Took my travel trailer in to repair LP quick connect I damaged. Dropped off April 7th with needed date of May 28th (trip). Work was not completed and they would not even cap the open LP line. Picked it up and was able to fix it myself. Two months and they could not complete a job that took me 3 hours once I understood what needed to happen. I would not recommend McGeorges for service on anything other than the campers they sell. Stopped in and bought some parts for my RV, had the skylights in stock. But you pretty much have to buy a good Sam membership, not keen on that but whatever. Customer service is okay but nothing great, tried asking about sealants and got the min information. Look up what you need to come before going. My wife and I had our newly purchased camper delivered to this dealership from another Camping World in PA. We called on the way there to let them know we needed a brake controller installed. They seemed like they would be helpful in assisting us. Upon our arrival the parts guy asked if we already had a 7-way connector, we said we did. He went on to say that he recommend a Bluetooth wireless controller. He grabbed one off the shelf and retail rang it up. We thought the total was very pricey but we were in a hurry and didn't bother to check the receipt. Long story short, when we got home 3 hours later my wife looked at the receipt. They charged us $91 for installation, there was no installation involved, but they made it sound like they had to install it. The part literally plugs into the 7-pin connector. They also charged $20 for shop supplies. Again, no shop supplies were used. The truck was never moved by them, and again, the part simply plugs into the 7-pin connector on the bumper of the tow vehicle. Lastly, and this is most important, they charged us $52 for a 3-year protection plan on the part. To sum things up, none of this was discussed with us and we are out about $163. I called the next day and explained all this to a female service manager, we talked about 10 mins, she told me that those items should have been discussed with us prior to the part going to the part department. She also stated that she would call me back, I never received a call back. All this after we just purchased a camper from Camping World. Besides returning the part for a refund at a closer Camping World I will never step foot in another one again. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would . They are so fast to sell you a new RV but the service and parts dept are incompetent. First off they NEVER answer the phone or respond to emails! If they do read an email, they don't read thru the whole thing to find out the information they need. Their customer service is the WORST! We have had an ongoing mechanical problem since the end of December when we bought our brand new 2025 Forest River Georgetown in the middle of December. After dealing with their lousy customer service, we were told by Richard one of the customer service representatives, " that if we want to see anything done quickly, you need to call the manufacturer yourself, not that I'm trying to pass the buck." Ummm, Richard guess what, you did just that. After me calling Forest River I received a phone call back immediately with all the correct information and part number which both the manufacturer and I forwarded to the service department. After not hearing anything from them for a week, we journeyed the 30 minutes back to the dealer to have someone answer our question to see if the part was ordered. Remember, no one answers their phone and left messages are NEVER returned! Once we had a service reps attention, they claimed they never received any emails. Hmmmm, how do you not receive emails from two different people sending it to the same address. The one from the manufacturer, they recounted and said they did read it but said there was no information to order the correct part. Unfortunately, if they had taken the time to scroll to the bottom of the email they would have found where it was listed! After standing there making sure the correct part was ordered, the issue was FINALLY resolved on Monday March 30th, no thanks to camping world. I will say Brittany in the service department is helpful, but she is swamped trying to do everyone else's job, and unfortunately you don't always get her assistance. Be warned, if you get Richard, RUN, you'll get a lot of lip service but no follow through. read more

