He had my son lying to me he had him believing that we fought all the time which we did not. Unfortunately having him pick up his room or do dishes is fighting. they did not even want to tell me where my son was. although i did know . Ryan Peter Perez to this day a week later has yet to get in touch with me. I dont know how they did it but if they can do it to me and my child they can do it to you. This last time we tried to purchase advance tickets to get in earlier and were told at the Lake Forest store they didnt have them and didnt know what we were talking about. Ive also made the suggestion while people are waiting in line to go through and collect their payment and give them their bag so they dont get bottlenecked when they open, but they havent taken that advice to heart :) Anyway, the last couple sales, people are bringing in strollers without children in them, bags from home and all sorts of other chaos which makes this not fun. You can fill A BAG, that they give you, for $20. If you want more, you are supposed to pay for another bag, not fill every stroller and IKEA bag you can bring with you. And you have people who run in and just start scooping things up which is clearly a reseller, which, ok - you pay $20 and you fill your bag with whatever you want, but its not like that. Its become extremely less enjoyable... people ruin everything, haha! I have noticed they also bring things out throughout the sale rather than having it all out at the beginning. I just think it could be run much smoother and user friendly.

The Wyland Foundation is a great organization that brings awareness and education to both children…read moreand adults. I have volunteered at a few of their events as well in their office. The staff is amazing and really fun to work with . Volunteering the in the office is a great opportunity to gain experience while helping your community. I really enjoyed volunteering at their yearly fundraiser. It's a great event with art, music, food, and inspiring speakers; even though you're volunteering, the staff makes sure that you also have a little time to enjoy the event as well. One of my favorite experiences was volunteering as a docent for the Mobile Learning Center. It was so much fun guiding and watching the kids go through all the stations. My time volunteering with the Wyland Foundation is always a lot of fun and very rewarding.

Yesterday I stopped by here and went into the office to see if they took food donations,…read morespecifically cake pan gifts. They did! Cake pan gifts are a 9x13 disposable cake pan from dollar tree, a box of cake mix, can of frosting, birthday card, balloons, (I added a birthday button), birthday candles and a can of sprite. You can google the recipe to make a cake with sprite instead of eggs and oil which is perfect for food banks. I will add a photo of my finished product for guidance. The gal at the front desk was very nice and instructed me to drive around to the side to the large open door. I walked in and someone asked how they could help me. She grabbed a cart and came out to m car and got my three bags that had the 12 cake pan gifts in them. She was so happy and excited to receive them and it made me feel so good!! Cant wait to make more in the future and bring them here.

Together, they made a very difficult process feel smooth and stress-free. Their warmth and genuine kindness show in everything they do. Families Forward as an organization is simply outstanding!!! They are so well organized, compassionate, and effective. They are a true blessing to the community, and I am beyond grateful for all of their support. If I could give more than five stars, I would. This group of people is the gold standard of how caseworkers and organizations should operate.

Laguna Canyon Foundation is an environmental non-profit organization created to protect our…read morebeautiful wild habitat. I am interested in getting more into the plant world and greatly appreciate that they have nursery opportunities on Saturday mornings. As an 8-5 corporate girlie, this is perfect for my schedule! I went to my first volunteer opportunity collecting seeds from surrounding wild plants and it got me into the flow state. We were all trusted to individually collect the seeds and combine them all for the growing season to come! I learned SO much in just 3 hours. I learned to identify a few plants, their plant cycles, and I even saw a ton of wildlife I would never see. The Foundation building is set in a gorgeous cliff and a peaceful area. We even got a little nature hike collecting the seeds. I'll absolutely become a regular volunteer here. :)

It truly makes such a difference when we come together as a community to help those in need. They make everything so easy and everyone here is always so welcoming! Stephanie and Jason are the two that are usually in the front helping you check in, so I have been able to talk to them the most. They both have such kind hearts and always make sure your experience here is great. Everything works smoothly here and the staff explain what to do perfectly. You start by watching a video that talks more about what Second Harvest is and what to expect during your volunteer shift. My personal favorite is grocery rescue, which is where you go to the cooler in the back and sort the good and the bad items that they receive from grocery stores. There are plenty of other options, depending on the day, like order pulling, crate washing, processing, bag cutting, etc. These are just some of the opportunities that they offer at the distribution center. They also have their own farm where you can spend your time picking the produce straight from the ground! Overall, this is such a great place to volunteer at. In the warehouse, they also show where all their products get distributed to. Below is a list of all the food banks in the area, if you ever need it!
