    Cowgirl boot

If any of y'all need a cowboy boot repair, I HIGHLY recommend LB Shoe and Boot Repair in Lakewood, CO! I took my favorite pair of cowgirl boots in (I have owned them and worn them faithfully for YEARS) and they did an amazing job of re-soling them! I couldn't be happier. A worker by the name of Brian was wonderful, he explained what he could do realistically and offered me a fair price all things considered. I wish I had a before picture to show, but my boots were barely salvageable due to extensive wear and tear on the soles and heels. Brian was wonderful throughout the entire process. I will recommend this business to everyone I know who is looking for a good boot repair shop!

Brian is awesome. A true artist. I have brought a few things to him and he always does an excellent job. He recently repaired a rip in the facing of a Michael Kors handbag. He used matching saffiano leather and he made the stitching so perfect, he even inserted his needle into the exact same stitching holes that were already there. I don't know if he costs more than other shoe repairs, but if he does, it is totally worth it because he will fix it right.

DAMAGE SHOE - Picture of the black mark made on my expensive FRYE boots. Read my 1 star review.  BEWARE!

BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR EXPENSIVE BOOTS HERE HEED THIS WARNING! If you have an expectation of pride in work and ethical customer treatment steer clear from this cobbler. I took my $300+ Frye boots here for a simple heel replacement. One would think a heel replacement is an easy and harmless task. I have some distressed boots and should have asked that the side of the soles were not to be reconditioned. I could get over that but the bigger issue came when there was a black mark on the boot the same color as the "ink" or whatever they use to mark the edge of the sole. Brian proceeds to tell me that it was like that when it came in and denies any wrong doing. I wear these shoes every day and would have noticed a giant black mark on the side of the boot. He proceeds to go in the back and rub on the mark with some sort of cleaner. Gives it back to me and said, its just polish it will be fine when it dries. I head outside and can see that not only is the black mark there but he has now ruined the finish on the leather also. I proceed to go in and he says "what do you want me to do about it". No offer for a discount, no offer for a refund. I was simply offered an offensive claim that he did not do it and that he was going to do nothing about it. I even had to hold his hand and ask him for an apology... and they are free! Clearly there is no concern about satisfying your customers or pride in your work our you would have admitted to your mistake. I would not trust this guy with my worst pair of shoes to do the right thing in the event that something goes wrong. If you are fine with them damaging your shoes then take the risk. I will definitely tell others to steer clear from here. PROTECT YOURSELF TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR SHOES IN THE STORE BEFORE! You cannot trust this store.

This is his handiwork for a simple front stitching reinforcement. Three times, stitched and unstitched and now I have to get new boots.

I took my hiking boots (Columbia waterproof Redmonds, $90) to this store to reinforce the front stitching of one of them (the right foot) that was slowly peeling off from wear and tear. This is an extremely simple operation that I would have done myself if I had the proper materials, but nevertheless I took it to LB. He admitted it was a simple task too and offered to do it for $15, what's more is he offered to reinforce the left foot too which wasn't peeling that much, and promised to do all before Saturday! I left the store pretty satisfied and tipped him well too, bringing the cost to $18. When I picked up my boots, I saw the right foot was stitched pretty well, as I originally asked for. But the left foot was severely shortened at the front with the internal fabrics all folded inside rubbing against my toes. These are boots I take on 8hr+ hikes, I've never had them brush against my toes until his failed sewing attempt. I took it back to him, explained what was wrong, and he offered to undo the sewing and restitch them for free. Okay, fine. I later pick it up in a few days and I see he has stitched and unstitched the front three times and still the boot tip feels tighter than when I brought it to him. As another user mentioned here, he rudely barks "What do you want me to do about it? Give me an offer." Because of his initial mistake, the waterpoof integrity of the boot is compromised and I asked not only for my initial money back but more because now I need to get new boots. He haggles and agrees on giving me $50, which he throws on the table. All this back and forth cost me $12 in transportation, plus his $18 initial fee + tip, making it $30. So he refunded me the $30 and paid a measly $20 in damages that he did to a $90 boot. Maybe he is better with all leather boots and traditional cowboy boots, but he definitely could not do a simple sewing on mainstream hiking shoes. All in all it was a mistake for me to go here.

The best by far. I went into L.B. Shoe Repair and Cowboy Boots in May of 2019 to order a pair of my very own custom cowgirl boots. Feeling upset that I couldn't find a pair of boots that I liked at neighboring stores I stumbled upon L.B. The time that I spent at the store will simply never be forgotten since I have never had a better shopping experience in my life. Brian spent almost two hours with me while picking out my boots. We went through every last detail of the boot including adding my initials to the heel, something I never expected could be done. You could tell that Brian was extremely knowledgable about the product. I never felt rushed, pushed, or pressured during the process and I left feeling confident in the purchase I had just made. To this day, my dad and I talk about what a great experience it was being in this store, learning about the boots, and designing something I will have for a lifetime. 100% I will go back for another pair soon and I wholeheartedly believe that everyone should go to this store once in their life just to see and experience what a store and what customer service should look like. I have recommended Brain and Lucky Bastard Boots to all my friends and family back home in New York City because I really do trust him and the work he creates. My boots turned out beautifully and completely exceeded my expectations of what they would look like. I have received countless complements on my boots. Shipping was easy, and they arrived exactly when Brian said they would, 8 weeks later on the dot. Brian called me halfway through the process to update me on the coming of my boots and made sure I received them on time. I seriously can't put into words how amazing this place is, and how happy I am with the purchase I made that day. I will be back soon for another pair of boots soon!

Very knowledgeable and honest. Told me both pairs weren't repairable due to synthetic materials but still spent time explaining. Friendly!

Coming from Houston, I saw this collection, I have a local artist in Houston who was missing this NASA one for his collection. I took these 3 photos to send to him to see if he wanted me to buy it and bring it to his studio. The guy working the counter, loudly and in a very azzhole tone yelled at me in front of other patrons that they don't allow photos to be taken. I explained that it was being sent to a collector that will more than likely want me to pick it up for him out of Houston, guy again yelled at me. I asked how do they sell to people from out of town if you can't take a photo to which he responded "you can Facetime them... you don't have to shop here if you don't want to". He yelled that statement 3 times back to back to back... so I took his advice and went up the street and spend my money elsewhere. Avoid this place like the plague.
