Just a terrible place to see a show. I've been to a handful of concerts here through the years, but after the last one I'm officially done. The sound is awful. The air conditioning is insufficient. The seats are so close together on the floor, I was literally wedged between the two people on either side of me, and I am not a big person. There are no less than four security checkpoints to get to the floor; from soup to nuts I was in one line or another for 40 minutes. Two of the security people I had to deal with were complete jerks and totally unprofessional. The cherry on the sundae is that everything is vastly overpriced, from the tickets to the restaurants to the concessions. I went there recently after a fourteen year hiatus, and realized almost immediately why it had been so long since the last time. Fool me once, fool me twice, I suppose it's my fault it took five or six times to really appreciate how lousy the Mohegan Sun concert experience is, but I can now promise I'll never make that mistake again. read more

02/26/2023 - Here to see one of my favorite soft rock bands of the 80's and 90's Air Supply. The arena seats 10K people. The seats are comfortable. They offer food and beverages for sale and most importantly the acoustics are pretty good. Make sure to go early to your event since everyone needs to go through metal detectors, pocketbooks and bags are throughly searched and inspected. Came here for the first time to see Phish. I have to say from start to end the entire experience was amazing and easy!! I'm from NY and most venues are a pain in the A-- getting to, getting into, parking, rude people and crazy crowded. The Holiday Inn provided a free shuttle both ways. Been to the mohegan sun arena plenty of times before to see The Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas solo (Twice!), and even Jeff Dunham! Been here recently on Thursday August 17th 2023 with my mom to see The Jonas Brothers on their 5 Albums 1 Night tour. Seats are comfortable, although we all stand and dance at some point. They offer food and beverages in the arena. We purchased a water, that was poured into a cup with a lid on it. it was $5.00 for a water. They also had a merch stand both inside and outside of the arena. They did have more merch inside the arena, but if you want simple, outside is best, where i brought my new shirt! Both cashiers at the merch stand and at the beverage stand were very nice and friendly. My mom and i enjoyed another great show by the Jonas Brothers! Do come here early, as they body scan everyone, and check bags. Although they were great at communicating about bringing a see-through bag, which makes the process easier i'm sure. Restrooms also were super clean. Will be back next time to see a concert again soon! read more

It was my first time here last night. I was excited to check out the arena at Mohegan sun. Its a pretty good size, I was impressed. The sound sounded great. I saw a comedian so there was no band or music or anything. The arena seems like even if you sit on the top area its still a good view. They have great two screens too on each side. The staff here, well there are definitely alot of security and staff. They are all helpful and mostly nice. Beers are reasonable priced but just know that they have to pour beers into cups and they are not allowed to put covers on it. After the show was over, it took long for us to file out of the arena. I was on the floor so there was a massive crowd. Once outside of the arena area to get upstairs I took the stairs because for whatever reason they blocked off the escalator so people were just not knowing what to do and why they were not allowing people to use it. Other than this it was a good experience. Would like to try and see an actual concert here one day. read more

One of the nicest arenas that I have ever been at! The seats were comfortable with backs. The pizza was the best that we have ever had at an arena. There were plenty of food and drink choices. All of the facilities were well-kept and new. No wonder the Mohegan Sun Arena has won multiple awards for Best Arena! Everything was super positive about this venue. The only thing I might suggest would be better signage coming into the facility and in the parking garage. An added bonus was all of the wonderful restaurants and shops that were located in the Mohegan Sun complex outside of the casino. You can easily spend a day there, and having all those things to do was great for us, because we arrived a few hours before the game started. We will definitely be back. Maybe for a concert? The policies for this arena have become ridiculous. They made me remove the thin string from an otherwise acceptable small clear bag because it posed, they said, a "hazard" . Also they are now confiscating the caps from any plastic bottle you buy, so you can't recap it if you don't finish it. I'm put off from attending any more events here till the sheer silliness stops. This was my first time at this Arena, and it was such an awesome experience! Every seat is great and the staff is very nice and helpful. We went to see Brad Paisley and it was one of the best venues I have been to. I've seen Brad many times at Jones Beach, and he is always great, but you can't get that close up personal feel at that venue like you do here at Mohegan. The people standing in the pit area really had a great time, and I would have been right up there with them, except my mom came with me so we needed seats :-) We ended up with excellent seats and since this concert was rescheduled due to covid, there were some empty seats up closer to move to. The sound system was also amazing! Some places are either too loud and muffled, or just not balanced correctly. That wasn't the case here, and the music was just perfect! They also allow you to bring drinks and food to your seats, so that made everything even better! It was a great night! The only thing that I wish was different is that Brad played longer...it all went so fast, but I guess that's what always happens when you're having a great time!! If you want a great place for dinner, go to Michael Jordan's Steak house...excellent!! and Tom's for breakfast...especially if you're really hungry...the biggest breakfast I ever had, and so delicious! read more

First time seeing a show here. I saw Dancing with the Stars Live. It was a great show. The seats were comfortable but very close to one another. My only complaints: the arena was extremely crowded with long lines. Perhaps the staff/security can accommodate less people at a given time. It was very difficult walking around with so many people. Second: the music was EXTREMELY loud. Deafeningly loud. It was quite dangerous. Third: we were seated stage left, so the bright white lights on stage right were in our eyes for some parts of the dances making it impossible to see the dancers. Last: the show started about 15 minutes late, so it ended later than it was supposed to. read more

I haven't been here in forever. I think the last time I was here was back in 2011. The place is pretty much the same. Now it's past the COVID lockdown while COVID percentage is still high. You would think that they would still have you somewhat distance yourself in the seating area. The seats were so small that there were a few people I seen that fit in a chair and a half. I really felt sorry for those that sat next to them because they were practically in each other's lap. Security was tight. So I did feel safe while enjoying the show I went to. Other than that. That was my only complaint about the place. It was clean when we went in. And the entertainment that we came to see was so good. I've seen Ed Sheeran, Game of Thrones Orchestra, and Death Cab for Cutie here and every time was a great experience! I never had to wait too long for a drink here as well. Coming from the bay area, we have gi-normous venues that I kind of hate, and then much smaller venues where you tend to need to stand all night (Fillmore, anyone?). I couldn't stand all night in my 20's, let alone now LOL. So the size of this place seems just right to this Goldilocks. Parking was super easy and FREE. What? Riverview garage is the closest, shortest walk to the doors toward the arena. And getting out was like...just drive. Seriously, not used to this in the bay. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this venue - truly. Even trying to figure out how to come back and see the holiday Pentatonix concert that I just realized is happening here.
