, Utah". I didn't know where I was going to stay but it wouldn't be in Orem, Utah. Back on highway 93, 5 miles East I found Provo, Utah and so happy I did. I was too tired to find another hotel so I located an industrial building with 9 irregular buildings and parked behind a building not seen from the street and decided to call it "Suite with a View". The back car was comfortable for a two hour nap after watching the scarlet sunset but then I changed into my pajamas and climbed in the front seat. My left hand found a button by the floor that lowered the drivers' seat to full rear position, and the seat became warm and the chair vibrated my back. I had a bed time snack of tomato juice and fresh fruit then fell asleep under a blanket I carry on every road trip. I woke at 4:20am with the streaks of daybreak covering everything with angel glow of gold and pink. Back on the road at 4:40 am, incredibly relaxed and ready to drive the 386 miles to Las Vegas. It was the one of the best nights of my road trip. I can't wait to return to Provo, watch the sky fill with stars and ignite my dreams of a nomadic life. And I think I'll stop off again at Comfort Inn in Orem, Utah, just to say p***on it. Travel Tips. Sometimes you have to be rude. Bring a pillow, a blanket and paper towels/toilet paper. The best things in life are free. Sunrise driving is a gift from God. At age sixty-something, yes, if I have to I can spend the night in the car - I call it an Adventure! I honestly don't have much to say but after longer that average wait times to check into the lobby - today it was about two hours to get checked in. Because I was being told that my debit card didnt work. So I am calling my bank, have them on speaker phone. My bank person assured me that there were no holds on my card and the woman at the front desk kept insisting that my card didn't work. I was only able to check in because of the kindness of a guest that saw what happened to me, and insisted on paying for my room. The woman at the front desk was shocked, and then said "Are you guys going to get me fired?" I am sitting wondering "why would I get her fired if she didn't do anything wrong..." So a kind woman pays for my room, and I tell the woman apparently my card isn't working so I will have to pay you in cash tomorrow. So I leave - now extremely late for an event - and VOILA magically my card works. Oh yeah, thats right - I was told by my bank that nothing was wrong with my card. Now it makes sense why the woman at the front desk thought I was going to get her fired. Not only was I quoted non acurate pricing, but I was charged a bunch of money and, not even charged for the dates I was staying. I think the worst part about this was, if it was a mistake she should have said something but she basically did nothing. So I got charged 300+ dollars, when I was told multiple times, after asking multiple times if the price was acurate for the dates I was staying. When I asked to speak to a manager the next day about my experience, the new woman at the front desk was extremely rude to me. Tried to gaslight me by saying that I was abusing her. While I was just asking to speak to a manager. I looked around because this had to be a joke, replied. No one is abusing you. She then told me I was verbally abusing her. I think I should probably mention I am African American. And this is Utah. If you are not white - I do not suggest staying here at all. I stayed here all week while working. I'm giving this property 5 Stars simply based on their staff (from management on-down the line,) and their incredible dedication to trying to fix issues that came up. The property can be challenging to navigate/get into - but that's what Google Maps/directions are for. I checked in early, and they had a room ready for me (nothing guaranteed - I just wanted to see if at 130pm my room might be ready...which is was.) There's PLENTY of parking. I never had a problem. If one can't follow directions on where to park/read the signs...well, that's the customer's problem. They give you a parking pass to use/display - and I noticed 90% of the people didn't even bother putting it on their dash-board. That's taking huge chances when you're parking next to college student housing. The rooms are clean, they're well-kept, and again - the staff there are incredibly friendly! I was on the 3rd floor at first (#306?) and the only quirk was the thermostat on the A/C unit was non-functional, so it ran all the time. Not a huge deal. The bed was low to the ground and firmer than what I'm use to - but there were five pillows on my bed (I had a 1-King bed room.) I got use to it quickly. There's a great TV, Fridge, and Microwave in each room. There's a working-station/desk with a standard office-chair that is convenient. Plenty of lighting in the room. There's a reading-chair/ottoman in the room as well. Very comfy! The room was spacious. Plenty of drawer, counter, and closet space. The sink is big and plenty of counter room. There was a counter also directly behind the sink that had the coffee-maker and ice bucket on it. I didn't use the coffee maker (I don't drink coffee,) but it looked well-stocked/clean. The bathroom was HUGE. Shower was great and lots of towels/washcloths were provided. One thing about the shower (just a caution,) be careful standing next to the upper soap tray. There's two in the tub/shower itself. One's down low and the other is parallel and higher...unfortunately if you're not careful, you'll bang your elbow or shoulder (depending on your height,) on it. Again, just a caution. The ice-maker on the third floor was AWESOME. The other one on the first floor was "eh" - and the property was actively trying to get it fixed. Not a huge deal. There's a quick elevator on the premises, and it's no problem for people to get a little exercise if they're able to go up the stairs. :) The breakfast was AH-MAY-ZING. It was well stocked with waffles, a variety of eggs/meats each day, lots of cereals, breads, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, juices, etc. Something for everyone! Plenty of seating and supplies. I never waited more than a minute or so if I wanted to get something (depending on the time it could be a little crowded and there could be a buffet-type line.) The property has an indoor pool/jacuzzi - it was GREAT! There's a small work-out room that might meet your needs, but there's plenty of local gyms in the Orem/Provo area too. I would say the only problem I had during the stay was the WiFi. Booking dot com rates this property 8.5/10, which is very accurate. But they also said the WiFi was exceptional. And I guess normally it is? But when I got there, the WiFi wasn't password protected and I agree with a previous reviewer...I'm sure the UVU kids are leaching onto it. I had specified I needed dependable WiFi for work, and in that regard the property let me down. But they were working on it actively and I'll for SURE pick this property again to stay at the next time I go to Provo/Orem. I'll call them first to ask if they've fixed the problem, of course. They tried moving me down to a first-floor room, but the open-access WiFi was actually slower. Shout out to the manager of this property/Stephanie. You and your staff that had to deal with this (often lost/confused,) old guy - you did a great job trying to accommodate me...specifically Rachel, Madison, and Millie (I hope I spelled everyone's name right.) You all have a sweet/kind spirit and it (should) calm anyone that's having issues that inevitably will come up. Everyone I spoke to there took the WiFi issue seriously. Poor Madison, I thought she was going to get emotional. I think people had been beating her up about it all day. But for me, as a customer, that shows that she (along with everyone else there,) really care about the customer experience/take things personally. Pretty standard, good Comfort Inn for the most part. A little more toward the affordable end of the spectrum than most. Only two issues with it. One was that the bed was one of those firm wrestling ring beds with no topper. Even Motel 6 got the cushy topper these days, gotta catch up with the times. Other thing was that the wifi was really slow at times. I think the cause of that was that it was not password-protected and there are two UVU student housing towers close enough that they can probably glom on to it. Super comfortable stay! We got the very last room which happened to be a large king suite since a drill team group had filled this and surrounding hotels. Staff was very helpful! Room was cozy and very clean! There were dozens and dozens of teenage girls staying there that we saw in the hallways and outside, but we didn't hear them at all! It's in a convenient location right off the freeway near restaurants and stores. I would totally stay here again! read more

