I redownloaded the app to leave this review. This is one of those places you don't stay at unless you don't know better... and we didn't know better until they'd taken our money at 2am. Stains on the bed. Stains on the floors. Mysterious brown substance on the shower walls. Many of the room doors showed signs of being broken into which is not surprising because the guest access on the back of the building was not locked. The first room we were in smelled 100% like cat pee and the comforters had proved that a cat had been clawing the fabric. Thankfully they moved us one door down and the smell wasn't of urine, but it wasn't of cleanliness either. Complimentary breakfast if you like fake eggs. When it comes to hotels, all we're looking for is something clean and functional. This hotel was neither of those things. We stopped there for a night on our way to Disney. We walked into the lobby, which smelled clean but when we greeted the front desk clerk, he didn't say anything. He continued to type on his computer for his minute and then asked what we needed help with. It was a little awkward for a check in exchange but we got our room key and went upstairs. For any review stating the elevator ride was a little bumpy, that does the experience of the elevator a disservice. The jolt the elevator does each time it reaches your floor is enough to make you feel like you accidentally stepped onto the Tower of Terror. Very unpleasant and scary. We got into our room and first off, it smelled like stale takeout food. The fixtures and decor were not well maintained. We went to call down to the front desk to ask about a couple extra towels for our family but the phone wasn't plugged in. Only half of the switches for the lights worked. The refrigerator wobbled. The bathroom mirror frame was scuffed up and there was a huge rust stain in the tub. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal, the showerhead was low, and anyone taller than 5'8" is going to have a hard time with it. Our room was handicap accessible but the extent of access was a portable chair for you to put into the very normal, not large or lower-lipped tub. But perhaps the final straw for us was the fact that we gave our kid a quick shower and a short time later when it was time to get into bed, the bottoms of her feet were dirty to the point that we had to wipe our feet off with wipes before getting into bed. Lastly, the breakfast. We know it's complementary but it kind of feels like it's not even worth that much when everything from milk to eggs to forks and spoons were out. They had one employee who seemed to be responsible for both the front desk and replenishing the breakfast area. It took a few minutes for us to even see where she was to ask for some forks and spoons and when she did, all she said was "I'm coming." She didn't seem too happy to be there though honestly we couldn't blame her. 0/10, would not recommend. read more

Boy, we were luck to find this Comfort Suites in Brunswick. It was the only game in town. Our initial plan had been to drive from Asheville, NC to Savannah, GA and to spend a couple of nights in Savannah. What we didn't know was that this was the weekend of Savannah's big Irish Festival and they weren't any hotel rooms available. After trying 5 or 6 hotels in the Savannah area, we started working our way south on I-95 and still encountered a lot of "no vacancies". By the time we pulled in this Comfort Inn, we were almost resigned to sleeping in the car. BUT -- the Comfort Suites HAD ROOMS AVAILABLE and we checked in. The gal at the check-in desk wasn't overly personable but she was efficent and got us checked in promptly. The hotel is a little tired and shop worn but it was clean and very quiet. We both got a great nght's sleep. The free breakfast was adequate and my wife said the waffles were excellent - better than most hotel waffles. Overall, we were pleased with our accommodations for the night and would stay here again if passing thru on I-95 read more

NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD ENJOY STAYING IN THIS S**THOLE) I checked into our $130.00 plus tax 2 Queen Room at 12:20am and checked out within 20 minutes of arriving. Enough time to see how absolutely disgusting the elevator was, dirty & grimy walls in throughout the entire property & room, German Cockroaches on room walls(see all photos), male body fuilds on the unwashed bed cover, human blood stains on the bed sheets that were never washed, and mold through out the room. Literally mold on walls and ceiling. We only ended up reserving this property because it was the only one available due to hurricane Helene. This property is benefiting off peoples hardships and utter exhaustion from a natural disaster. I have contacted the Corporate Office, Health Department and BBB. Also, I disputed the credit card charge and will not be paying to this possible Hepatitis contraction hotel. -Room 325 Absolutely disgusting hotel and rooms! Personally, I had one of the worst experiences here. Firstly 90% of the time, the key cards won't even work no matter how many times I bring it down to the desk and reset them.. secondly that elevator was terrifying because every time you go up to the third floor, the whole elevator jerks a quite a bit and at first, it felt like the elevator got stuck. Thirdly, their gym bench was unsecure like it was loose completely, which is a serious hazard. Forth, one morning when it was like 7 AM and my family was still asleep, one of the staff members was knocking on our door, shouting "housekeeping "even though there's a sign on the door handle that says clearly "DO NOT DISTURB" but they couldn't understand that. and finally, when we got back from a buffet one night, we found out that their elevator was out of order so we had to carry my disabled Grandpa to the third story (there weren't any first floor rooms available.) And it was pretty terribleFor the pros, the breakfast and treadmill were nice but that's about it. All and all, I had a pretty terrible experience so I don't think I'm gonna be back to this hotel when come back up to Georgia. Now don't get me wrong, Comfort suites is an amazing company (mainly because it's the only hotel company I've been to), It's just this one hotel that did terribly. read more

I'm very surprised this hotel has even a 7 stars. Pictures online are Def way more better than the actual rooms themselves. Beds are several years old, when sitting on it, you sink into a body hole, and they try to cover it up with one cover. Very uncomfortable. They're was hairs all over the shower, I literally had to scrub and clean myself because if I didn't, my feet would've gotten athlete's foot. Only things good were the ac and TV. Bed bugs! Arrived 9/9 stayed one night; en route to FL for our family vacation. The evening of 9/10, my finger and arm began to itch and by 9/12, I was completely red & itched more than ever! I had the worst headache and couldn't sleep. On 9/13, the family suspected bed bugs, so I called corporate. They urged me to seek medical attention immediately & said they were contacting the mgr of the hotel immediately and they would call me back asap. That evening, I went to urgent care and they gasped at amount of swelling and redness & confirmed bed bugs. On 9/15, I still didn't hear from the mgr, so I called the location. The clerk said they don't know when the mgr would be in, seemed to have no concerns and took my info. We passed the hotel on our way home on 9/16, so stopped in. All of a sudden, that same clerk knew the mgr doesn't work weekends and would call me Monday. Corp notified the location on a Wed morning & the mgr didn't call Wed, Thur & Fri. Things happen, but the fact that I have not been contacted back on 5 days, is disturbing. read more

Whenever we travel we stay in comfort suites bc we have a large family (the rooms can sleep 6 people) and a business discount. We have been all over the US and normally have great experiences and it's why we continue to stay with comfort suites. Sadly, this comfort suites is severely dated. Don't let the lobby deceive you-the room and hallways are poorly kept. The pool is closed which was not stated on the website. Our room has a huge hole in the wall behind the door and all but one light in the bathroom was out-they hadn't replaced the bulbs. There is a weird smell down the first floor hallway and lots of box fans so they have had some sort of water problem or something they seem to be trying to hide with a fragrant wall plug-in...but the smell‍ Positive-the grab and go breakfast was great and the coffee was great! read more

