Amber assisted me today. I had a picture of the exact boot I wanted and knew the exact size because I fell in love with that boot 2 1/2 years ago at an Ariat store. I was shocked they had my exact boot but $200 cheaper. The service was great! Amber even treated my boots for me. My only complaint is that even though there is a 30 day return it is only for something you haven't really worn. I asked if I could wear them In my home to make sure I got the correct size. Nope, that is considered used. Hmmmm.... that doesn't sound right but okay. The store seemed pretty clean but I was only there looking at the boots. I went to Boot Barn yesterday trying to exchange my Jean dress for a smaller size. They didn't have the dress that I had originally purchased in Norco so I decided to look around. Morgan walked up and bought several jean dresses that they did have and all in my size. I thought it was a nice gesture and a good sales move. So they were able to save a jacket I ordered from another Boot Barn. I drove there to pick it up. I was greeted by a tall Hispanic female. Super friendly and helpful. Star employee! The one that rang me up, however, just seemed bothered by the entire experience. I described her as shorter, larger girl. It is so frustrating to shop here when you can't get into a fitting room because they only have two for women and two for men. (Same problem as at the Temecula location, unfortunately.) the store is beautiful with so much merchandise, and they do a great job of showcasing their stock. However, in store shoppers want to be able to TRY ON clothes. Every time I've gone, there has been a long wait to get into the fitting no rooms. And good luck if you need size changes once you're in. They don't really help with that so you have to get dressed, swap your size, then wait again to get into the fitting rooms. With such a huge store I'm not sure why they don't have more fitting rooms. It makes it hard to buy anything when you can't try things on! Everyone is super nice here though. read more

Went in to return a sweatshirt that was too big for my son's birthday and they were slow and the line was 4 deep. There was cashier assisting with checking people and assisting on the floor. We have never been here before even with our girl riding for the last few years, both English and western. Recently she decided to strictly focus on western riding and has been into all the "cowgirl" things so this store was right up her alley. So many things to look at, even I was overwhelmed (in a good way) just trying to take it all in. Everyone here is so friendly and we were asked a few times on the floor if we needed any help. After we signed up for their rewards program and checked out, the steam at the front of the door caught our eye. This has got to be one of the unfriendliest, non-customer service minded, out of touch in the boot world stores. If you are from outside this concrete jungle, you will know a boot store is one of the friendliest experiences you will encounter. Not here in Menifee. This store is run by a bunch of KMart dress ups, who have no idea what or how a boot is to be worn properly. They will ask if you need help, have no clue how boots are suppose to feel, then say just about anything to get you to buy them. And if you get home and realize they don't fit properly, they won't return your money, they will try to sell you more. And don't forget "We can order online".... Let these used car salesmen spend a day in a real boot shop, and experience what "Being fitted" really means..... They might see me there, because I won't be at a Boot Barn, that's for sure..... read more

Save yourself a trip to this location and head to the Temecula store. I bought boots for the first time originally from the Temecula location and they were so helpful, and educated me on boots, boot care, and what would be a good boot for me. Unfortunately I needed a half size smaller and were in menifee so I went to this location and what a difference. The workers were so rude and not helpful. I tried to make small talk with the older worker helping me and she cut me off and I felt like I was in the wrong for wanting to exchange boots for the same boot just a different size? She acted like I was unable to return. I asked her "can I exchange these?" And she said "yeah I guess I can do it for you." Just terrible experience for someone new to buying boots. Gas might be expensive these days but it's worth it to drive to the Temecula location. Ask for Tim! He's great. read more

Big fan of boot barn typically, however visiting this location was a big disappointment. We went in near closing time - 6:15pm they close at 7pm - we were mindful of that. Knowing exactly what boot we were going to pick up (Cody James Men's waterproof Met Guard Western Work Boot composite toe) we needed two pairs. My husband and his brother needed to of course try on two sizes to be sure which would be best they aren't inexpensive boots. For the entire 20 minutes we were there one of the men working there would not stop following us, a minimum of 5' away at all times. I'm not sure if we was worried we would take something or just wanted us to leave so they could close? either way it was very uncomfortable and we ended up leave before closing of course and empty handed. I had an associate from a different store call the Menifee store to put aside a top, Menifee had in stock. I arrived at 7:51pm, 9 minutes before closing. There are two associates at the front , the one counting the money tells the other to turn off the "open," sign as soon as I was in, I walk to the register, no immediate acknowledgment, until TJ (associate counting the cash) asks how he could help. I tell him that another store had called in to hold a top for me, I give him my name and brief description of the item, he voices it over the walkie . A third associate (Alejandra) comes over, rolls her eyes looking at me in annoyance and proceeds to ring up my item, she seems annoyed and asks what the name of the associate who called in the item was, I responded I did not remember. I felt very uncomfortable, they were very rude and if it wasn't that I needed the item for a gift I would not have gone out of my way to drive to this location to purchase it. read more