Stayed there for 3 nights. Keycard never worked. Fan exposed in bathroom. Dangerous. Closet door doesn't shut. There is mold or mildew or something in the bathtub.They glue a giant mat or sticker or something over it to hide it, but the sticker was coming up. Huge crack in door ,can hear everything in hallway. I notified front desk of a hole in comforter n I didn't want to be responsible for it ,as it was already there. I was told oh, dont worry about it,and they apologized. We made sure the room was left immaculant,as I always do when staying at a hotel.I see a almost 200 charge on my credit card. I called and was told they are charging me for bedding....WHAT? And BTW this bedding is at least 10 years old. They are not truthful. I will never stay there again ,as they steal money from you. day 20 of my road trip i check out tomorrow. my stay here has been pretty good. its actually the cheapest place i could find in the area. its pretty nice. free internet. rooms are very nice and clean and everything is pretty new looking. they got a pool and spa. i was also able to get them to give me a discounted rate for the 3 days i was here. but if they try to back out of that deal during check out i will have to drop another star. its also right off the 15 so its close. things that bugged me, they didn't replace the water in my room. the doors jammed on me a few times. the vending machine was all out of soda. and they lock up the stuff in the common room so you can only use it up to a certain amount of time. lame. everyone was friendly though and helpful and all young. they were all either teenagers or in their 20s. strange...but all seemed happy haha. oh yeah during check out the girl was getting all giddy saying my name. first asian name shes ever had to say? she can't repeating my first and last name over and over and was getting all happy that she was saying it right. seems like its a sign i need to move on... read more

