This is the first time in the USA NOT have a hair drier in a room, I called to ask a front desk but even do not have extra for just in case. They charge almost 2 times than usual this week end and they charge moreover compared with other ones. But over all it looks like not a good motel. read more

I usually post negative reviews on hotels, but I must say that during our current stay here in Yakima, it is certainly worthy to notate a positive experience. To begin with, although the lobby is a bit dated, the inside is super clean. Our room had an updated bathroom, which was executed well. The room itself was also VERY clean, much better than some of the other CS we've stayed at. The location too, has easy access to eateries and wherever else you might need to go, thanks to the close proximity of SR 12. It's a 'no brainer' for us where to stay on our next visit to Yakima. read more

It's okay and good for the price. Staff are really nice, beds and pillows are comfortable, and I think breakfast was good enough for what we paid. Downside is there was a cigarette butt underneath the couch cushion when we went to make up the pull-out couch, the common floors and elevators could use a little cleaning, and our bathroom door was peeling. AND...something was stolen from our vehicle in the parking lot. We were not holding the property responsible for the theft but the fact that they don't have ANY cameras inside or out just didn't make sense to us at all. read more

Possibly the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. We had to place towels (which were surprisingly clean) over the floor to walk to the bed because the carpeting was so stained and soiled it has a tacky quality to it. We slept on top of the bedding and used our own pillows/ blankets because, based on the condition of the floor, we couldn't stomach thinking about what might have actually slept in the bed. Due to Covid the pool, hot tub and breakfast areas were closed. This information was not relayed to us when we called prior to booking. In all honesty it wouldn't matter if they had been open as we would not have utilized these amenities based on the condition of the room. Pics are of carpet. There was literally no unstained area of carpeting. Pic of the sink has hair from someone else. I did not get a pic of the bathroom door which appeared to have water damage all along the bottom which made me wonder if a possible flood contributed to the state of this room. We would have left as soon as we checked in but were exhausted after traveling all day and this was just a spot to catch a rest before continuing on to Seattle the next day. Finding other accommodations would not have been safe for us given the amount of travel we had done that day. I will say that the young man who checked us was nice. read more

Recently I've been coming to Yakima at least once a month for events that have required lodging. This past weekend's stay at Comfort Suites was by far the best experience I've had. The desk clerk really seemed to care about providing quality service, the room was great, the building (inside and outside) was clean and free of debris and the proximity to other businesses ie restaurants, grocery stores, etc was very convenient. Also, at night the parking lot was extremely well lit. I did feel like the price was a bit high for this level of hotel in this area but Previously I paid a lot less and was extremely disappointed. I'd rather slightly overpay and have a pleasant experience than the reverse. Side note: I booked on Expedia but then I looked on the Comfort Suite site and the prices were a little lower on Comfort Suites actual site. They also have a breakfast service that starts at 7:00am. I'd prefer it to be offered a tad earlier like 6:00 or 6:30. Usually, by 7:00 I'm up and on the road but that's just me. Maybe it was at 7:00 because it was the weekend. In summation, this Comfort Suites is going to be my go-to when in Yakima. For me, it's really close to one of the event sites I use and a half-hour from the other. The service and good night's sleep is well worth the extra drive time. read more

For the price you pay and location, the hotel took care of our needs while visiting Yakima for a tournament. The renovations are a nice update. The free breakfast provided a quick and easy way to feed the family before heading out to game time. Front desk service is friendly and efficient! read more

Pretty standard hotel... Although the bed and pillows were amazing! ...I wonder if I can pack 'em in my suit case?? Haha. I highly suggest staying here if you have pet. They are pet friendly with a little grassy area and pet dog station outside. The room were very clean and didn't have the pet-room feel to them. The indoor pool was pretty fun and clean. It's open 24 HOURS!!! Let me repeat.... 24 HOURS! That was probably the best part. They have a free breakfast hour with pretty good food.... but ends really really early. Boo. read more