They were happy to take my camper on consignment and list it for $10k more than what they gave me after I gave them $9k To bridge the gap on what I owed on it. Then called to ask if I would be willing to give them $4k more in order for them to make a sale on my camper that was literally only 8 months old and had been listed for more than what a new model was priced at. After saying no, the salesman/manager Danny caught an attitude and said "you aren't giving me any room to work with". I requested to terminate my consignment the next day and magically a deal was pending. After My camper had been sold it was like pulling teeth to obtain a copy of the consignment agreement from them. Lastly after a week of asking where/when my license plate would be returned I finally got an answer of "it must have been lost in the mail, you need to submit a form to your local mva". One of the sales managers Ashley helped me out in the end and got me everything I needed as far as paperwork goes and was a huge help which is the only nice thing I have to say about this place. Day #1. I there for an inspection which turned out to be a nightmare. my unit needed a break away and tires. I instructed them to do the breakaway and I was going to have the tires done for half of what they were going to charge me at Discount Tires. I got there that same day to pick it up after a 45 minute drive to be told it would be done the next day. No mention of anything with the breaks. Day #2. I was called to be informed the breaks locked and the breaks fell apart and they would get an estimate as to the cost. I spoke with Richard in Management and thinking he would be empathetic with the fact that my unit was moved twice and no mention of break problems. the two ladies that called me(in management) were condescending and nasty of coarse not taking responsibility for their actions. This place is horrible. Do not buy anything from here. Their service department department does not know what they're doing. They kept our motorhome for five months and it still came back broken. They do not keep their word. Really need to be shut down. They said they do a checklist on everything you buy that is a lie. We had so many problems after they said it was 100%. We had a Salesman name Tim, you can't miss him. He's around 7 foot tall. A tall drink of water.! the kindest, most empathetic young man; he listens to what you're saying and is there to help. The least high-pressure cells I have dealt with in forever. I will never shop with anybody, but Tim no matter who he works for.! George's was pretty good as well. They have a full staff and they're very attentive. Any upgrades or future purchases we make will be with our favorite sales person Tim. I apologize. We purchased our 2024 Fleetwood in Oct 2025, our salesman was Timothy West. Upon introduction this guy was on point. His mannerism, his attention to detail and follow ups were second to none. He followed up with us months after we picked up the RV to ensure we were COMPLETELY SATISFIED! And we were and still is..We've purchased many vehicles, and dealt with impatient salesman, however Timothy's patience, and knowledge of what we wanted had us sold. The reason for the 4 star only, is due to some things beyond his control ie, financing. If we decide to do business here again we would definitely reach out to Timothy!! Be warned. Don't buy from this business. It is buyer beware. Many products are junk, our 2025 purchase has proven to be. Worst issue is that Camping World will wash its hands of you and offer zero support to ensure your purchase is made satisfactory at even the most useable human levels. Camping World and Forest River are in bed together to build a low quality unit. The list of problems, some truly personally endangering, I have on my unit could fill this page. I've owned many RVs. Do your research, I would not buy here again. Not an RV, not a bottle of water... they are out for nothing other than sales numbers and your signature. Just some feedback on my experience with Camping World (McGeorge RV, Ashland, VA). Things started off good for the most part in getting a sales person to work with. But that fizzled quickly. I decided to go and look at the boat due to being in the area one day. I spoke with a different salesperson due to my assigned one being off that day. He was extremely knowledgeable and got me familiar with the boat. After that, we set up a meeting with the original salesperson . Honestly, not very knowledgeable and communication was not very good after that. His answer to most questions was that he would get back to us. Then it was like pulling teeth to get answers to anything by email or phone. If I didn't reach back out within a few days, he never responded. Upon taking delivery, the walk around was ok for the most part. They did forget the Bimini for the boat, so that had to get mailed after we got it home. The registration took about three weeks to finally get in the mail. Come to find out, The folks at McGregor never mailed or took the check to the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) in order to get the registration. That took numerous emails to get resolved involving two other people. Next issue was that neither the speedometer nor the trim gauge were functioning on the boat. Once again, I sent an email to the salesman, and he replied "I'll check into that" ...never heard a word back. After taking it to a boat repair shop, come to find out that the speedometer cable was never installed, and the trim gauge cable was pinched in the motor hinges (Needs to be replaced). So on to the next thing.....I asked for a cutoff switch to be installed in the boat, so they took care of that. Again, after having a boat shop look at everything, the one they installed was causing my battery to die (Hence having to spend $225.00 on a new battery). It looked like the switch they would use on the old electric chairs (Being new to the boating world, I had no clue). Also had to have that replaced with a new proper cutoff switch. Camping World charged me $.250.00 to install that out-of-date switch. The new switch only cost 90.00 for the switch and $50.00 for labor. So I know what the dealer and some others will say..."Why didn't you take it back under warrantee to get it fixed?". This is great in theory, but after all of the issues listed above, do you really think I had any faith in the people at McGregor? Plus, I'm betting it would take forever to get the boat back. The dealer is an hour away from me, so that also factors into the equation. Seems to me that the overall focus there is on RV sales, which I guess it should be, But if you decide to sell boats and have customers coming in wanting to spend 60k on a boat, then maybe have some knowledgeable people to assist with that. And competent people to work on the boats as well. I will not recommend anyone to go there to purchase a boat, and lets hope that people buying RV's don't get the same issues. read more

Terrible experience!! They showed be a used Class A but the battery was dead and power wasn't on. They only gave me $10k for my trade in even though it only 20k miles and no reduction of their sale price. The salesman showed me a piece of paper that "disclosed" all of the known defects and it only said "tv didn't work and recommend sealing the awning." I figured they had throughly gone through it and either fixed or disclosed any defects. That's why I bought it from the dealer.I was SO wrong!! NOTHING works on this stupid RV! The generator needs a major, multi thousand dollar repair, the AC in the dash and in the coach doesn't work, the hot water heater doesn't work and the dash gauges and lights have a short in it and don't work either! I've already spent $2500 trying to fix everything besides the generator. What a freakin nightmare! Oh and they made us wait for over 2 hours when we went to pick it up! My salesman wasn't available so they assigned another guy to show us the unit. Very nice guy but pretty clueless about how everything worked. They didn't even give me the opportunity to test drive it. By the time they gave me the keys, everyone was gone and the place was closed. I didn't realize the AC and dash lights didn't work until I was driving it off. TOTAL FRAUDSTERS! Save yourself a BIG headache and go somewhere else!!! read more