We bought a tiny camper in Florida and drove back from there and started looking for a hotel coming up the road. We were very tired and really needed to find a place to stay as we took the Autotrain down to pick it up and did not get a lot of sleep on the train. Knowing what I know now, I would NEVER book this property again. When we pulled in, there was an unsavory looking gentleman that really should have been moved along by their security, but he was going back and forth across the parking lot. We had seen him at the Circle K which is in front of the hotel and he was acting strangely there....so as we pulled in, he must have walked to the hotel. I did not have the warm fuzzies. We have been to many hotels, Choice properties and otherwise and seen vehicles parked over a few spots...never an issue This camper with our SUV took three spots total. We parked and checked in and went to our room. Upon our arrival to the assigned room, we walked in a puddle of water at the A/C unit, lights were burned out in the bathroom and the toilet was running and would not stop. Being as tired as we were, we just figured we would deal for the night. About 90 minutes into our sleep, the phone rang and it was the desk telling us we had to move our vehicle into one spot. Now, given the fact the trailer may be teeny tiny, it's not going to fit in one spot.....but my husband got dressed and moved it in one to the best of his ability. This is not the sort of camper you can unhitch and just leave and mind you, we just bought it and haven't gotten everything that we need for it....or otherwise, we would have just camped in it. I do know that he apparently was uneasy about the conversation he had with the desk clerk and he was concerned our vehicle was going to be towed. Not something we wanted to do being Maryland residents and we need to get home. So we made the decision to leave. Mind you, we have a pandemic going on and this hotel is NOT overwhelmed with guests.....in total, there may have been 35 to 40 vehicles in the parking lot...definitely not sold out. On our way out to return the key, a desk clerk is talking to a customer about all the cars he had parked the lot just by luck.......what? The clerk is wearing no mask or anything. I think at this point all states have mandated that we need to wear a mask to squelch this business....but ok, whatever. I tell the clerk the issues with not only the parking but the room. I would have probably given them three stars, but never EVER have I seen anything like this. Hospitality is bleeding money and here we are willing to spend and we are treated like crap! We drove home pretty much on 4 hours of sleep we got at two rest areas and I spend 90 bucks at this property. Never have we ever had such an issue. It may have been a blessing as the clientele of the hotel were speaking loudly and shutting doors loudly. I know when my husband says *get up, we are going*, he's uneasy. I would avoid this hotel if you have anything larger to park and if you aren't happy with the room that you get, address it then....I wish I would have, but we were dead tired and in the end, we did not get what we paid for which was a night's sleep. I can tell you, I'm not happy. I am a long time Choice member and have a Choice branded credit card and I can and will speak with my cash. Choice just sent me a coupon for 25% off for when I am ready to travel.....I'll be using another brand for the moment I believe. read more

For the $105 plus taxes ($122 total) we've had much better stays at other hotels. This is honestly the worst hotel we have stayed at in over 25 years. This was one of the worst Comfort Suites we have had since 2011 when we started using them. I asked for mobility accessible room. What I got was a ground floor room. Thats it. No extra amenities to assist someone with a broken hip on a scooter and walker. Tub with very slippery bottom, low toilet, beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable, sofa was awful, room smelled musty, ac couldnt remove enough moisture so room felt very damp. POOL so cold we couldnt use it although I needed it for my physical therapy. NOT TODAY. Breakfast nothing to speak about. Good: front desk people are cheerful and cookies were good. This us the worst hotel I ever stayed at. A complete dump. I can't blame the person at the front desk. But who ever the hell runs and owns this piece of garbage. Needs to be reported to the CONSUMER REPORTS. I am so disappointed I wanted to cancel the reservation but because I was told it was a third party booking which didn't know. I paid $147 a night for this. When I heard other customers paying $89. That was upsetting. I can't get a hold of this third party but was hoping to get a discount at least. Comfort Suites surprised me with their nice rooms. This location may be hidden behind a convenience store, but it is easy to find. The room I had was very comfortable, and all the things you want. and expect. Clean, fresh linens, towels and a decent size room. There was a small fridge, a love seat, small desk, clean modern bathroom, and nice working tv with lots of cable choices. This location had an indoor pool that was in use, and a fitness room that I used. Only call out would be they need to get a new model treadmill, the current one had plenty of use and seemed older than the hotel. The breakfast was also good, with a hot egg protein, and breakfast meat. Or you could go for waffle, yogurt, etc. Service, ok at check in (she did her job). But for my business travel needs the Comfort Suites served well. read more

