What a nice surprise during our visit. The staff was busy inside the kitchen and they offered more than just hamburgers. Chicken Salad, grilled Chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies. The only thing I wish they had were shakes. The drinks out of the cooler was meh. The burgers come in alot of varieties but I stuck with the house favorite. It was cooked perfect ie med rare. AMAZING BURGERS, biggest deep fried (but not greasy) onion rings. Make it a point to visit the Comfort Kitchen. There is a small area next to the windows if u want to eat inside as well as a table. We chose outside under the oak trees that provided shade as well as tables. Finally a fabulous place to eat knowing the food is first rate and the staff cares. We could only eat half (my daughter had a chicken burger) so the following day we had awesome leftovers! read more

Fantastic food incredible service. I love their burger but I do not like their sauce. I always just use mayonnaise and ketchup. The fries are incredible as are their onion rings. I forgot to add. I'm sorry but 7.99 for a SIDE of onion rings is ludicrous! I ordered an 11$ hamburger with a 8 dollar side? If one person orders a burger I don't want an onion ring appetizer I want a side. They should have been portioned and priced that way. After I paid and looked at my receipt I went back and ask is this normal?! She told me I should have ordered the kids onion rings. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat, but settled on the Kitchen Sink burger! It was so big--I could only eat half! Burger was very juicy! My friend got the Swiss and shroom burger with onion rings! She continued to stuff herself after being full because hers was so good! And the onion rings-the onion rings!! There were cooked to perfection! Batter was light, and they were seasoned with some sort of seasoning negating any need for a dipping sauce! If you're in the Fort Worth (west), Mineral Wells, Weatherford area and or traveling on I-20 west of Fort Worth, you need to stop here to eat! It's barely a mile off the interstate and worth it! Word of caution: seating inside is limited to counter seating at the window. They do however have several tables outside. read more

Pumped gas at the Valero/sonic store in I20. Sonic didn't sound appetizing so I googled for food places. This popped up. We thought we'd give it a try and it did not disappoint. Amazing food! I got their Swiss & Mushroom Burger like I do everywhere else and this one is easily my favorite. I'm usually a french fry girl but just couldn't pass up trying the onion rings and they did not disappoint! I don't know what's in the batter but it's super crispy, just the right amount of salty and the onion was super tender. Everyone I was with loved their food as well. All of their staff were incredibly nice and friendly and all the patrons that overheard us say it was our first time, just went on and on about how good everything is and how they've never had anything they didn't like. Don't waste your time with this place. Food is good but they are unbelievably slow the few times we have tried. Recently, I placed an online order, got an email confirmation, went to the restaurant to find out they were completely out of chicken. I understand that happens but I asked why they wouldn't let me know instead of letting me go to there to find out. The response was that they didn't accept the online order. Why would I have an email confirmation? The worst part was that there were no apologies whatsoever. Go to back roads cafe down the road. Better food and far better service. read more