My husband and I stopped by there on 8-1125 and not one salesperson asked if we needed help or anything. We ended up just walking up and down the rows of campers. I dont understand why some of the campers didn't have the slides out and others were locked. Multiple salesmen went right by us on golf carts and didn't bother talking to us. RUN - turn around and RUN away from this place! We made a purchase of a brand new RV at the end of April and they have lied to us during every step of the process. Salesman gave us wrong specs for our RV - lied about scheduling our RV delivery TWICE. After a month of waiting for it to arrive the brand new refrigerator and front door lock were broken. Batteries were completely dead so we couldn't self level it - chairs were not secured during transport so we now have huge black marks all over the walls AND our contract has the WRONG make and model we purchased. The list goes on... without exaggeration we have called upwards of 50 times to have these issues fixed - only to never get called back. I am now dealing with Camping World Corporate- but it's been 2 weeks and still no assistance. They are a very dishonest dealership maybe more so than other Camping Worlds, do yourself a favor and go just down the street to General RV. You will be lied to and will have you sign before you to do a walk through and then say a issues are your problem now do warrenty claims. We never even got a test drive as promised! This is a deisel motorhome which we have never even started. There was not even enough fuel in it to get to the next exit, so we put in high priced fule to get home on. There were lights and noises from the dash we had never seen before and transmission rev ups just driving flat ground, They had the rig since March, so I when we were rairoaded into purchasing the rig, we just now got to bring it home on the 20th of July, we will not go back, service will be done at General Rv with big signs on it while there ripped off at McGeorges, now service here. We would not purchase a $100 dollar bill on sell from them for $1 dollar, it is all blood money that they stole from the people who spent their hard earned money, just to get the runaround from the employees that you will deal with many and they will all give you different stories about you being there and your purchase, that when the dust settles you realize just how much you got ripped off! Had them price an Ember 22 ets travel trailer for me as they are the local dealer for Ember RV's. They quoted an exorbitant price and then to try to back up this price they provided an MSRP that was not only well above the actual MSRP but it was more than the highest possible fully optioned Ember 22 ets MSRP. Seriously guys! Most manufacturers publish their MSRP's. This Dealership clearly, blatantly and shamelessly used dishonest and manipulative sales techniques, at least with me. read more

Our sales representative, Phillip Sanger, was wonderful. He sat us down, found out everything we wanted in a camper, and then took us out to tour them. He only took us to campers within our price range that matched up with all of our needs. We fell in love with one but wanted to go up the street to Gander to check out some others. He gave us his card and told us to call or text him anytime with any questions - and that when we were ready he would be there to help. He even called ahead to Gander to let them know we were on our way. Phillip gets 5 stars. So we look at other campers and finally decide we want to buy the one we saw with Phillip. We completed our application, did some negotiating and ultimately purchased our camper. The loan process was quick and very easy. They have a bunch of packets with information for newbies such as ourselves. Loan process gets 5 stars. However, we told them multiple times that we had a Toyota Tacoma and asked if we would be good to tow a 21 ft trailer and were assured multiple times that we would be good to go. After leaving work slightly early and driving an hour to get there on a Monday - we found that the truck could not tow the trailer and the service department was done for the day. We asked them what all we needed and we were quoted $895. We set up an appointment for Wednesday and get everything installed for another $948 or $938 (they forgot to give us a quote with taxes on it). The install took longer than they told us it would and we felt a little ripped off since we asked multiple times whether we needs to buy these things. They lack urgency when dealing with customers and it is frustrating. Service department gets 1.5 stars The camper is a beauty though! read more

