HORRIBLE COMPANY--had done business with them for years and they treat me like crap. Heat went out on Saturday and their website says they monitor after hours but they don't. Wasn't til I emailed them they responded--and a day late. I had other HVAC tech diagnose the issue in the meantime and then asked that comfort shield to source the part, so they can show up prepared to fix the issue (and yeah I was prepared to pay for the part even if it turned out it was something else [unlikely]). Well the showed up not prepared and then try to tell me they have to charge me a trip charge. I was like no--you should have been prepared. You came out not prepared when you knew the unit wasn't working--why do i pay for that service. The tech says they will talk to owner and ask to waive trip charge but owner doesn't even have the courtesy to call back and they drive off leaving me wondering--so I call and talk to owner and he gets pissy with my and says they are not repairing the unit. I was like you couldn't even have the courtesy to talk to me? Who does that? Leave a customer in 20-degree weather without heat. So bad. read more

After 2000 dollars worth of work they told me they would not repair our broken hvac system because of "misuse". We tried to tolerate the freezing cold temperatures in one part of her house with space heaters because it was so cold and followed there suggestion. Unit still broke and now they will not warrant the work. It took them 12 days to finally respond. Not recommended read more

Comfort Shield is amazing! I completely trust Ken and the work he does. After contacting a large, well publicized company about servicing all the units and fixing a broken HVAC, I got a huge quote just to LOOK at the unit, no fix included! And of course, I would have to set up another appointment because this guy doesn't actually do anything but write estimates. In comes Comfort Shield to service the working units (I had given up on fixing the one, thinking it would be too expensive), and when I mentioned that another one wasn't working, Ken said they'd just check it out real quick. Imagine my relief when the problem was a BAD FUSE! 2 minutes and a 10 cent part later, we had heat! The other company was ready to gouge me, and Comfort Shield actually just wanted to HELP! For a company to be honest when a small fix is all that's needed, they have my business for life! read more

We needed a yearly HVAC service, and Comfort Shield came recommended from a friend. They were able to come out sooner than we originally planned, which was great for us, since our A/C began to go on the fritz a little. The technicians were Jesse & Nick, and they were very courteous and professional. Our furnace is a little difficult to access, but they took it in stride. The price was extremely fair, and I'm glad we have a reliable, trustworthy company to handle all of our HVAC needs. read more

We had an issue with our A/C turning on and called this company to come out and diagnose the issue. A guy came out and diagnosed that some of the wiring had been switched around by the previous homeowners for a smart thermostat and they needed to be switched back. The technician fixed the issue in less than 30 minutes of stepping foot in our home. No wiring or extra supplies needed. It was such a quick fix that he solved the problem before even discussing the time it wound take or pricing to fix it. We were told prior to them coming out that there would be an $85 service fee, which we agreed to, but after the work was completed the guy said the total cost would be $250. He had no explanation for the cost other than "it's a standard fee". The technician was nice and was able to fix the issue, but completely failed to discuss pricing before completing the work. We were prepared to pay whatever it cost to fix it but we felt like that price was completely disproportionate to the work. We called the ownership after the technician left to question the charges and they said there was nothing they could do about it. We feel completely taken advantage of and would not recommend this company to anyone. As new home owner who were looking for a company we could use again in the future, we will NEVER be using them again. BEWARE this company so that they do not do this to you. read more

I honestly cannot even find enough good things to say. Ken and Jesse came out and went above and beyond. We installed a Nest thermostat in our home, and knew something wasn't right. Nest sent us a list of recommend companies, and after a conversation with someone very rude at "the other guys" - I called Comfort Shield. Not only was scheduling a breeze- the lovely young lady was actually able to give me a service time - but Ken and Jesse called and asked if they could come a few minutes early or if I preferred for them to wait. Um, come on over - IT'S HOT! The problem ended up being slightly more complicated given the layout of our house, but Ken and Jesse were able to solve it quickly. They were also very accommodating given that I was working from home this afternoon. After running new wires from the furnace to our thermostat downstairs, they made a point of making the wires look nice, since they run through a bookcase in our living room. (Weird house flaw, but it looks a lot better now than before!) And, they cleaned up any dust that was caused in the process, which I appreciate. I'm excited to make Comfort Shield the company that performs all my HVAC maintenance in the future. Thanks again guys! read more

Switched to Comfort Shield after years of getting gouged by Moncrief H&A. I cannot say enough positive things about doing so. These guys are completely professional, very thorough for routine maintenance, and charge a very fair price. Unlike with Moncrief, I don't feel like I'm overpaying just because I live in Buckhead, and I have every confidence in what the Comfort Shield technician tells me about my system. My only regret is that I didn't switch years ago. Finally have a heating and air company with integrity. Such a positive experience and I'm looking forward to a long relationship with these guys. read more

True colors come out eventually!! I used Comfort Shield once and was pleased with the work, boy was I fooled! I decided to use them again for my primary residence and one of my rental properties in Snellville, Ga. When I call the young lady had no problem booking my appointments, I even asked her if Snellville was in there service area. Fast forward 3 days...I receive a call that the A/C isn't working. I call Comfort Shield and request after hours serivce....never received a call back. So, I follow in the morning (5/9/16) explaining that I didn't receive a call back. I would like to add that I was calm and politie. The gentlemen I spoke with...explained that he handled my original service call. Let's just say he took every opportunity to blame me for him wasting his time going to Snellville. He went on and on about how Snellville was way outside his service area, he tried to call me. I had no missed call or email about the visit. I explained that asked prior to about the service area..he claim the lady was trying to help me out. You don't HELP people by leaving them with a broken A/C that was working just fine before the maintence visit. Then act like it's an inconvenience to come back for the repair!! The gentlemen had no manners when speaking to me. Next time I want good quality service, I'll call Moncrief...NOT these unethical workers! read more
