They anticipated this question and had a sign with a QR code guiding attendees to nearby parking. That was kind of annoying-not having close parking, and having to pay to park at a neighboring hotel. If you're an out of town visitor and staying at one of the hotels nearby, as I'm assuming many people do, this is no problem. But for locals who are driving, be aware of this and plan a little extra time to walk (and money to pay). Once I made it into the convention center, I took the elevator, attempting to go to the third floor where my meeting was. But it only went to level 2, then you had to get out of the elevator, walk down a hall, get on an escalator to get to level three. Odd. I'm sure when you get the hang of navigating around, it's not bad. But first impressions were that this was not going to be an easy in-easy out sort of event. The rest of my experience was fine-nothing notable. But if I was planning an event, I'd have to consider the parking situation and extra signage to avoid confusion with my attendees.

Felt totally safe at night walking back even though the neighborhood streets aren't well lit.

They thought of everything, it seems. They even have Netflix, for those that like to stay in. The TV swiveled away from the wall so we could watch a movie while we ate at the dining table. (‍) Lots of light, lots of fun, definitely a luxury stay, at an affordable price. If you're going to Provo, you want to stay here, as it's the best place around. Few buildings stay true to their original purpose, but the Art City Inn has remained a hotel since…read morethe late 1800's when it was built. It's gone through several names and renovations over the decades, and what you see today is still a place where travelers stay a night or two. It's not like the modern day hotel, but an intimate bed and breakfast. The day of your arrival, you'll receive a text with check in instructions, which include door codes for self service. When I arrived, there was someone at the front desk to answer some questions, but we could have found our way without help. The room was clean and comfortable, with the exception of the bed. It was pretty dated and uncomfortable. Breakfast is in a tiny room off the lobby-any more than 2-3 people can be crowded. You'll find some pastries, cereal, nuts and juice. There's a coffee machine in the lobby with k-cups. The outdoor area is beautiful, with a hot tub on the patio and some small bistro tables on the front porch. On a nice day, it's a lovely place to sit and enjoy the memories of days gone by.

It's just a couple blocks from a nice paved walk & bike path that connects Heber City to Midway. The one minor issue is we called a few days ahead for allergies as suggested (gluten), but it had no impact - the chef said they ran out of GF bread the day before our stay. The person who checked us in said "I'm in your parking spot, but you can have it when I leave at 10pm tonight". We didn't say a thing, what we were supposed to say? 2) When we walked in, immediate stench of odor, reminiscent of a run down old folks home. 3) Entire room was dirty, dusty, cobwebs, including the jetted tub that smelled musty. 4) The pillow on the bed (see photo) inferring they don't launder their comforters, gross. 5) Breakfast was average; microwaved precooked bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and French toast. Not terrible, not $225/night quality. 6) Guest book in the room with rules & places to dine around town is outdated; Iggys? Hoppers? Both out of business for several years now. 7) No where to put your suitcase or belongings, not even a luggage rack to keep belongings off the floor. They did have a coat rack in the restroom, which was weird and not useful. 8) The concept of themed rooms is cute, candidly, this place is not somewhere we would visit again.

I had really talked this place up to my family and was excited to share the fun and experiences I remembered. When we arrived, the lobby was packed, which was expected, and I do not fault the resort for that. I actually appreciated how much of the property still feels the same and brings back those great memories. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the lack of children's activities. In the past, the children's craft classes and hikes were long, engaging, and well organized. I expected something similar after all these years, but the current activities felt more like a last-minute afterthought. The arcade games have also been removed. All that remains is a pool table, air hockey, and ping pong. This was disappointing, especially when bringing children to a place that once offered so much for families. I was also disappointed with the adult pool situation. The pool clearly states that it is for guests 18 and older. I understand that children are allowed between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m., but that does not appear to be enforced. Kids were splashing and yelling in the pool, coming into the hot tub, and then going back to the pool. I spoke with a staff member who was changing out towels, and after looking at the children, he simply said, "Yeah, they sneak in," before walking away. I'm not against kids at all--I brought my own family--but it would be nice to have a place where adults can relax as advertised. It is unfortunate, but I do not plan on returning. I hope the Iron Blosam invests more in children's activities and better enforces the adult-only pool policy. This resort was once a very special place to me, and I truly hope it can continue to be for future families as well.