The only reason i gave it a one is because our salesman and some of the others were very nice. If i were to explain the whole experience it would be more than a page long, so i will just say RUN away. I will never go back. The employees are very nice, but the tactics and lies are over the top. when you go to get your purchase be prepared to be there all day. Reflecting on this i realize now that it is a tactic, you are there all day so by the time you finally get your walk through it's the end of day and you are so tired you go through it quickly and don't see it all. Oh and be prepared the deal you made does not include after they examine your trade (after you have signed paperwork) and say you owe them $4K because of the AC which worked fine but needed a new shroud which i found out was only around $1k. you will see a cute little ad hanging from the AC which will make you think they checked and cleaned it. Only when you get home and within a week ac is not working and you take off vent and there is old dried up mud doppler nest. You can't check Fridge, its plugged in and light is on but then you find out won't switch to gas. Mind you they will charge you $2k for prep. I could go on and on but please look beyond how nice they are because we were taken advantage of, lied to and in less than 4 months camper is in shop with a whole list of repairs. I purchased a brand new 2025 toy hauler from this company for a retirement cross country trip and went less than 2000 miles before the bearing in the axle failed which ruined the axle. When I called Forrest river about the warranty I was told that I was supposed to bring it in 6 months after buying it to have the bearings repacked with grease. This was never told to me when I purchased it and this is something that should have been done before the unit was sold. I am now broken down in the middle of the country and have been for two weeks waiting on a new axle and this would have all been prevented if it would have been checked before selling it. Now I have spent hundreds of dollars for a hotel and the trip I have been planning for years has been ruined. This issue started with the manufacturer of the axle for a poor quality part, and then Forrest River for using it, but before selling a several thousand dollar unit to a customer take the time to make sure its good and will last more than 2000 miles. read more

This would have been my 3rd purchase from McGeorge's Camping world. I came in Thursday this past week. when I arrived, there was a white car pulled up against the lot fence that all the RV's are behind. There was a camping world employee (a female brown haor a little heavier set in weight) sitting in her white car talking on her phone smoking drugs in the business parking lot! Tell me how this is professional. I proceeded to watch, and she sat in the car about 10-12 minutes smoking a bowl type object and coughing and talking on the phone. She smoked whatever drugs were in this smoking device proceeded to get out of her car spray herself with a perfume or some type of body spray and talk on the phone as she returned into the building. I then walked in behind her and asked if she was an employee I was told she was a sales rep by the name of Crystal. I proceeded to walk over into the store look around a moment I watched her go make coffee and walk back around the corner to the back at that point I decided to leave. I do NOT want to buy over a 100K motor home from a person who is under the influence and high while at work. I had over 24k on cash on me and I was not comfortable giving that to someone I literally watch get high from start to finish right in front of the place she walked right out the front door got in her car and proceeded to get high or smoke whatever she was smoking out of this bowl looking object! I called the main number and reported to the receptionist who answered and was told I would get a call back from a manager as I asked, and NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK AS OF TODAY (Now Saturday)! Not sure if anyone cares or if Cocrystal cares but Crystal could have made a lot of money off me if she wouldn't of choose to do drugs in her place of employments (parking lot while on break) Wow unbelievable what people are allowed to do at work now a days! I do not recommend this location. It has been an issue each time, but I continue to give them a try. This was the last straw, and I will be giving this information to all the campgrounds We visit very regularly and locally to the Ashland location. SORRY CRYSTAL. 2nd purchase from this dealer. This time on Dec 15, 2023. It is now May 4th and I still do not have my registration or tags. My DMV still has my traded vehicle under my name and told me there has been no activity with a new registration. I've had two temp tags with expired periods between each. I'm currently driving to the dealer to get another one as nobody at this dealership returns calls or emails. The same thing happened with my first RV but I hoped it was a fluke. It was not, apparently based on my and others reviews on this site this is common place. I would be so ashamed to see my customers, repeat customers speak so poorly of any company I worked for. We bought a camper from McGeorge's on 03/09/2024. This will be the second camper that we have bought from them, and it will be our last purchase from them. There is nothing wrong with the Wolf Pup camper that we bought. Their after sale service just sucks! I highly recommend buying elsewhere. Our 30 day Virginia temporary vehicle registration has now expired. My partner and I have called and left several email messages with McGeorge's starting back on 03/26/24. No callback. Called & spoke to Michelle Logan at McGeorge's on 03/27/24. Was promised a callback. Never received one. I called several times the following week about the registration. Never heard anything back. My partner drove to McGeorge's. Was told either permanent plate would be mailed to us or we would get a call to pickup another temporary plate. Never heard back! Checked with Virginia DMV on 04/09/24. McGeorge had not filed any registration for the camper with them. Called one final time today about now expired registration. Was promised a callback. Never heard back. Was sent last week a part from Jennifer in their Service Department that was not needed or did not even fit my camper. I am posting reviews today. I will go physically to McGeorge's one last time later this week. If no response, I will file complaint with the Better Business Bureau and seek legal remedy. read more

EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED!!! From the time that my wife and I arrived for our scheduled appointment to the time I drove off the lot, with the RV that cost more than a 100K, was more than 10 hours. When I got in to drive home, which is more than 75 miles away, the rear-view camera was dangling. I subsequently discovered that the housing that it was supposed to be seated in was missing entirely. I have not heard anything from either the sales or service managers since speaking with them about the issue over a week ago. With good a conscious I would not recommend anybody wanting to purchase a RV to go elsewhere. I am certain they will have a better experience than that which my wife and I had. read more