I had the absolute BEST experience today at the Menifee Boot Barn with Nathan! I brought in 2 vintage hats that belonged to my father to have them re-shaped. He took so much care to make sure he did each hat justice! He did an incredible job, and I appreciated his time and talent--plus his attitude was amazing as well! The store itself has a warm welcoming vibe. The employees seem to really enjoy their jobs and working with each other. I really wouldn't have given this location 5 stars if it weren't for Mikey. She is absolutely the best!! I ordered some boots to have delivered to the store. I had to go out of town. Mikey made sure that my order didn't get canceled and returned. So I got to the store to pick up my boots, only one person in the front working with a customer. Not sure if she was buying or exchanging, but cashier said she would be with me shortly. I wandered around for 15min along with a few other customers that came in after me. Mikey was working in the hats and saw me and asked if she could help me. I laughed and said yes when I saw her name badge, you're who talked to me last week about saving my order. She is absolutely the best employee that store has. She got my boots and checked me out. The cashier was still working with the same lady that was there when I came in. Came in on Monday to have my boots stretched I was told it would be 24 hours. It's Thursday afternoon and they still aren't ready. I told the workers I needed them before Friday and they reassured me they would be ready. Started with a quick phone call to see if they carried what I was looking for in store. The call it's self was full of laughs as the manager is filling in this location. I walked right in and was greeted and soon I had an associate helping me pick hiking boots. She told me about a few trails I didn't know of and helped me pick out a good pair of hiking shoes. Good looking store obviously newer a lot nicer than the boot barn in Temecula 1. It doesn't have the old nasty carpet that the Temecula one has and 2. The store seems bigger and a lot less cramped. I went in today for the Grand Opening. Fun festivities with K-FROG there and the spinning wheel of prizes (I got a koozie) First off, this store is beautiful! Lol, can a store be beautiful? Yes it can! Great decor, displays, and product!! And WOW, they were busy in there! The line to check out went way in back. I give HIGH PRAISE to the staff, they weren't even frazzled. I ordered a gift card online on 12/17 plenty of time to get to the store today 12/26 right!! The coupon they sent was for 25 bucks off of 100 dollar purchase which expires 12/28. Well long story short the gift card never shipped from the warehouse!! The lady said there was no activity after I ordered it!!! That sucks for my sons Christmas present! Ferris is fantastic and provided me with some of the best customer service I've ever experienced at any retail store! I went in on the hunt for Christmas gifts for my husband and realized I couldn't recall his particular size for the Carhart pants. Since I knew that he shopped there often I asked if there was any way she could see his previous purchases so I could make sure I buy the right ones. She did some digging and was able to find out what pants he purchases, helped me locate them and when her store didn't have the preferred color in the correct size she started to search surrounding locations. She spent more time helping me than most people probably would have and I greatly appreciate it! She even offered to gift wrap my purchase which went way beyond any expectation I ever had! I have now tried to shop here TWICE, and both times had horrible experiences. The first time, we needed help finding one boot (we found the one and wanted to buy it, could not finding the matching boot anywhere.) My daughter went to the front to ask for help and was told "someone working back there will help you." We walked around and searched for someone. No one. Waiting about 20 minutes. I then went up front and the said "can we get help in boots?" The girl snapped "I told her there's a girl working back that and to ask HER for help!" Needless to say, we walked out with no boots. The next trip, we knew exactly what we needed to buy, it was a necklace in the jewelry cabinet, just needed to grab it super fast. We came 10 minutes before closing, which I know can be rude, but like I said, we knew the exact single item we needed and we were in hurry as well... when we walked to the door, there were THREE women standing right in front of the door. They watched us walk up, and when my husband reached for the door, they all casually turned around and walked away pretending they didn't see us. The door was locked, but all the lights were on, and again this was 10 minutes before closing time. The excessively rude way that they all pretended to not see us after having watched us walk to the door was what really put me over the limit. I work in retail and can tell you, these girls are the WORST retail staff I've ever encountered. I will continue to drive all the way to Temecula before I will EVER spend a dime at the Menifee Boot Barn. read more
