I honestly didn't even get a chance to see the hotel because the front desk person was so rude to me when I called to ask one question. he kept beating around the bush when I said I just had one question and he kept asking me if I was planning to book. I told him I was, but I didn't tell him that I wanted to book online. I always do that. So he kept refusing to let me ask a question and then became progressively more rude until he basically hung up at me at the end when I told him I was going to speak with my before booking. I've been coming here for 6 of the last 7 years (2018 to 2024) for this specific weekend. This will be the last. There were stink bugs everywhere we looked in our room and in the hotel. When we spoke to the staff, they said there was nothing the exterminator could do until it was warmer outside to fumigate. Our original suite room was destroyed in a fire, a month ago, yet were only told 7 days before our trip, and instead of fixing the problem and offering another room, they attempted to cancel my 7 month old confirmation. I had to contact the manager to fix the situation, since all of the hotels this weekend in the area were full. Our room was not worth the money though, since the manager set the confirmation we were given a higher rate, no discount, and no rewards. The suite had a refrigerator, larger space, and large jet bathtub. The accommodations we got were sparce and didn't have any of these features, and was almost the same price. The staff are over worked and desperately need more bodies working there. I only saw three staff members for the whole weekend that was sold out. No one cleaned our room between the days we stayed there, so towels and trash were piled up. When we asked for more towels, the staff said we had to bring our soiled towels to them at the check-in counter. Finally, the parking lot is not sufficient to handle the full hotel, friends of mine got stuck in the parking lot because other guests were double parked. read more

Best in class. Clean. Well-maintained. Nice staff. Spacious. Breakfast was probably the best I have ever had at one of these: make your own waffles, good orange juice, and bananas that weren't green! If you are remotely in the area, stay here. read more

Great for a cheap hotel! We stayed here over the holidays. The breakfast is great, the rooms are nice and very clean, the staff was SUPER helpful and kind. The pool area was nice and clean and they were cool about my niece and nephews coming over to swim. We will stay there again. read more

We stayed here for one night. I was quite impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of the staff that checked us in. The pool floor was a bit "slimy" but it was clean. Probably a build up from lack of use. When we left, I dropped off room cards at the front desk and the lady working never acknowledged my presence or the lady that dropped hers off right before me. Other than that, the hotel was nice. I would stay there again and I would also recommend it to others. read more

I haven't stayed here, but I visited a friend in her room and I must say, if I was from out-of-town and looking for a place to stay, Comfort Inn would be it! Comfy-looking, well-kept room with plenty of space for disabled people. (My friend specifically requested this room, as she has a hard time getting around.) Good selection in the vending machines and the pool looked decent, but I didn't swim--we were that busy shopping and hanging out! Free wifi, close to "burger row" and the freeway...definitely a good place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Lansing! read more

I tried to stay here with my family. We walked in and immediately smelled an odor that didn't smell right, we gave it the benefit of the doubt but that didn't last long. We got to our room and it was super outdated, and the odor was only stronger. The kids wanted to swim so we went and there was No ventilation it smelled like mildew and chlorine and it was overwhelming. The water wasn't well kept and the towels were damp as smelled l Iike mildew as well. My in laws came to visit and left with headaches and had trouble breathing, that's when we knew we had to leave. The staff was very rude and not helpful about a refund/speaking to a manager so my father in law had to call corporate.. long story short we would never recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

Over priced for what you get. King room, no fridge, no microwave, coffee maker in the bathroom (yuk). The sheets were clean but I could see that the comforter was dirty along the top where you pull it up around your neck, (wonder how many dead skin cells were there). On my second day noticed the shower curtain had a dirty hand print. Strange smell when you entered the lobby, don't think it was mold, perhaps exterminator smell? whatever it was, very off-putting. $100 night one person, not worth it. Stayed here on a business trip for one night. The accommodations were satisfactory. The room was nice and clean and the front desk was very friendly. Matt who was that manager at the time was very helpful and sweet as can be. Also liked the free continental breakfast (love those waffles). read more

I want to start off by saying that most of the staff were nice but I still felt like something was missing. The hotel as a whole has a retirement home feel. They need some SERIOUS updating! The bed and furniture were old. My husband and I stayed there for about a week to be close to is family. And we will NOT be staying again! One night we came back late and there was a stain on the blanket that, we'll just stay, looked suspicious and the sheets were stained (and this was after room service cleaned the room). The night staff was apologetic and help us to switch rooms. When I mentioned it in the morning, I was made to feel like it was our fault. Like we had done something to stain the bedding. I told them that it was impossible since we had only just gotten back less than 5 minutes ago and could very that fact by talking to the previous night staff. But she didn't want to listen to me stating that "It couldn't be my staff. I trust my staff!" While I applaud she conviction to her employees, she ostracized her guest. Truthfully it's not the worst hotel out there but FAR from nice. And as I said before, my husband and I would rather drive 30 minutes to stay in a MUCH BETTER (cleaner, newer, nicer staff where we always felt welcomed) Comfort Inn in Lansing! read more

We stayed here on our way to Ontario. It is exactly what you would expect of a decent Comfort Inn; friendly staff, clean room, the normal Comfort Inn breakfast. We saved $20-30 staying here vs. staying closer to Lansing. The only two minor criticisms would be: 1) the pool is pretty small (but clean); 2) the sign for the hotel is tiny...we drove past twice before we finally saw it. Again, very minor issues. We would definitely stay here again. read more
