It was quiet, SAFE, and each room controls its own temps. The bed was perfect with FIVE pillows! The bedding was clean, and just enough. The breakfast area was clean. The coffee is super loaded with creamers sugars cups two different kinds of coffee and hot water. In the breakfast seriously had two different machines one making pancakes and one making waffles. Both were good. Heh. They also had cereal, eggs, and sausage that I was more concerned about the waffles. All in all it was worth the extra money to get a two dollar hotel, compared to a one dollar hotel. Definitely worth a try.

Maid service is only done every other day which we didn't realize until we came back to our unmade bed, dirty towels and no coffee. When we went downstairs to get our water we were told the two bottles of water were free but if we wanted water on additional days, there would be a charge. The place is in serious need of an update. The breakfast was abysmal. We ordered a veggie omelet and the waiter came over twice to clarify what I wanted on my omelet. What we both got was an overdone omelet stuffed with bacon, not one veggie in it. I then thought i would try the biscuit's and gravy, seriously, the biscuit could have been used to pound nails it was so hard. Every morning for three mornings I tried and they were always like rocks. They must just keep reheating the same biscuits over and over. The fruit was good, thankfully. The lobby was like a frat house. People had brought in Mexican food and were eating it all over the lobby. Kids were running everywhere, climbing on furniture and yelling. Then the traffic noise is super loud and keeps you from getting a good nights sleep, even though we had requested to be far from the street. All this for the price of nearly $250 a night. If you come to Yakima, there must be far better places to stay. I can assure you, it will be our last. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of one is the beds were fairly comfortable.

The Hotel Maison is very much a boutique hotel. Very modern and clean. We stayed here in Yakima…read moreafter seeing DMB at The Gorge. The good was that it was clean and very comfortable. The only real negative for the room was that the shower didn't have great pressure, and it squirted all over the floor because of the design of the shower. The only negative for the hotel for me was the group of people without masks in the lobby in the morning. State mandate is masks required indoors for everyone regardless of vaccination status. That was really disappointing that it wasn't enforced because these people seemed to be a part of a wedding that was occurring on site. I'm safe, because I'm masked but it's disappointing to see that the hotel doesn't enforce the requirement. Which makes me wonder if it is as safe as they suggest. Just a thought y'all. Overall, I'd definitely stay again next year after The Gorge!

The woman at the desk chastised me, telling me it doesn't open until 5am. I informed her the sign and hotel guide says 5am, and I only have an hour to workout. She says the sign is about to be updated in a very annoyed tone. How the heck would I know that? She finally reluctantly agreed to let me enter while telling me "the sign will be changed soon." Well, future me isn't here. Present me is, and I want to use the services as advertised. I will not be staying at this hotel again. Poor experience, especially given I'm a Diamond member. F-

My small suite was quiet, and the balcony overlooking the river was a nice place to sit. Layout wise, I didn't like how the TV was back behind the desk. I like to watch a show while eating breakfast and checking email to start the day. Bed and pillows were comfortable, which helped me feel refreshed for the next day. My co-worker and I arrived early and our rooms were not ready. That's fine, but there is no real business center for us to set up and do a couple hours of work on our laptops while we waited. Plenty of greeting room-type seating and knee-level tables, but nothing really functional. We would have had to rent a business space to get an outlet and a reasonably ergonomic table. The evening reception was very basic but nice experience. The breakfast was basic (scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a meat) with a few other things - but very salty. It is plated for you, so it takes something away from the buffet style of getting what you want. My co-worker, on the other hand, had a very unpleasant experience in a room that smelled like dirty dog trying to be covered by strong chemicals. He suffered through it because it was only one night.
