Thank you everyone working here! I called on a Wednesday afternoon for my mom's dental emergency. I spoke with Martha, who took her time explaining everything to me. She was extremely patient as I asked to call her back several times with more questions. She even 3-way called my mom with me to answer additional questions she had. Martha was able to get my mom in ASAP. At the dental office, everyone was extremely patient and caring with my mom. Martha came to personally greet my mom and worked with her to get her the best pricing since she was paying out of pocket. The dentist was very kind and welcoming and really put my mother at ease with her dental emergency. Sadly, I once again have to give a one star review on a dentist. My appointment was for a routine check up and cleaning. My last dentist retired, and he was a friend of mine. I choose this office because of the reviews here on yelp. After getting ex rays the Dentist comes in and the first things he starts saying is I need to replace several crowns, and barely looks in my mouth and says I have all kinds of problems on my right side but my left side is ok. He wanted to do a deep scaling. I don't know this guy, and before I have a new dentist start making my gums bleed it would be nice to have just a cleaning on my very first visit, nope, he doesn't want anything to do with that, he recommends the scaling and won't just clean. I walked out of the chair not wanting to spend $300 over my insurance. Let me ask anyone who goes to this dental office this...do you always pay something over the amount your insurance allows? If you do, then this place may be a graduate of the seminars that teach dentists how to skim extra money off their patients with frivolous stuff like fluoride treatments that do nothing, or over evaluating your condition to inflate the costs. read more

Wow! First let me say, a better crew you won't find. The staff is great, Dr. Arsen Nasloyan is FABULOUS, and the dental care is the best I've ever had in my life! If you've been fearful of going to the dentist, fear no more. In the past, just getting numbed before any procedure caused me so much anxiety, I'd start to feel woozy. What amazed me is that Dr. Arsen, that's what everybody calls him for short, can go straight in your mouth with the needle & you only feel a tiny pinch. That's it! And he numbs your mouth in such a way as you never have "mush mouth," you know where you can't speak right, that doesn't happen here. I never thought that was even possible! Yet you are perfectly numbed for your procedure! Add to that, he's quick in that I don't think I've been there for more than 90 minutes even for root canal! And don't even get me started on what a nice man he is! You will not find a more personable human being! In fact, the entire staff is wonderful! I've got my whole family going there now, and we all swear by them!! No doubt you will too!!! read more

I don't even know where to begin as I feel so lucky to have come across not only the best dentist ever in Dr. Arsen but to his Amazing staff as well. I have been going to Burbank Valley Dental now for a few years and I always look forward going to the Dentist instead of being scared or afraid. Martha and staff are always very pleasant to talk with and are more than willing to help out with any of your needs or concerns. The staff is always very accommodating to your needs when it comes to making your appointments as well as very informative and explaining in detail about your insurance and coverages and so on and so forth. They really make you feel at home and treat you as part of there family ever single time you go there. Now as to Dr. Arsen himself I'm literally speechless as to just how kind of a Dr. he is, not to mention of just how knowledgeable he is in his practice. He has never been one to just be so quick to get you in and as quick as he can so he can just to move onto his next patient. It's quite the opposite as he is there to not only help you with your dental needs but also takes the time to talk and listen to you about anything you need to say. His techniques are little out of this world! Dr. Arsen is always so gentle to his touch as you literally never feel a thing. In the past I have had the worst experience when it comes to going to the dentist and having anything done as I have always been in pain while being in there care and always felt uncomfortable in the chair during any procedure. Quite the opposite with Dr. Arsen as I have always had the most pleasant experience with any procedure that I have had done. His work is absolutely incredible and one that makes you feeling most proud when you leave his office. Going to the dentist after waiting 5 or more years is always intimidating but I know I needed more work done and badly in need of a cleaning. After talking to them over the phone and in person finding that my insurance was covered, after a no go at two others I looked at, I made a visit today. Dr Arsen was able to give me some good information about work I had done but that we really needed maintenance on it, which I hadn't done since I wasn't around for the last 5 years at any dental office. He was super friendly and courteous at explaining everything, and the front desk and all assistants in the office, from setting future appointments to getting my deep cleaning done right away, we all awesome. Cleaning went well and looking forward to coming back to get the other few things I need taken care of here. Great first visit! read more

