We are coming back to enjoy a show this Friday so I will return with an updated rating. For my main meal I got steak frites and they were delicious. I really appreciated finding a seat and getting greeted fast on a very busy Saturday. We couldn't make it in time for a reservation at another restaurant and this place was accommodating . No live music yet but the music on the speakers wasn't too loud. It was just a band that it was getting ready to play. When it came to food Nothing extraordinary but the service was very nice. We ordered the sample platter and some wings. I really enjoyed the empanadas but those wings could've use a little bit more love from the kitchen . Not bad. read more

Comix is actually a pretty cool place to hang out. I have been a few times before concerts - there's usually a live band playing and the bartenders are cool. This week a few friends and I opted to dine here before heading to the arena. We had our 5:30 reservation and an excellent table. A few of our group rode the bull and we were having a good time. Now let's get to the frustrating part: I understand we are in a casino and prices will be a bit higher than normal. Our waitress suggested we try the 28 dollar sampler (see photo). It is what it is - let's move onto our dinner... Everyone is eating and the food is decent. 6:20 ish (LESS than one hour after our arrival) our waitress walks over and tells us we need to settle up because her shift is over and she is going home. She closes us out and the busser tries to take our food while we are STILL eating! This happened twice where I had to snap back and ask him to put the plates down. Waitress runs the card and we now have to head towards a crowded bar and get our own drinks. As someone who was in the restaurant industry for 2 decades, I have NEVER heard of anyone doing this. Yes, emergency situations happen but this was not one. Have someone cover your table or transfer it. Extremely unprofessional!! A few hundred dollars later and we left the establishment. I guess I should've walked out with my experience with the hostess. She was watching her phone. I stood there for 1min before she looked up. Then she brought me to a table didn't even say anything I asked for a booth and she goes well normally there's a booth we save it for four people. There was only eight people in the whole place and seats probably over 100+ And the food it's it's a comic it's a joke the burnt ribs tips I had were so bad I couldn't finish them, and the french fries were drenched in oil where they were practically yellow not at least a little white. The only good experience was the server. She was really nice and kept checking on me, but if I was the management I'd really look at not doing fried food tastes like straight out of a microwave. However, they cook it but they definitely need to change the oil in their fryer. read more

We were having fun laughing at his jokes and saying how funny the comic was during the show. We were given the tickets to enjoy ourselves with friends and support local businesses in the chamber. Reaked of liquid smoke and tasted the same. - Empenadas- super small, over fried, and filled with a mystery meat. - Tater Tots- edible. But who screws up tots? - Queso- horrible. Runny and tastless. First time visiting this restaurant. It was Saturday night with a huge event going on in the arena as well as smaller events throughout the casino. Needless to say the casino was packed First let me compliment the team at the front end. Two gentlemen welcomed us (2 adults 1 child) at the doors asking if we had reservations. We stated we did not and they said not to worry he'd make sure we got a table. The young girls at the check in table were very kind and also ensured they'd get us a table even through they were packed. Sure enough they did! We waited about 2 minutes. Super amazing job up front guys. We were seated and the atmosphere here is great. Good lighting and plenty of TV's with sports and entertainment. The waitress, Diana, came over and took our drink orders pretty quickly and was very nice. She was handling a bunch of tables, maybe they were short handed this night? With that said service was a bit slow but the place was jam packed so it's very forgivable. We each got burgers and the child a pulled pork sandwich. I can't comment on apps or dessert but the burgers were good. Your average burger, well cooked with fresh toppings. Buns were not super fresh but still had some bounce. Our 11 year old loved loved loved the sweet potato fries and the pulled pork. Without having tried any apps it's hard to give a complete food review so I'll update once we do. We were sat on top of other people and of course they were coughing and masks off the whole time. Maybe the casino has different rules, but they allow you to drink without eating which is contrary to the state's current rules. I've been going out for the entire duration of Covid and this is the first time I felt so uncomfortable. Also the show was pretty terrible. Drag queens lip syncing with bad dance moves to spice girls songs is pretty amateur hour. I'll never get that hour of my life back. Now I'm just hoping I didn't get Covid from the people next to us. read more

It was fun. Don't remember the comics names as the comedy was just so-so. I'd give the comedy itself a 3 star but as places are beginning to open back up, I appreciate the efforts that these businesses are going through to keep us all entertained. Tickets were $30/each, so not a cheap event given the comedians weren't well known, but it was fun to people watch, too. read more

