    Cold Soup
    Clarissa C.

I'm deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Common Wealth Restaurant . Despite my previous positive experiences with the company, this visit has left me hesitant to return. My husband ordered tomato basil soup, which arrived cold, and I overheard other customers complaining about their cold soups as well. To make matters worse, the cashier failed to inform us that several items we intended to order were out of stock. This oversight significantly limited our options and made it difficult to complete our purchase. The cashier's response to the customer who informed her about the out-of-stock items was dismissive and unprofessional. Given the poor customer service and the lack of attention to detail, we won't be returning to Common Wealth Restaurants. There are many other restaurants in the area that offer better customer service and a more welcoming experience.

I came for a mommy & me event. The shades and trees outside were wonderful for an outdoor morning. Coffee and food was delicious. I love the elevated ham and cheese croissant with bechemel. So good! And my coffee was perfect. Nice staff. I will definitely be back.

I've been several times to the closer to downtown and really enjoyed it. This visit to this location was not the same. They forgot our order then brought half and forgot the other half which should be served together warm. Quality was not the same as previous visit, offered gift card or something to compensate but didnt take it. French toast was mid. Pastry was good amd their specialty drink Texado was delish! Service was slow from the line, register and delivery of food. It was served 4 of of us at all different times. Left disappointed.

This new location was really hard to find. Told a friend I would meet them here and got a bit lost trying to find it. Croissant was delicious but they had some trouble with the new toaster warming it up. My coffee was good the place was just very cold. It was a bit awkward since I didn't know they closed at 3, the staff was all heading out and about to lock up with me around the corner by myself lol. Hope to come back when they have more of a foundation built.

Such a cool hidden gem in Stone Oak. The vibe is great with the beautiful plants all over the restaurant. The service is great and the food was yummy. I had a latte and French toast. My hubs had the avocado toast. We'll definitely be back!!

We can turn something as…read moresimple as grabbing breakfast into an adventure filled with laughter, conversation, and, of course, great food. This time, our morning led us to Pan & Coffee, a bakery and café I picked after spotting its impressive 4.7-star Yelp rating. Pan & Coffee is located on Stone Oak Parkway in San Antonio and proved to be every bit as charming as we expected. From the moment we walked in, the café felt warm, inviting, and bright. The open, airy layout, high ceilings, and oversized windows bathed the space in natural light. First, the bakery case immediately steals your attention. Rows of beautifully crafted pastries behind perfectly constructed glass cases practically beg you to take one or three home. Smile. Their selection includes flaky croissants, colorful conchas, sticky monkey bread, cinnamon rolls, fruit-filled pastries, and other freshly baked treats. My brother and I couldn't resist ordering a cinnamon roll and a lemon pastry, and both were absolutely delicious. The pastries were generously sized, making them perfect for sharing or keeping all to yourself. For breakfast, I ordered the avocado toast while my brother chose one of their breakfast sandwiches. Both dishes arrived with generous portions and were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Pan & Coffee also shines when it comes to its beverage menu. In addition to traditional espresso drinks, they offer creative specialty lattes infused with Mexican-inspired flavors, including the Dulce de Leche Latte, Brown Sugar Latte, Café de Olla, and the unique Concha Latte. I got the Brown Sugar Latte, which was warm and super flavorful. Great bonding with my big brother and first time experience at Pan & Coffee.

The latter I waited I would say at least 25 minutes for. No, that's not a typo. You could argue I should have asked for a refund or just left, but I already felt committed at this point. I watched them batch up 10 drinks at a time, work on them a bit, walk away, come back and do the next step, then walk away again. Batching drinks makes sense for an order. It doesn't make sense for the whole restaurant. People who ordered 15 minutes after me were getting their stuff at the same time. Drinks at the end of batch were fresh and hot, drinks at the front were of course sitting for that entire time. I could see they were busy, and I prefer to not give people a hard time, but at minute 20 I finally asked if my drink was still being made. I got a shoulder shrug, then she checked and then it was finished and handed to me. No apology for the wait. Apparently I should have asked 15 minutes prior Again, the pastries and coffees are fine. None of them are worth the time spent waiting for them.

It's bright, welcoming, and has such a great atmosphere whether you're meeting up with friends, hosting a Bible study, getting some work done, or enjoying a slow brunch. The staff has always been kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. As for the coffee, I'd personally rate it around a 7/10. They have fun signature drinks that are worth trying, but I've had coffee elsewhere that I prefer. Everyone's taste is different, though, and that's just my personal opinion. The food is good, but I do find it a bit pricey for the portion sizes. Because of that, I don't usually order food when I visit. That said, their pastries are fantastic! The banana bread is easily one of my favorites and is a solid 9/10. Even though I think it's on the expensive side, I still find myself going often because it's close to home and the atmosphere is so enjoyable. Sometimes you're paying for the overall experience, and Coffee Crush definitely delivers on that. Overall, I'd give Coffee Crush an 8/10. If you haven't been yet, I'd absolutely recommend checking it out and deciding for yourself. Between the gorgeous space, friendly staff, and creative signature drinks, it's definitely worth adding to your coffee shop bucket list.