As everyone else has said, Martha is a delight so I did definitely want to give a star to her! If you have issues with your dentist office's staff, the staff here are great and super nice. I have some friends who go here regularly and they say they have had some last-minute appointments as well, so if you're in a hurry, don't hesitate to call. The dentist I will say isn't that great (I have multiple dentists in my family in different states, so my experience is pretty varied) - I had him mess up a couple of fillings for me that I had to get redone (I've never had that happen at any prior dentist before so it was a pain - they hurt over a month after he filled them). My jaw also hurt for 3 weeks after his injection, which has also never happened to me with novocaine before - not sure if it's the type they use or his methods, but I wouldn't go back or trust him again to do that. He was super nice though, so if you're looking for someone nice and quick in the area, I'd recommend for that, and definitely for any basics. I don't really like pain at or after the dentist, so I am switching who I go see, but just a fair warning that this did happen to me. I will also say they do try to upsell a little, not too much but every dentist in LA does this in my experience with two others in the past (I've only switched so many times because of moving, not because the others were bad dentists). I am always hesitant to try new dental places because I have had bad experiences in the past, I came here because I was recommended by a close friend. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Zulema and Martha at the front desk... they were honestly the nicest and helped me with any questions and paperwork I had to fill out. I then had to get some X-rays with Casey and he did such a good job! Then I met Dr Arsen, let me tell you this was by far the best dental experience ever! I'm terrified of going to the dentist. I realize now it's because I have spent my whole life going to dentists that weren't like Dr. Arsen. Although I'm still terrified to go and my nerves get the best of me (I swear it's PTSD from terribly painful past experiences, especially in my childhood), Dr. Arsen and his staff do a great job of calming my nerves when I'm actually there. I'm always very honest about how much of a weenie I am and they don't make me feel like I'm nuts for it. During procedures, he is super gentle, accommodating, and always checking in to make sure I'm comfortable and not in any pain - which I appreciate a lot because like I said before, I'm a big weenie when it comes to pain. I've had two root canals done by him now but he has made me a customer for life. The prices are reasonable and they take Care Credit if you need it. I have broken my tooth and was walking with it for more than a week. First, it is impossible to schedule an appointment with a dentist, nowadays. I have a dental insurance and I went to a doctor within my network. I had to wait for an appointment for a week. Second, prices are insane. The first clinic was gonna charge me almost 5k for two teeth replacement. They told me my tooth can't be saved and I need an implant. I tried to find other clinic within a network but everyone were booked for weeks. I spent hours calling clinics within my insurance until I got frustrated and decided to call the closest one to me. I glad I found Dr. Arsen. He saw me the same day. He saved the tooth. And, even though they don't accept my insurance, I still ended up paying twice less than I would have paid to the first clinic. BUT most importantly, everyone in the clinic, from Martha at the reception to Dr Arsen, actually cared about me as a patient. Dr Arsen medicated a tooth the same day so that infection doesn't spread and took care of the rest within a week. The infection could have gotten to the bone and eventually to the brain so he saved my life, without exaggeration. Not bad went in there to get a tooth fixed for 200 bucks ended up costing me 800 found another tooth that was needing fixing which I couldn't believe so I had a root canal 600 bucks more so I spent 800 bucks I guess he spent that at any Denis the guy was pretty pretty nice I had to go back a second visit but it's a clean place if you need a Denis and don't know when I would recommend it or usually go to USC school of dentistry to get my teeth fixed anyway because they take my insurance and it Cost a lot less but you may want to try them if you're in Burbank or in pain and need a Denis quick read more

I was in a lot of pain from my wisdom tooth and I called and they were able to get me in the same day AND extract the tooth. They were very kind and explained everything very thoroughly. Most of all, I'm just impressed with how fast they got everything done. Life savers. Thank you. Also, it cost $45 for the consultation/X-rays but they included it with the price of the extraction if I went through with it that day. First off Martha's reason I'm even writing this review! (Dr. Arsen, don't worry po u part is coming ) Seriously he is amazing. So here I am thinking I can get same day service at the snap of a finger. (Sounds horrible) I called at 4 in the afternoon on a Thursday, after calling at least 10 other places. Martha picked up the phone told me they couldn't do anything except kill the nerve and do the root canal, the hardest part, another day. I got off the phone so sad, thinking I can't go on in pain, I have to get this taken care of now! I called a couple other places, they alm said no! Not even 15 minute later I got a phone call from Martha letting me know that she can fit me in. So Dr Arsen comes in, he's amazing, and his skin is perfect, he won't tell me the secret on how he looks so young, but it's all good! Set bedside manner was superb, extremely nice and patient. NOW I AM NOT A FAN OF THE DENTIST! I AM SO ADD IT'S HARD FOR ME TO SIT DOWN! Needless to say pain in the ass to get me back she saw the clown but after many missed appointment, all at my own fault oh, she got me in there to do it!!! Avoid this place! Now let me say the dentist himself I'd give maybe a 3 star. Not the best. Not the worst. But the staff are a nightmare! The dentist here told me I needed a crown (roughly $800 after insurance) and said he could do a filling for the other (I was replacing a filling between teeth that had been mildly bothering me. ) By doing the replacement he made it worse. Much worse. And then said I needed a cap. That was the reason, that he had done everything correctly. No question. Now I will say this about him, after complaining, he did refund me. Which is why I would give him 3 stars. He was a nice guy, just not the right dentist for what I needed apparently. Granted what I needed was pretty basic. AS FOR THE STAFF: incompetent, rude, lazy. I had to ask five times for them to send me an email with my x-rays so that I could send them to the new dentist. Every time she said she would send them right away. I never got them. Then on the day of, the lady had told me that she would send it to my new dentist. Now luckily they ended up not needing them or else I would still be waiting to this day. These people eventually sent me the specific area that was a problem x-ray. But they refused to give me my up-to-date full x-rays because they already gave me x-rays from the previous one I had done prior to them messing up my tooth. And it took me 5 tries and after previous conversations of her saying she will send them right away, she said she would have to charge me. TO SEND X-RAYS I ALREADY PAID FOR! (Also, why couldn't she have told me that in the other conversations?) She also said that it would take too much effort to send me them. (AKA: we know you left us, and since we won't be getting any more of your money we won't help you) These guys are shady and incompetent. Oh and btw the new doctor I went to fixed the situation very quickly and on the first try. And no, I didn't need a crown like this doctor swore I needed. No pain at all anymore. It ended up costing me $100 to fix a problem he wanted to charge me much more for. But, Specifically they need a new person in charge of billing. She has no idea what she's doing and no sense of customer service. STAY AWAY! Edit: per the response. Yes they sent me x rays which is what I said. Apparently they can't read. What I said is I wanted the UPDATED x rays. Which they refused. Only after saying they would send them multiple times and either not sending them, or the times they sent them to a wrong email. Keep in mind THEY HAD MY EMAIL! But apparently they couldn't read well just like they aren't reading this well. Lol And no you didn't send them in August. You sent one x ray for one specific x ray, instead of the entire set. She also incompetently sent them to a wrong email. So there's a very real possibility that she may have sent them but sent them to the wrong email because she had done so already two previous times Man these guys are incompetent.
