I normally get my shoes through the VA from the comfort shoe center. After trying to simply purchase some inserts for my shoes from Janet I will never do business with comfort shoe center again and recommend no one else does either Janet was rude and suspicious and wouldn't sell me some inserts unless I showed her a receipt for shoes already purchased I'm not sure what is wrong with her. Went there for a VA consultation with my husband. When we arrived on a scheduled appointment he could not find our paperwork. When we asked him if he could do the orthotics that we needed he proceeded to raise his voice and tell my husband to sit down and take off his shoes. My husband having served 22 years did not appreciate that and told the gentleman he would be taking his business elsewhere. As we were leaving the Asian man proceeded to follow us and continue to yell. Don't come here! They are rude and unprofessional! read more

I have got to say we are so glad that we went to this shoe center. The best experience ever. Sun Lee made sure we got the proper shoe fit. He measured observed and listened to our particular complaints. We purchased two pair of gdefy shoes and our best purchase all year. I have problems with my feet inflammation kicks in concerning plantar fasciitis. The past couple weeks have been miserable for me. Sun properly measured my feet, I tried them on and I am telling you the absolute truth. I felt the difference and pain was relieved. I could walk the floor of the shop back and forth. Each time it felt better and better. Before I went into the store I had a limp and my foot hurt. The muscles were tight. Being flat footed didn't help. To tell you the truth I was going to just wait for my roommate outside. Ok had to go to the restroom and was dreading walking to find one. So I went in my roommate was trying on shoes and I asked to please use the bathroom. No hesitation Sun Lee was polite and gracious granting me the use of the restroom. Afterwards I walked and sat down by my roommate and Sun asked if I was experiencing pain in my feet. So cutting to the chase Sun Lee suggested some shoes of course I was reluctant but tried them on. First time ever and like I said my feet and ankles say Thank you Sun Lee. The best quality walking sneaker/shoe I have ever had. Both of us are very happy we were customers and yes we will be back. I'm so glad my co-worker recommended Comfort Shoe Center to me. My flat, extra wide feet are now at peace. For over 30 years I've lived with foot and knee pain. I always chalked it up to being a bit over weight and perhaps being less active then I should be. I've spent over a thousand dollars on inserts from "as seen on tv" commercials, Amazon, Walmart, and other stores with little relief. I don't want to even think about how much I've spent on shoes. I even got some of those rigid custom orthotics (which may work for some people) from my podiatrist that made my pain even worse. Anyhow, the past few years working 12 hour shifts in an ER was starting to take a toll on me. I even contemplated quitting my job because of the constant pain. That's when my co-worker showed me his custom orthotics and shoes he got from Comfort Shoe Center. I originally went to the San Diego store and met Sun Lee. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and the equipment he used to diagnose my problems and concerns. I purchased two pairs of shoes and custom orthotics. The shoes themselves, helped alleviate the pain even before the custom orthotics were ready. The shoes became even more life changing for me once I picked up the orthotics a few weeks later at his Sun City store location. Seriously it feels like I'm walking on clouds now. The plantars fasciitis issues in both of my feet have completely heeled. I'm so glad Sun Lee had various styles in my shoe size in stock since I'm such a difficult fit. Do not go here to have your shoes fixed! They did the worst job I have ever seen. I paid $65 to have some elastic repaired on some heels. One pair was red and they used white elastic and sewed it all crooked and sticking out. Another pair didn't need the elastic repaired, but they did it anyways and didn't fix what was needed. They were supposed to glue the side of the shoe back in. So, those came back still unable to be used and charged for unneeded elastic. The worst part is it took them 2 1/2 weeks to do this terrible job. So unhappy!!! read more

I am posting a 5 Star review because Mr and Mrs Lee have surpassed my expectations, regarding their work with the VA and Veterans looking for Diabetic Footwear. Mr. Lee aka Dr. Lee checks you for everything, to ensure you get the proper footwear based on your gait and position formalities. He creates insoles using the info that he has gathered. I had a TERRIBLE experience with the owner of Comfort Shoe Center. I have purchased many pairs of Gdefy shoes from that store.... I deiced to have a pair of orthotics made for me . They were custom made, but the orthotics were too thick to work adequately in the shoe. The Gdefy should sits higher than most shoes. Therefore, this orthotic was not suitable for this shoe.... He was unwilling to make this right, even the adjustment would not work. Be sure, when you request orthotics you know what you are getting in return. ( especially from this store ) He was not willing to comprise at all. I personally went to a podiatrist , and they said it was not correctly designed for that shoe. We went there to get shoes fitted for my wife as she is having foot problems. An Asian gentleman waited on us , and he really knows the shoe business. Service was good until another Asian couple came in. He left us hanging to wait on them. He never came back to us and ignored others that came in the store. I had nothing short of a wonderful experience here. I brought an expensive pair of shoes in to be resoled. Mr. Lee stayed in constant contact with me via text messages including detailed status reports and images. My husbands shoes were ready in under a week... He even text me again because I was unable to get there right away to pick them up and ended up forgetting about them. Mr. Lee was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I don't know about the cost of their new shoes, but I can tell you the cost for refurbishing old ones was great. They seriously looked as good as the day I bought them. read more

I came here to see if there were shoes that were more comfortable. Sun Lee observed how I walked and checked my hips. My left hip is shorter than the other! This was why I was having problems with my back, achillies, and IT band. He put a small wedge under the insert of my shoe to help me walk evenly! Saw the reviews about older grumpy people and figured I would fit right in. Took in my 25 year old Florsheim boots for soles and heels. The lady I spoke with, a senior citizen, did not greet me when I walked in but I could see she was concentrating of finding something for the customer ahead of me. They carry the best shoes. They are way understaffed in Sun City. Their service on orders was terrible! The owner is very knowledgeable but he's not always available. Hit or miss. If they didn't carry SAS I'd never go back. read more

I've been going to comfort shoes for two years the owners of the store very polite , give you great service accommodate all your needs. I had to go in six months after getting my inserts when my foot was hurting and they took care of it right away no questions asked that's good service.
