Comfort Keepers provided the best caregiver one could ask for. Lucy is our caregiver for my elderly mother who has Alzheimer's. We were desperate to find help, but it had to be someone who could engage and stimulate my mother, since she is not bedridden. We also wanted someone trustworthy and independent, and Lucy is all that. My mother was just sitting all day, before Lucy came to help. Lucy made a strong connection immediately, figured out a fun,creative way for my mother to remember her name based on my mom's interests. Lucy has taken a load off of myself and my family with the help she provides. She has organized my mom's space making getting her clothes easier for her, has been able to help her to take showers and wash hair (this was a constant battle and stressor before Lucy), takes her out to walk and keep her stamina up, and overall provides companionship, along with handling the needed activity. Lucy is a competent and experienced caregiver who knows what to do without any direction. Lucy has given us peace and some of our time back. I was desperate for a night care giver for my relative. I browsed google and I was drawn to name Comfort. I called and they answered the phone so kind, "how can I offer you comfort today" I just started crying with relief that here was someone who could really help me. I signed up because they certainly did provide those services. My relative is a real handful at night and we were at our wits end of how to deal with him. They sent us Lucy who truly is an Angel. My caregiver is Maylynn Montoya. She's been taking care of me since last November. As far as I'm concerned, she's the best caregiver I (or my wife, RIP) ever had. I had 3 major surgeries in the last 10 months. So I needed someone to help me, Maylynn came and she took the initiative and helped me recover. She's fantastic..I have a problem with lack of appetite but Maylynn makes a point of cooking something and sometimes even talks me into finishing the meal. She does all the shopping and I don't even have to make a shopping list. She knows what's in my kitchen and makes sure I don't run out of anything. She also sometimes modifies her schedule so she can take me to an appointment. In one word she's great. I wouldn't want anyone else as a caregiver. read more

We were trying to find in home care and all the agencies we were referred to by her insurance could not provide us with help. Eventually comfort keepers was referred to us and Cindy hustled to find us the help we needed!! We ended up not needing the help as mom got better. I felt bad that cindy had done all that work for nothing and wanted to do something for her to say thank you. Comfort Keepers provided care for my sister in Arcadia, California. I live in SC and had to have someone that was great, reliable, trustworthy, dependable, and with excellent communication channels. I found this and more with Comfort Keepers. They were outstanding and caring and our Case Manager, Alma went well above and beyond making sure we were always in the loop on everything. She did her very best to keep consistency with the caretakers that would be in the home. There were many times Alma would also be in the home or in the hospital with my sister and her husband when needed. She was always reachable and on the rare occasion when she was not, she had great back up coverage in place. I highly recommend Alma and her team! Mom was hospitalized for pneumonia, and I knew we'd need help with home health care upon leaving the hospital. Alma and Willian form comfort keepers visited my mom in hospital and we discussed best options for help. Our fist home health care professional, Nga, was/is on time, has a good interaction with my mom, interested in keeping her exercising regularly, and is keen to help out where needed. David Kato and his team at Comfort Keepers of Arcadia were invaluable to my family. During a very difficult time of transition, they were the angels we needed. My mom and her husband had been living in an assisted living facility over the last couple of years, both with progressing cognitive issues. After her husband's passing, in her heartbreak, our mom's confusion and disorientation understandably increased. At the same time, the facility was unable handle Mom's expanding needs and with almost no notice, required us to bring on an individual caregiver 24x7 until we found another situation for her. Throughout all of this, her agitation and confusion continued to grow and through a referral, we found David Kato who literally came to Mom's (and our!) rescue. David's skill, knowledge, and emotional intelligence guided us. He got to know Mom and her personality, built a rapport with her and provided caregivers that were a really good match. He supported not only Mom, but us, every step of the way. David helped all of us feel OK when we were beside ourselves with worry, and for Mom, with loneliness and confusion. My father was recently diagnosed with dementia so we need to have someone with him during the day when everyone is at work. I found Comfort Keepers Home Care through the Alzheimer's Association website. We had tried a few staff from Comfort Keepers but decided to keep Nga. She helps us four days a week and sometimes five days a week. Nga is very professional and has a lot of patience. She helps out with housework around the house including cooking. Nga has excellent skills to provide cares for the elderly. Especially it's not easy to take care a dementia patient but my father is really happy with Nga and her cares. She gives my father a lot of attentions and cares, talks to my father when he is feeling down or depressed. Nga also ensures my father does his daily exercise to improve his shuffled walk. She is also very observant and gives us feedbacks about my father's well-being each day and would alarm us if she sees any changes in behavior/personality. Nga is also very knowledge about healthy eating habits. We made most of the meal plans for our father and Nga helps to cook. She is not only a great chef but also ensure that her cooking is healthy for our father (uses little oil, adds veggies to the meals). Recently, she also volunteered to make black garlic for my father and our family to try and explained to my father of the health benefits from black garlic. Nga is also a very honest and reliable person. We trust her and let her take our father out for a doctor visit, haircut, market, or lab tests. She is very communicative and would communicate with us on the regular basis to ensure that we both are on the same page so that our father can get the best daily cares. If you need a professional, expert, and patient individual with a big heart to take care of an elderly person, I would recommend Nga. She is with us for the last four months and we are very happy with the cares that she's providing. read more

Cindy was caring, professional , and went above and beyond to pull things together so quickly for my mom and I can't thank her enough.
