Not sure where my first review went but when I was 17 I was supposed to get all 4 wisdom teeth taken out, this office billed insurance for all 4 and only took out two, the office across the street near Vons brought this to my attention because I was experiencing jaw pain in my 20s and couldn't figure out why. Turns out my wisdom teeth were still there. It was a pain in the ass getting the second removal and having to rectify with insurance. I would just go across the street to western. Regardless of whether or not it was truly a clerical error (which I doubt bc you have to type in exact codes for insurance billing , and how do you accidentally type 4 separate codes?) it shouldn't have happened. I never got the chance to evaluate the service, as I was denied a timely initial appointment based on my insurance. Although they accept my Delta HMO dental insurance, they have a monthly "quota" of new patients with this specific insurance. I was told that there would be a 3 month wait before they would schedule an initial exam or any other service, even though I had a more immediate need for care. I have never encountered this before with my insurance. The delay was solely based on what kind of insurance I have, and they would not make any appointment slots available to me for 3 months. I was very disappointed they would delay scheduling an exam and ignore my need for care because of their "quota". If they are not going to see patients with a particular insurance in a timely manner, why accept that insurance at all? The response from the office (below) does not address their insurance "quota" policy or the reason they delayed access to an initial exam, new patient appointment, or any other service. Beware and call ahead of selecting them as your HMO insurance provider. read more

Having bad experiences in the past with dental care I have very high anxiety and am fearful of going to the dentist. I recently had a deep cleaning and 2 wisdom teeth removed. The entire staff at this location is polite, accommodating, and professional. Most people don't like going to the dentist, but they make sure their patients are comfortable and well-taken care of so that any anxiousness you may have is put to rest. STAFF The hygienists that have helped me, Jazzman and Emily are kind and gentle. They are very conscientious of my comfort level and very skilled at dental care whether it's a cleaning, xrays, checkups, etc. They make going to the dentist a pleasure, which is saying a lot! Betty is friendly and efficient. She's great at making sure all your questions are answered and explains all the dental procedures and services very clearly. Betty along with the staff are also great at handling logistics with FSAs and payments, which can be cumbersome and confusing. Dr. Omid Kashani is probably the dentist I've ever had. It's clear that he cares about his profession and wants to provide the best service possible to his patients.
