As a woman I feel that this company is very disrespectful and sexist when it comes to selling there products through door to door salesmen. They have some nerve asking if the man of the house is home, because they rather speak to him, about the product they're selling than me. Definitely will not be going to use this company when we decide to buy new windows. Retraining needs to be done ASAP about how to approach a home. I'm not sure what era these salespeople are living in, but going door to door in suburban neighborhoods in 2023 is not a thing anyone wants to deal with. We work from home and don't appreciate the salespeople approaching us three times this year. That's absurd. If someone says no, take them off your list for that year; don't go back every two or three months to see if they've changed their mind. By the way, we all have the internet here and can read your horrible reviews, so that's another hard no from us. read more

I would leave a negative review if I could, because this business simply will not take "no" for an answer. They have been attempting to solicit business from me for nearly a year, and will not acknowledge that I have said I have no interest in giving them business, for anything. It was a completely awful experience. March 14 I was scheduled for an install of 4 windows at 8am after waiting 6 months for them to be made and this appointment to be scheduled. 10 am still nothing. Called the company and they told me they had truck problems and would still be here by 1. 1 o'clock same thing. This happened several times. I kept getting told they were on their way. Mind you I had surgery scheduled for the next day!!!! Finally about 5 pm they arrived. 2 guys. Worked for an hour and one guy left. Then an hour later the rest showed up. The job didn't get finished and my house was left disheveled. On top of it one of my new windows got broken. Along with an old window getting smashed and broken glass was left all over when I have 4 children. Mind you again- surgery on the 15th. On the 17th they came and cleaned up and finished the windows while I was in so much pain and recovering from surgery. It was such an inconvenience to have them banging around when I wanted to rest. Oh wait. They gave me a 100 dollar gift card for my inconvenience. That doesn't even cover the day of lost wages waiting around for them on the 14. It's basically a slap in the face after spending as much money as these windows cost. I've been told my new window won't be in until April 5 and then they will schedule when they can come put it in. WHAT AM I PAYING 10 THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR?!?! A name. That's it. read more

I honestly was shocked at what poor quality business we received from the Rochester-based crew. We were scheduled to have a representative come out on 11/30. I waited 45 minutes but nobody arrived or called. I called the office and the person who answered apologized and said the representative assigned to our home called in for the day earlier for a family emergency and that the office "dropped the ball" in following up with me to let me know (aka just straight up No Showed a new customer originally willing to invest in a quality product). Said something about how someone cleared it in the computer on accident so I wasn't notified? They acknowledged the mistake was a big one and was embarrassing to their company, so offered to send the Sales Manager out to make things right. I was hesitant (past behavior predicts future behavior...) but allowed it for the next day explaining I needed a solid deal to be willing to give it another try. Sales Manager showed promptly as scheduled and was professional. Told us he'd email a formal quote and we had until the end of the year to decide on it. ...that was 12/1, today is 12/29, and I have received no communication or estimate. They clearly do not want the business and very clearly are not nearly as professional as they claim. Buyers beware and consider investing elsewhere. read more

Initial Frustration; Ultimate Satisfaction I ordered a Polaris door and sidelights from RBA of WNY at the end of 2017 and it was installed in March/April of 2018. The first sales call was great but we didn't purchase anything until the 2nd sales call when a bigger discount was provided. The rep, of course, tried to up-sell windows to us, but we declined. When the door and sidelights were installed, they were the wrong color and the privacy rating was MUCH less than what I was told it would be. I was EXTREMELY frustrated. In addition, the door itself was warped and there was condensation in between the panes of glass. RBA of WNY was responsive to my complaints and eventually I ended up with EXACTLY what I wanted and am so happy with my purchase. If I had purchased the door elsewhere, from a company that subcontracted the installation, I doubt I would have gotten the problem resolved (sales would have tried to blame the installers and vice versa). Everyone in the RBA organization was responsive, prompt, and understanding. While mine wasn't a big job for them, they made me feel as important as if I was their #1 client. read more

Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about this company. I had several windows and doors replaced. The windows are fine. The doors on the other hand what a fiasco. Basically I threw out thousands of dollars. There was no improvement in temperature of the mud room that the sales person specifically said there would be. The fire door to the garage never closed properly and is several thousand dollars more than competitors. Given the high costs I would have believed that this product would be far superior to others. I would never recommend this company to anyone else and frankly I would tell them to run away. If I was running this outlet of Anderson, which I'm originally from MN so the company means something to Midwesterners, I would fire all management and start over. read more

I was so upset with my experience. The appointment started off well but ended up being 2 hours which I think is very excessive. People should be informed of how long it could take. This was around dinner time and I felt it was rude of him to take that much of my time. I felt that Christian was being too pushy at the end after I told him from the start that this is something I did not want to do right now. He tried three times to get me to purchase the windows. I felt that I was being taken advantage of because I am a young single woman. The quote of over 20,000 for 9 windows is absurd. I didn't even see a breakdown of the prices. I feel that my concerns were not respected since I told him I am a single parent and that new windows were not in my budget. read more

We called for a quote to replace a broken window. We have Anderson thermopanes. The salesperson tried to sell us windows for the entire house. After the long presentation, he said it would cost $4,000 to replace the one window. It was only 32x 56. Ridiculous! If they were reasonable, we would buy,but that quote for one window was ridiculous. read more

Salesman came to our house, and then spent 3 hours trying to get us to sign a contract that day. When it became evident we weren't going to until we had time to think about it, he came up with the offer that if we would agree to become a "Portfolio" house, he could get us the windows for close to cost (even though he couldn't tell us what the actual price was). The catch being that we would have to replace all the windows in the house, not just the 5 we wanted to (which by the way we were quoted $9800 for 5, 54" by 36" windows). read more

I agree with Lois F. The pressure was to the point of rudeness. While I only spoke with someone over the phone and not in my home, I was barely allowed to speak other than one word answers. The questions asked were, do you have a spouse and are you on the deed? Then he kept insisting they do estimates for more of my windows. I only wanted two of my old large Anderson windows replaced so they refused the job and said that they were only considering jobs with five windows or more. I posted my experience on social media and since then both my friends and I have had great experiences with other companies. So there are options. Don't settle for this kind of treatment! read more

Third visit from salespeople in about 4 months. They came after dark and they would not leave until we told them to get off of our property and threatened to call the police. They insisted they had a permit to go door to door even after we explained to them that the permit did not give them permission to trespass after they had been asked to leave our property. We will be complaining to our town about giving them a permit. Needless to say, we aren't going to be buying any Andersen windows EVER. Too bad they have such crap sales tactics because they have a decent product. read more

I have 13 year old Andersens and they are by far the best windows that i have in my home they are still like new. the installation was very quick they worked with me around my schedule i would recommend them to anyone already told my neighbors !!! read more
