Our sales person "Gray" was knowledgeable, friendly and very interested in use as a customer. They allowed use to hire our own certified RV inspector to inspected the Gemini from top to bottom. Smooth Sailing For Selling My Boat With Commonwealth I had a great experience with Commonwealth Boat Brokers. They sold my boat for me and got exactly the price I was hoping for. Marc was outstanding to work with throughout the entire process--he kept me in the loop with regular updates about showings and potential buyers, and he was always easy to reach if I had questions. I had SO much trouble trying to sell the boat myself. When I listed it on Boat Trader, all I got was spammers and fake interest. It wasted my time and money! I tried to print flyers and post them at marinas in my area in Virginia, but didn't get any interest, and this also wasted my time and money. Do NOT waste your time at this place!!!!! My experience was HORRIBLE I don't even know we're to start. We live in Texas and my family had been on the hunt for a rv we with bunk beds and found one with common wealth that seemed to be the perfect fit. I called on a Saturday and the process over the phone was great that day. We had the down payment in hand and knew what we wanted and got the rest flawlessly bank approved. So Monday morning I had to call and call to get Ken from the dealership to call me back on everything. Just kept getting the run around on what was going on then on Tuesday same thing I got one call back a very brief not even update. Plan tickets kept going up as they dragged there feet and my frustration rose. So Thursday we confirmed everything and planned to fly out with our kids to buy the rv. To our complete surprise the rv was in HORRIBLE shape we were aware of some minor cosmetic things. When we arrived the awning didn't pull out and in with easy it was horribly bent, the generator didn't start, the engine oil was DARK gritty and almost non existent like it had never been changed. Then the worst we started to drive it down the corner and thankfully it had been raining or this would have probably been missed but the ac once we turned the corner started to fall off and GUSH the water collected on the top. We have an rv this was no condensation it was like a waterfall of water, so my husband stopped it got on top and Yepppppp a BIG roof patch. I was not told about a roof patch or ANY roof damage whatsoever. So when I told the salesman that all this was an ABSOLUTE no for the $80,000 they were asking for he seemed like he had no clue about anything and said they wouldn't come down on the price at all. We declined the rv and left and now are on the search for another. DONT shop here they are HORRIBLE read more

After giving a respectful offer on a boat over the phone, Mark took my offer and said he was going to present it to the bank. Said he would give me a call right back. I didn't hear from him for a few days. He eventually came back with a counter offer from the bank. Said he was "working for me" and tried playing buddy-buddy with me. I raised my initial offer by $2000. Mark ensured that he was gonna "work on them", them being the bank. Again, I waited days. When I finally heard back from him he said "he lost his battle". With the difference in the banks number and my number being so small, Mark could have adjusted his commission to make the deal happen. His greed got in the way. Mark told me to try calling back if the other boat I was looking at elsewhere didn't work out. Later that week I called back and left him a message. I told him I'd meet him in the middle. I never heard back from him. All in all it was a pretty exhausting experience and don't plan to ever do business with them. If you plan on doing business with Commonwealth be prepared to deal with deceitful and greedy sales jockeys. read more

Salesman Ken has the worst attitude and lack of honesty and patience when dealing with someone who just happens not to be a cash buyer. He was extremely rude and argumentative from the very first conversation. He would never let me finish a sentence because he felt what he had to say was more important. The final straw came when I told him that I must be spoiled from the great service that I received from Marc, which is an associate salesman that recently got injured in a motorcycle accident. Marc was responsive forthcoming and honest in all his dealings with me, with that said if choose to go to Commonwealth RV I insist that you deal with Marc if you want real professional service that's indicative of the Commonwealth way of doing business. The final straw was when Ken flat out lied to me and told me that my current finance company requested too much paperwork and he wasn't sure the owner was going to go through with it and that he didn't make those decisions. I called my current finance company and the lady on the phone was adamant and saying that we absolutely do currently work with Commonwealth RV, which Ken said they did not. Once again taking shortcuts and being deceptive. I'm sure the owner and the rest of the staff is not like him but I'm only sharing my experience. read more

I called to test drive a used RV, and the salesman told me I could not. I had to buy the RV first. He said it was because the bank owns it and they don't allow it. That dog won't hunt. The bank should be encouraging test drives to sell them; they don't want to hold on to them. And who buys something for $50k without test driving it first? read more

Very poor service. Practically had to call and beg to buy the RV we wanted. Now very hard to get what they promised. They backed into my Rv on the lot, broke the awning, scratched the side. They fixed awning, but never addressed scratches. Said they cleaned carpet, but 100% certain they did not. Funny, they don't care about you before, during, or after your sale. Not the way to run a business. Myself and my friends looking to also buy boats will be telling everyone to avoid this place. read more