For the price it's good. Front of house staff is friendly. All rooms are smoke free. Parking is easy and rooms are functional. But the blinds don't close (at all) and the parking lot lights are so bright they make the bed as bright as day. Checkout is at noon but housekeeping gave a sharp knock on my door without even saying anything. And the bathroom smelled like B.O. or mold or something nasty. Hopefully they will renovate this hotel in the near future. read more

While the staff was pleasant, the room and overall facility didn't meet the Choice Hotel standard I'm used to. First, our reservation was incorrect in the system, even after talking to someone on the phone, at this hotel, earlier in the week. We were given a room with a King bed instead of the double queen room we reserved. While in the room, I noticed the floor was dirty and the bathroom didn't seem to have been cleaned efficiently. There was residue on the floor and sink counters. The toilet clogged anytime it was flushed-the front desk didn't have any plungers available because a lot of other guests were using them. There is a small indoor pool with a rusty handicap accessory that appears unable to be used. The fitness room has no treadmill and the other equipment is trifling. The outside of the hotel smells like a sewage dump, inflicting a nauseating feeling in my gut. Choice Hotels, do better. read more

We stayed over last night at this hotel at Brunswick GA. Upon entering the lobby it smelled of mildew and "old". The desk clerk was not wearing a mask or other protection at check in however we were. When we got to the king room it was small and you could barely scoot between the edge of the bed and the air conditioner on one side. There was a couch that wasn't uncomfortable. In the bathroom there were still two used wash cloths hanging and the body lotion was opened and used as well. This was disgusting. The desk clerk was made aware and said she would let housekeeping know. This is something the general manager should know and address. We would not stay here on our next business trip next month. This hotel did not measure up to the normal standard we are used to from Comfort Suites and Choice Hotels. read more

Awful. Stayed here for 5 days for work with a large group. Almost everyone in our 16 person group commented howtheir rooms were not clean upon arrival. Some had hair in their beds and bathrooms, dirty toilets, no TV remote (and no ability or offer to replace it),broken lights, foul smelling rooms, smoke odor in non smoking rooms and poor customer service. I had a taped remote that I needed to hold together in order to change TV channels, and my hair dryer was missing the on/off button (just a joke w wires inside). Two specific big problems I had; 1.) upon arrival, I attempted to check in (my employer booked 16rooms for our group), I was told there were no rooms available for me. The employee at the front counter told me unapologetically; "Youll be rooming with two other females in your group." When I asked if there are three beds, she told me no, but there's a couch. Astonished, I asked if she saw that I had a reservation. She confirmed she did see my group's reservation but that " things got all messed up". I told her although I am in the same group as the other 15 people staying here, I do not know them and would not be sleeping with two strangers in my room. (To top it off, she admitted the other two females did not know I'd be coming to stay with them- How do you expect someone to waltz into a room at 11pm when you're not expected?!?!) 2.) I utilized the computers in the lobby for a work document. Only to realize the internet wasn't working. I asked the front desk clerk for assistance and her response was "umm that's kinda outside my job description" When I asked if there was a internet router she could just TRY to reset, she said "I could, but I don't know what one it is.". Poor customer service. And this was a DIFFERENT employee from my check-in complaint!! I should also mention that when I told my employer about the three-to-a-room situation, they felt defrauded because he paid for everyone to have a room for themselves. I strongly believe the hotel would Not have refunded the money or made any attempt to mention this to the company who contracted with them. Lastly, the back and side doors do not lock. There's a key card scanner, but they remain open all day and night. Customers beware! read more

We stayed here for 3 nights in late June during my son's golf tournament. The hotel was nice, quiet and very clean. Our room had two queen beds, sofa, desk, refrigerator and microwave. The beds were really comfy with nice pillows. The bathroom was small but very clean. The hotel has an indoor pool. It was the coldest pool I've ever been in -- my teeth were chattering because it was so cold in there! The hot breakfast featured the standard stuff plus waffles, eggs, bacon and that white sausage gravy with biscuits. It is located close to the highway and it is the closest hotel to Jekyll Island. read more