I went to see my friends band Bullet proof.. They are a country and western band. The Sound Guy did an amazing job. It wasn't too loud. It was just right, the staff of the comic road House was very attentive, there were a lot of people there, but they didn't forget that you were there, I ended up getting a chicken sandwich. It was awesome and all the other food at the table enjoyed, of course, being in a casino, things can get a little pricey, but that is expected when you are at a casino they had a lot of beverages on tap and bottles. Our girlfriend's birthday come up and we went to Mohegan Sun for the weekend and booked for a show at Comix Roadhouse. Although there were a lot of people, there was no lack of attention on anything we needed to eat or drink. Seats were comfortable enough and the entertainment was on point. We saw the comedian Godfrey there that day and he made our night. I would certainly go back to the Roadhouse and try riding that bull ..... in the meantime it was fun watching folks do it. read more

We like to eat here before a concert at Mohegan Sun Arena. The food is always good. I usually get the cheesebuger sliders, which are surprisingly tastier than I expected. Homemade potato chips are really good. My husband likes the ribs, although a half rack is more than enough! The servers are always great. We haven't stayed for a show, but the live music has the place hopping at night! Lots of fun. read more

I like the vibe of this place. Fun environment, nice staff. Good selection of food and alcohol. We had chicken fingers, mashed potatoes and side salad. All were just okay. Adorable little comedy venue right within Mohegan Sun. You enter through the main restaurant and are directed towards the back where the comedy club is located to have your tickets checked for admittance. I was immediately informed (quite pronounced) that I wasn't allowed to walk in there with a drink from another part of the casino and I had to finish it before I could proceed. Calm down. The restaurant wasn't too crowded before the 8pm show started, but there was standing room only when the show let out. Could also be due to the live music there. After the comedy show, my husband and I even stuck around for a little bit to listen to the music. Country is NOT OUR JAM. But....it had been the first time we could hear music live in what was literally over a year, so we went with it. Comix itself seemed to just be started to get back into the groove of things. There was some dead space towards the back with piled up chairs and the area seemed a bit drab back there. The space seemed to have two tiers of tickets: the cheaper seats in the back that were positioned with parallel tables that you'd have to watch the comedian sideways at and the full frontal rows towards the front. Initially we were in the back seats but were offered to move up because a party of 4 wanted to sit together in the back. Ok...score! Our comedian Joe List was great. His opener (whose name escapes me) was just ok, not super funny. But to give them both credit, they were just getting back into the swing of things as well. This was one of the (if not the) first situations in which everyone was allowed to be close without mandatory masks on. Hence that was the butt of many jokes that night (last weekend). Can't comment on the food as we ate elsewhere (Ballo) before we arrived for the show. I was super pleased to have Happy Treez by Stubborn Beauty Brewing Company during the show. I ordered a side of ranch also at that time. Well food comes out, she didn't make the change to the item, and no ranch so asked again for it and was told she would bring it right back. We'll never got it and to top it all off the tots that I needed the ranch for were cold to begin with. Not at all happy with our food or experience here. Not sure I will return. Been here several times over the years usually at the bar early to start off a night before we move on. Service has always been ok, nothing great not horrible at the bar. Friday night we came in late around 11 and stayed until closing. They have live bands and bull riding. The service at the table was much better than the bar. Wish I remembered the waitress name she was extremely friendly and attentive. Shared chicken wings, bbq pizza, and pretzels. All were good enough to satisfy a late night craving. They have a large draft beer selection. The space itself is large with the separate room for the comix comedy shows. If you are a country fan you would definitely like it here. read more

Loved the comedian Mike Feeney and can't wait until he comes back. He was funny without needing to use f word every sentence. After awhile f word every sentence loses its affect. We went for spinnatos comedy and magic on Sunday 6/30 Show was great and it was a fun time. I enjoyed the style of seating as well as food and beverage items. All of the seats are good. The guy that was scanning our tickets was super abrasive and short when we arrived and again when I stepped out and asked him a question but oh well. The great show made it ok! The waitress also never gave me a receipt for my credit card payment after asking twice but oh well again. We would go see another show there. read more

We had tickets to a 7pm show and arrived at 6:30. We were greeted at the entrance and security walked us to our table. Very polite and quick. No matter where you seat it will provide a good view to the stage. We purchased general admission tickets and I enjoyed myself and had a great view of the comic. The menu is very small that's the reason for the three. The $10drink/food minimum wasn't bad , the drinks were average. The opening act and main act were equally funny. I can't say enough amazing things about Comix. I recently went there for dinner with my husband, a comedy show to see Mary Lynn-Rajskub and a live band after the show. The food was so good, the service was great with happy people who actually cared about providing you with great service and of course the drinks were fast, cold and delish!