Pretty unprofessional. The property had many issues: Window screen in room was torn at corner and you could stick your head through it, light bulb out in lamp, clock radio didn't work at all, vending and ice machine on second floor was absent and a large messy space left, way too much chlorine in pool so that it was uncomfortable to swim, really cheap toilet paper, and breakfast so so. Floors are FILTHY. Went from the elevator to end of hallway and back (a total of about 50 yards) and my feet were completely black. Lobby bathrooms are always locked, I guess to keep out the riff raff so you'll need to plan AHEAD and not wait until you "really have to" with your kids because you'll need to go back upstairs to your room. Breakfast is normal rubber like most hotel chains. Staff is very nice. Rooms are average, was expecting better for the price and "suite" distinction. read more

Quiet, clean-ish. - I had to stay here again recently. I like the hotel just fine - but it's certainly nothing to write home about. The best thing about it, is that it's right next ot a Krispy Kreme! Yay heart disease! - This hotel is all right. It'll run you around $60 a night. This time I had a room with 2 queen beds, one of which had a big stain on the comforter (??). Weird. TV Remote was missing it's battery panel, so that was odd. And also - the two lights by the beds fell apart when I tried to turn them on (??). Very strange. - BUT, it's a quiet place - you are in OREM, after all, and the location is right there in the heart of all the commercialization that is Orem, Utah. read more

On 9-13 This hotel had rude receptionist - I asked if any rooms available & she said I'm sure we do & she would check & when I mentioned needing a pet room suddenly they were fully booked and had nothing! Called after leaving and they DID have available rooms Including pet rooms so I was unfairly Discriminated against (white male) so I was forced to keep driving. The bathroom is a bit cramped, but the room itself is kinda nice. About as nice as any old run-of-the-mill Super 8. We didn't eat the breakfast; we learned our lesson after Sleep Inn poisoned us. We love how the only view from a TOP-FLOOR ROOM is the Krispy Kreme. The pool was closed Feb 9-11, but after the 11th, they expanded that to the 15th. We were staying here Feb 9-13. I assume that for whatever reason, they were closing the pool so that WE couldn't go swimming. read more

We stayed overnight on our way through town to Yellowstone. The hotel is located just off the freeway with several restaurants in the area. We got a King suite for $125 on a Friday night. The room and grounds were very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A small stuffed penguin got left behind on accident and the staff (especially Britney) was very helpful in locating him and agreed to mail him home. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Booked this hotel for the week and it was a really nice place to stay. Looked just like the pictures and everything was so nice and clean and gorgeous! Very nice and comfortable beds to sleep in. It's also very convenient with its location, not far from stores and restaurants/fast food areas. It was very easy to go somewhere close by to get something needed fast. We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way up to Wyoming. First of all the room ended up costing $95 for one night and the mattress on the bed needed replacing so was extremely uncomfortable. Also every 20 minutes or so the air conditioning would make a weird noise making it hard to sleep. We also were not impressed when told that the closet restaurant was not within walking distance (we had ridden on a motorcycle for 10 hours in 100 degree weather so were anxious to get out of our motorcycle gear) yet when we got back on the bike we easily could have walked to an Applebee's which was right up the road. In all fairness I must mention that they did have a continental breakfast in the morning but it was just so-so. read more

I cannot stress enough how much trouble this place caused me. I work for a to remain nameless company that recently opened a new location in Orem, UT. I spoke with the "sales director" at this location about booking several rooms for people we had traveling to set up the new location. I needed to book about 15 rooms, with some of the employees staying as long as 30 days. I was offered a reasonable rate and told that securing these rooms (with refrigerators and microwaves, since they were long term guests) would not be a problem. I booked the rooms several weeks in advance. The employees did not all arrive at once, they were staggered. Every employee had a problem upon arrival. No one was given the type of room that we booked. The hotel also double booked on of the employee's rooms. He had a complete stranger walk into his room in the middle of the night. I guess at least he learned a lesson about always using the deadbolt. When he called the front desk to tell them what happened, they just said, "Oh, sorry." I found out a few days after this incident that they were also billing some of the rooms at a higher rate than the rate we agreed on. I won't go into all of the details about how this hotel "tried" to make the situation right, because I am not here to write a long scathing review. I just think it is unacceptable to treat someone who is offering you so much business so unprofessionally. In the end I moved all my employees to the La Quinta next door, which was cleaner, friendlier, and less of a hassle. read more
