I've been with Commers for 8 years. They installed the water Softners and iron filter as 2 reverse osmosis water filter. I use the filtered water for my reef aquariums. I have Commers do a maintenance visit once per year on all components. They were out a few weeks ago and replaced a filter on the osmosis machine. I get a bill from the water company for 3700.00 dollars over 63 thousand gallons used! Figured out that the tech never checked the softner and it was running water at 1000 gallons per hr. Commers came out a few days after said it was a Brocken part sorry for the bill and charged my card 650.00 I talked to one of the owners/ managers Anthony I think, why the tech never checked the entire system like they were asked and always do and he hung up the phone on me. Commerce installed a water softener for us, for about $2300, which was paid in full at the time it was installed. A few weeks later I get a bill for $2.17 for solar salt tech, a random misc charge. I've ignored it, but every month they send me a new bill with $5 added to it for the privilege of sending me a paper bill. Fix your billing department please. read more

Beware, if you purchase softener salt from Commers, their bags do not have handles to carry them into your home and down stairs, and are 50lbs. Unlike other brands that are 30 to 40lbs and have handles, this sucks. They will load the bags into your vehicle so you won't know until you get home..... read more

We've used Commers for 20 years. This week we paid $129 for a service visit which allowed for 15 minutes of work. They quoted $736 for a pump replacement for our RO system. Said we should replace our PEX tubing (2 floors of it) if we bought a new system instead. I ordered the replacement part for $95 on Amazon and we installed it in 5 minutes (4 nuts and bolts). The PEX system can last up to 100 years according to research. This is only part of the story; don't ask about the water softener. It's time to find a new company to work with. NEVER NEVER hire Commers water. They are a disreputable, unethical company. Commers recently came to repair my reverse osmosis system. I waited 3 weeks for a service call. Then they said the system couldn't be repaired (of course) and they would put in a new system. In the process they clogged my cold water and now I have no cold water from my kitchen sink. They told me to call a plumber but they won't pay for the plumber. So I am worse off than before they came both financially and because I now need to get my cold water from the bath tub. Please do yourself a favor and run as far away from this company as possible. read more

I pre-buy my water and salt, so water is $.15/gal, and I get what amounts to a couple free bags of salt. I show up with empty bottles, fill 'em, tell Terry (or whoever is in that day) how many gallons I got and they deduct from my account. If I need salt, they help me carry it out and load it in my car. Always friendly and helpful folks. Been going there for almost a decade. read more

Beware, if your unit ever malfunctions. Mine, apparently wasn't working well from the start, then the cog machinism malfunctioned. $119.00 for a service call, plus time and materials! It ended up costing me about 1/3 of what the unit cost in the first place to get it repaired and set right. Ugh. Note: competitors offer $39.95 service calls. Sorry Commers. This may be a ONE sale household. read more