I purchased a 32' RV a few years back from these guys and everything was as advertised. I will admit even then they were quite busy on the phone and on site with customers, so bring some patience when dealing with them because the deals are there and that's why myself and plenty other's have been there. This year I purchased a boat there and (considering the price of boats now) I felt quite fortunate with the one I found. I looked around and compared similar boats, motors and trailers and nothing was close to what they had advertised. I wanted something with a cuddy for privacy, low motor hours and a trailer that didn't have issues from saltwater use. I felt lucky to find one with below 50 motor hours. That's the biggest issue with boats, a lot of sellers say "low motor hours" and they have 250 to well over 500 hours on them and that's not low hours. We saw a motorhome for sale on a RV listings website, and drove 4 hours one way to see the unit, fell in love with it, and placed a deposit on the unit. It was a bank repo. We were not allowed to test drive it or to see it on "shore power" until their "PDI" was completed, yet we were expected to take delivery on the unit in 10 days or lose the deposit. Their PDI [Pre Delivery Inspection} was intended to warrant that all mechanical (not cosmetic) functions were operational at the time of pickup. When we arrived, they had the unit out, but missed a huge leak in the back bedroom of the unit, and the awning did not extend properly. We had to go home without taking possession, and for the next several days, Commonwealth RV went essentially silent on how to deal with the repairs and delivery, finally just saying they couldn't help us and that they would refund our deposit by mail sometime in the next couple weeks. It was an emotional roller coaster event, and very disheartening. We want people to be aware that 1. These are broker dealers and don't warranty work in any way. 2. They are demanding about us meeting a 10 day deadline or lose the deposit, but are not reasonable about their own timeliness in reverse. 3. Their PDI is well short of comprehensive, so you cannot trust that they will find major flaws in the units they consign. read more

Don't buy an RV here!!! After the salesman assured us he had an Class A Motorhome that would meet our needs and budget we drove 4 hours to look at them. We specifically told the salesman we did not want a project motorhome and he assured us he had a lot of choices for us. When we arrived to our shock and disgust every motorhome that was pictured online was disgusting!! every motorhome we looked at was nothing like what was pictured online, you could not even sleep in these motorhomes without being sick because they had water damage mildew and stunk with mold, mildew and animal urine. I will never go there again and I advise you to got to any other dealership. read more

Writing for aging parents who were taken advantage of. This was their second purchase over many years. First time in early 2000's the class A purchase went mostly smooth ... there were a few things wrong but Commonwealth willingly rectified the situation at no extra cost. This time (Nov 2018) they were sold a class A riddled with problems, the biggest problem is the main slide would not extend more than a foot of the 3 feet and was cockeyed. I (as you may also be asking) why didn't you notice this at Commonwealth and the answer is ... they had the MH sandwiched between two other coaches so that you could not extend it to find out, however, when asked if everything worked they were assured many times that everything worked 100% and had all been inspected by their team of mechanics and the coach was ready for it's trip to Florida! They were told the hotwater heater worked, it did not. They were told the tires were all brand new (they were original 2006) they were told the batteries were newly installed (2013 and dead) One jack would not stay up, windshield leaked water profusely in rain storm and rear view camera did not work at all. Now all these problems were discovered when my wife and I went to get them ready for their trip to Florida ... they had just taken the word of Commonwealth that everything worked and parked it in the yard waiting for us. So, after being confronted with all the issues Mark, told them that was too big of a job for them to handle and to bring it elsewhere for all the repairs and bring the bill to them afterward. $2600 later in repairs (no new tires, batteries or camera) they presented the bill and only asked that Commonwealth cover half of it, $1300. Commonwealth refused the $1300 and offered $500 stating if they took it that they (commonwealth) is released from all liability. They refused the $500 and said they would rather write 500 reviews! Losing a good customer over $800 makes absolutely no sense to any of us and all the untruths ... Commonwealth does not have your best interests in mind, Stay Away! read more

My husband and I went in to Commonwealth RV on Friday, March 15, 2019. We walked in to the door only for several sales people to look at us and keep doing what they were doing, no greeting or anything. A man at a desk finally speaks up, as he is dialing on the phone, and asked "if he could help us" and then proceeds to ask for whoever he was calling on the phone. When he was put on hold, he asked us again to where my husband stated, "yes, we would like to look at a couple RVs". The man, in a condescending tone, says "Well which one, we have over 100"? My husband stated "How about we start with Class Cs". The man again, in a condescending tone, says, "Well, they are all unlocked-feel free to look through them". Not quite the way to sell an RV...as we were walking out-the man hollers, "Sorry you are having a bad day" , not even sure where that came from, because our day was great, we were planning to buy an RV!!! UNBELIEVABLE! Extremely rude and arrogant! This is definitely NOT where I would spend a dime, let alone $100,000+ for a motorhome that I am hoping to purchase! Just bought a travel trailer from Marc. Was in a couple of times before I decided o pull the trigger. No pressure or constant calls. The whole buying experience was stress free, from sale, to finance and delivery and there was no attempt to upsell unwanted extras.