When we arrrived in Ga to visit family with our 4 young boys and my mom for Christmas activities out at Jekyll Island the lot was empty. When my husband and I walked in the front counter worker CLARICE was sitting on her phone and didn't even look up at first. I told her we were there for check in (didn't see the time at first) and she immediately told us it's not 3 so she won't check us in. She didn't even look at her monitor to check if a room was available when I asked if there was a room ready. So we find something to do until family was done with their thing and could meet us. We went back at 3 and I walked in to her once again on her phone and never looked up. I said it's now 3pm and I'd like to check in. I asked if that's what they do, just sit there on the phone and not even check their computers and get paid for it (I was pissed by then with her customer service) She told me yes and if I didn't like my check in experience I could leave and stay at a different hotel. They have an employee there trying to turn away paying guests?! I told her the room is already paid and I'm not going anywhere bc I already tried to get refunded and change hotels already and couldn't. I just wanted to get my 4 kids out of the cold and into a room. She ever so graciously hands me all the paperwork and key card and tells me she already told me where to sign and what to put when I asked her what I need to fill out exactly (she didn't) so I signed and threw it back not caring if it was filled out correct. She refused to give me her name so I could complain about her and was not wearing a name tag so that evening I asked another employee and got her name.. When we finally got to the room I opened it and the room was completely under renovations. Room destroyed. HUGE hole in the ceiling above the ac unit. (I absolutely have a picture of that mess!) Thankfully a very nice gentlemen that was a maintenance worker saw me in the doorway on the phone with customer service pissed and was SHOCKED she put us there and went to tell her himself and got us a new room and room key....she was outside on her phone when my mother went to complain...go figure. She honestly told me she had no idea the room was like that. Do your job maybe and look at the computers. I tried calling to complain but you get the run around. We've stayed at this hotel so many times in the last bc it's close to family members house and right off 95 but NEVER EVER AGAIN will I stay there because of that one terrible employee mainly. The sheets in the rooms slide off while sleeping, one of the queens is so close to the ac that the rest of the room can't even cool down all the way bc it's blocked. The tv channels didn't work and had a line in the middle of the screen the whole time. The towels were dingy and looked as if they hadn't been bleached in awhile. Honestly we used to love this hotel and now the employees have driven it to the ground and we will stay elsewhere from now on...and we try to visit Brunswick as often as we are able too...Not worth the money you pay, maybe a motel 6 budget but definitely not worth over $120 a night. We stayed 11/29 and 11/30. The hotel itself is literally behind a gas station. Once we entered, we found the bed to be soft and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped to be handicapped accessible. There were bath chairs and stools in the bathroom. The room itself was clean. In the middle of the night our first night, the bed broke in the middle. We were so tired from traveling, we slept in the broken bed. We called the front desk, and the bed was fixed promptly the next day when the maintenance man came in. We had no problems with the bed after that. The pull out couch had no linens for the bed, and when we asked for some, we received a flat sheet only. The mattress of the pull out couch was covered in a heavy plastic, so the quality of rest was questionable. The pool was overwhelming with chemicals, and we couldn't stay in there for long. Also, the handicapped machine at the pool was rusting and paint was falling onto the floor from it. You could definitely tell the pool area had not been cleaned in a while. Also, the ceiling of the pool area looked as if it had been painted over haphazardly. read more

Nice place to stop in for a night on the way to or from Florida. The room was well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable with appropriate support and nice bed linens. Our TV did not work because someone had removed the cable box so the check out agent was going to provide some type of refund after the hotel's reservation system was back online. Well I was refunded $10 for not having a television, but was hoping for $20 due to the inconvenience, oh well! On my next visit I will make sure the tv works before I get settled. read more

