Dr. Polushkin is an OUTSTANDING dentist! But of equal importance, he is an honest, kind, genuine person with a great sense of humor. Additionally, his staff has always been helpful and courteous. I am very fortunate as I am not someone who is afraid of going to the dentist, but I can honestly say that it's probably because Dr. Polushkin has been my dentist for at least 15 years now and he makes the whole experience fun. I usually do back to back cleaning appointments with my mom, and she always comments that she can hear me laughing down the hallway while she is waiting for her turn. In my experience it is as pleasant as going to the dentist could possibly be. Even parking is easy, as there is a large lot behind the building and it usually costs less than $5. And there is free street parking available as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you give Dr. Polushkin a try!! read more

Dr. Polushkin is a delight! I found him through Delta Dental's website, and his office was very polite and professional when setting my appointment for the very same day. His assistant was very gentle and did my x-rays in no time flat. Dr. Polushkin did my cleaning, and his assistant did the polishing. His laid back demeanor and friendly attitude made this a very enjoyable visit. I will pay for those extra cleanings just to keep going back! He's friendly, makes me feel comfortable and always puts me at ease (even while getting shots or fills). A few years ago, I needed some cavities filled. I had so many (thanks braces!), that I needed to go on 2 separate occasions to get them filled. After the first few fillings, I complained to Dr. Polushkin that one of the teeth that had the filling, was feeling quite sensitive. Instead of brushing off my complaints, and saying something along the lines off "oh it happens, you'll get over it, " Dr. Polushkin researched, and found some ridiculous 8 step procedure to be used when filling cavities that prevents this occasional side effect of sensitive teeth. And during the whole procedure....not once did i complain about pain. Even when numbing your mouth, he managed to find a way to do it that avoided the whole pain issue. That's the kind of dentist Dr. Polushkin is. He is constantly researching and studying the field, so he is always on top of his game. He is quite patient, and extremely gentle when working on you. To this day, i still go to Dr. Polushkin for all my dental needs - cleanings, bleachings, etc - and always come out of his office satisfied with his efficient, quick, and professional work! read more

From the moment I made my appointment with Dr. Polushkin, I knew I made the right choice. The whole staff was exceptionally nice and very pleasant to talk to. Rose, the receptionist, made my visit very welcoming and explained my visit thoroughly from the parking situation to how long the visit will take. The level of professionalism along with the friendly warm environment impressed me. As I meet with Dr. Polushkin, after my X-ray, I was also meet with a warm smile. As he was examining my teeth, I became a bit nervous to hear how bad my teeth were. To my surprise, I was not lectured on how bad of a job I was not taking care of my teeth but he was genuinely concerned about my teeth and was objective about the whole situation. Unlike my past experiences I would be scolded like a child and told to take better care of my health. I was very appreciative of Dr. Polushkin's approach. I was also impressed by his gently approach as he was cleaning my teeth with the water machine. (I'm a big baby when it comes to pain and hearing the teeth being scraped.) Overall it was a great experience and will be coming back next month to get my teeth fix. Yay! I am so happy to have found them. :) read more

Thy never answer their phone! So this makes it really hard to even schedule an appointment. They don't do xrays, check up and a cleaning all in the same day, which means you have to go tree at least twice. I decided to go back to my other dentist a couple months later because I wasn't happy here. This Doctor seemed to have more important things going on than his patients. A couple months later my dentist found 4 cavities while this Doctor didn't find any. read more

I moved from Century City to the valley a year ago and when it came time for my yearly visit I really didn't want to drive all the way back down the hill. I asked around a friend told me about her dentist, so I figured I'd give it a try. What a great decision, I'm truly no longer scared to visit the dentist. My cleaning was quick and painless, I even had 2 cavities, received a shot in my mouth for the first time ever and didn't feel it! I was in and out of there and I've been back several times since. I was originally referred to Comfort Zone Dental by a friend who had nothing but good things to say about Dr. Polushkin. My first visit was back in 2008 and what really impressed me the most was the office manager, Rose. she was very pleasant on the phone and even more so in person. She was professional, respectful and always had a smile on her face. Dr. Polushkin took good care of me and didn't try to oversell me on services I didn't need. I didn't experience any pain or discomfort and decided to make Dr. Polushkin my permanent Dentist and scheduled my next appointment in 6 months. Rose said she would send me a reminder notice just in case I forgot. I realized after about 8 months went by that I did forget about my appointment, but I never received that reminder notice. When I called the office the woman that answered the phone sounded pissed off and was very short with me, like she was having a bad day or something. I asked if this was Rose and she said no this isnt Rose, she doesn't work here anymore, did you need something" I said no thanks and hung up. I didn't like her attitude at all, and decided to go back to my old dentist. I really liked Dr. Polushkin but the receptionist left a bad taste in my mouth. In October of this year I received a call from Comfort Zone Dental. The message was from "Rose" and she was wondering why I never returned for my appointment back in 2009. She asked me to contact her at my earliest convenience. When I called the office the first thing I asked was if this was Rose from 2008. She said yes and told me she had been going back through all the patient charts and noticed that I hadn't returned and wanted to see why. I explained that I was disappointed with the receptionist that replaced her and she apologized for that and asked if I would be willing to come back to Dr. Polushkin. I said yes but only if SHE was going to be there. Rose promised me that she wasn't going anywhere so I scheduled an appointment. Based on the very first impression that Rose had left on me I had no problem switching back to Comfort Zone Dental. They have a beautiful new office in Burbank that has a great view of the hills and Warner Bros. Studios, and Rose was there greeting everyone that walked through the door with a smile. I can tell that she really loves what she does, and it's amazing how one person can make such a difference. Dr. Polushkin is a great Dentist with a great staff that really care about their patients, and that's hard to find these days.