Okay, I'm not saying it's a five star hotel, but for a hotel in its class, it gets five stars. Checkin a breeze. Counter staff extremely friendly and helpful. It's a shame that one of the things I initialed said I wouldn't vandalize the hotel (along with no unauthorized pets).....she said people do damage the rooms and steal things....what is wrong with people? Checked into this place with my four year old granddaughter and my one year old grandson, and their mother. Right off the bat, we found a pill on the floor and a suboxone wrapper underneath the bed. I took them straight down to the front desk. While I was down at the front desk, my daughter found a quarter a screw and a water bottle with something in it under the other bed. That was also taken directly to the front desk. Every one of those items would've killed this one year old baby crawling around on the floor. We had to request clean sheets because there was hair and obvious stains from the previous person who stayed here. The pillows smell like cigarette smoke. There was no Kleenex in the Kleenex box in the bathroom. 1/2 of the roll of toilet paper. We had to request new bedding, a vacuum cleaning supplies and spent over an hour cleaning this room just so my grandchildren would be safe. There was literally boogers on the headboard toothpaste splatter on the bathroom mirror and God knows what other bacteria in this room that was never cleaned. They simply pulled the blankets and sheets up tossed the pillows on top of them and called it good. We have not heard a single word for management about the drugs that were found in this room when we arrived. Next step will be corporate. According to the front desk, corporate was called but we haven't heard from them either. I will not stop with this one! My grandchildren could have died because of your laziness. read more

Came here because the red roof inn was a bad area to be in, and glad we did choose this place! The people were kind and it is more renovated. The rooms are up to date as you would expect from renovations and the area it is in is decent as there is a dennys and a sharis as well as teriyaki and a gas station. It's put in a convenient area and everything was walking distance. Rooms were spacious and nice, they are pet friendly, and complimentary breakfast is always a plus! Hopefully, 3 years down the road this place is still clean and comfortable! Would stop by this place for an overnight stay when traveling as its not that busy and it is relatively quiet! read more

I had to cancel a booking, which I did 5 days before the last day I was able to, but my refund wasn't issued by the hotel until 15 days later. I should have already received my money back, but now I get to wait another 3-15 days because, as the lady on the phone put it, it looks like we forgot to make the adjustment, my manager just did it yesterday. So while everyone is struggling with not working or having enough money, they simply forgot to give me my money back. What great customer service. read more

Comfort Suites is a lower mid-range hotel. It has a small indoor pool, a weight room and a breakfast buffet. It is quiet and somewhat removed...about a 10 minute drive from Yakima's downtown core. The rate is slightly high for the quality (about $160 for double double with a couch hide a bed); the rooms are a touch shabby & need some upgrading, but are very clean. We had 2 rooms across the hall from each other (311 & 310) so we got a good look at conditions. Also note that they're planning renovations this year. What saves this property is the staff. Shelley at the front desk is an excellent hostess - very welcoming, helpful, quickly explains the layout and amenities and just generally brightens the lobby. There's a lot to be said for that. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly. Free wi-fi is reliable and fairly quick. Free parking. read more

Very disappointed in this stay. We frequently stay at comfort inn motels and have had no problems until this one in Yakima. First thing was the shower not draining although as soon as I notified the front desk they offered to fix it immediately. For the most part the room seemed to be clean except cheetoes and wrappers under the bed. Then the bigger problem came. I was sitting on the bed waiting for other family members to get ready as I noticed a bug crawling across the sheets. I placed it in a cup and looked it up only to find it was a BED BUG! I took it to the front desk and they immediately switched rooms for me. My daughter had several bites. I called the manager on Monday to see if they acknowledged the problem. All I got was a bit of run around from the manager saying nothing found and bunch of excuses. Not even a sorry for the problems. Not only aggravating but expensive for medication for the bites and all the laundering before anything could go back in our house. Disgusting bugs and more disgusting attitude from the manager regarding the problem. Good luck if you choose to stay here. read more