Just checked in a short while ago After a 600 plus mile motorcycle ride. I arrived at 2:35 and was told I could not check in until 3 o'clock. I sat in the lobby until 3 o'clock at which time I Received My room key and proceeded to my room. When I opened the door I was Overpowered with with the strong scent of Perfumed Deodorizer. The old room accents were Accentuated By the torn curtain hanging from its rod above the window. But I had booked this room at this hotel because it was directly on my room directly on my destination route and it had a hot tub. After 12 hours on a motorcycle riding through cold and rain I was ready for that bubbly hot tub. At the hot tub there were no directions on how to turn on the jets. I literally had to walk completely around the hot tub and pool to the very opposite corner across the room to find an unmarked keypand an unmarks keypad on the wall. I guessed it was for the hot tub and hit the switch. Yea a bubbly hot tub just waiting for me. That is, until I stepped into the cold water in the hot tub. Thoroughly disheartened and frustrated I went directly to the front desk and complained. One of the staff members said that he had just replaced the Heating element but a fuse had also blown and it was on order. They were apologetic and at least offered an explanation That unfortunately did nothing for my despair. I return to my room with lots of taking a hot bath that unfortunately they quickly dissipated when I walked into the bathroom and saw the grossly corroded and rusted drain. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am. I call and complain about the status of the room but would it really make a difference at this point. This is the worst hotel stay of my life. I travel all over the Southeast playing in golf tournaments. We wanted a hotel with a comfortable bed and an exercise room so I chose the Comfort suites because I have always had a good experience in the past, even though the rates were double that of the recommended Jameson Inn. Upon arrival, we noticed the exercise room was closed with a plastic sheet over the door. The beds were soft and saggy and shaped like a potato chip. That night, while reading in bed, someone tried to get in the room and the security lock stopped them because they had a key. They left the door slightly ajar and left. The next morning I told the front desk person what happened and she was very apologetic and told me she would tell the manager. When we returned the next afternoon the door to our room was open. Fortunately nothing was stolen. I told the front desk again and she said she would tell management. I was asked to do a survey and I excoriated them on it and got a form letter back telling me they were sorry the hotel did not live up to my expectations. Other problems: Scum covered the indoor pool making it unusable, lightbulbs were out and the microwave had a plate in it so big, the door would not close. All in all, a terrible experience with the exception of the people who worked the front desk. They were very professional and very nice. The coffee was also good when it was hot. read more

Hotel under construction but rooms clean and comfortable. Staff downstairs very helpful. At 9 am housekeeping was shouting yelling screaming at each other I had to go ask front desk what time checkout was, 12. I thought it was a fight in the halls. Brooke PJ and I forgot the guys name they yelled. Other than that breakfast nice, hot shower, cold Ac and comfy bed. I didn't need to sleep all morning. I still have 500 miles to drive today. read more

This place was a disaster. There was renovation going on and that information wasn't on the web site. I have asthma and the dust had me gasping. It was everywhere. We arrived 15 minutes before check-in time, hoping to be able to change for our granddaughter's wedding, but they wouldn't check us in. And they were rude. Really rude. At check-in time, they told us the computer was down so they couldn't check us in. We objected and they admitted the rooms weren't cleaned yet. At 3 pm, the rooms weren't ready. They finally found a room, although it wasn't what we booked. However, they continued to be rude to us. Of the five lamps in the room, only two had bulbs. I wouldn't book here again even if it were free. read more

Rooms were clean but the hotel had a musky smell almost like mildew Unfriendly staff bedrail was sticking out of the bed and I hurt my ankle ruining my whole trip to Orlando still in bed for two days with ice on my foot would not recommend this hotel to anybody read more

Absolutely sh*thole. But you get what you pay for. Was stuck there after a conference and I should have just driven home tired. One notch above a roach motel. Cracked paint. Dirty carpet. Holes In walls. Yuck. Do Hampton in on Jekyll island instead. Muuuuuuuuch better!! read more