Horrible. We stayed 2 months ago in a 'pet' room with our four legged family member. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, strongly. For example, when you open the door to the room, it immediately smells like cigarette smoke. I went down to the front desk, front desk person gave us 2 options, go somewhere else or take some industrial air freshener (we chose option #2 as we had to be at a wedding in an hour). Front desk person fails to note this on our account. Mgr lets us know the next day that she has a policy against refunding inadequate service. Offers us $25 off the bill. Horrible. read more

Definitely a fan of this newer hotel! The lobby is bright, cheerful, and clean. The reception was warm and friendly. Gave nice recommendations for dinner in town. Breakfast was plentiful, hot, and fresh with a good variety. The room was also very clean and smelled fresh. All the bathroom fixtures were new and modern and the linens were clean and fresh. The room was outfitted with a modern flat screen TV and there were plenty of outlets that included a USB charging station with plenty of outlets for my digital devices. All in all - I'll be back! This Comfort Suites had everything we were looking for: Comfortable bed and a separate living room for the restless sleeper. The property is in a quiet area of the city but near the freeway and there was a very nice family style restaurant within sight of the hotel parking lot, so two tired sightseers didn't have to go far to get a good meal. Wifi access was good and the breakfast bar met our needs so we could get an early start the next morning. The staff we encountered during our stay were all cordial and helpful. It was a clean, well cared for property and our experience was so different from that of two of the previous reviewers that I can hardly believe we were staying at the same place! (Maybe they listened to the complaints and made some changes) As for me and Hubby, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we are in Yakima. PS: It's pretty handy to Mt Rainier and I really want to visit there again! It is so beautiful! read more

Rooms and interior looks modern and clean although the neighborhood seems questionable. Probably the best front desk attended ever in the evening, she was friendly and engaged. If I could rate her alone I would give five stars and frankly she saved my rating. Breakfast was ok, basic eggs and sausage with cereal or waffle bar. Few issues would keep me from staying here again 1. Equipment in exercise room was barely functional and crazy loud, and the room is super hot, if you like a sauna with your work out 2. Both myself and co worker had fridges that made awful noise all night 3. The Keurig in the room is in the bathroom...umm I don't want coffee stuff in the bathroom eeew 4. Needs better insulation, you can hear car noise from street and frisky neighbors upstairs without much effort. 5. It's nice to find a new property on the west side of Yakima. I stayed just one night but it was clean and friendly. Nice room layout and amenities. This is my new Yakima spot when mom is already booked up with family. This is just what Yakima needed. With easy access to both White and Chinook passes this should be a prime spot. Very ghetto hotel. Found previous customers socks in my hotel room. I wonder if they even cleaned. Pretty expensive for such a dump!! Won't ever stay here again. Refrigerator doesn't even work, the pool's chlorine smell hits you hard the moment you step out of your car in the parking lot, and breakfast wasn't that great (mostly store bought cold stuff.) I'm in town for a conference. Because I registered late, the conference hotel was booked up, so I chose the Comfort Suites as an alternative because I've always had pretty good luck with this chain. This place is clean and quiet and just 10 minutes from downtown. Front desk service is great. Wi-fi is free and reliable. No complaints for $120/night during peak season! read more

Overrated. A high pitched beeping noise kept me up most the night, the hallways and stairs are completely torn up with drywall everywhere, and the cold water facet on the jacuzzi tub didn't work properly. The staff was friendly the room itself was decent. But you can get just as good or nicer for cheaper. read more

This is our second time staying here. we always get a jacuzzi suite. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The pool is open 24 hours and very clean. Our room is always spotless and comfy cozy. Would just like to give a kudos to Sandra that was taking care of breakfast this morning. She saw me getting breakfast for my husband and i to take back to the room and walked over and organized my tray all nice for an easier trip to the room.
