At that visit, I was told I…read morehad "deep pockets" in my gums, but no one mentioned cavities, an urgent treatment plan, or any significant issues. I was also never shown any X-rays, and I did not meet with the dentist -- only the hygienist. I returned in November for another cleaning, and immediately after the appointment I was suddenly told that I had three cavities between my teeth on both sides of my mouth and that treatment was "imperative." I was completely blindsided. When I said this was the first time anyone had mentioned cavities, the dentist insisted that I had been told months earlier -- which is simply not true. I clearly remember that conversation, and none of this was discussed. I wasn't shown X-rays at that time because they hadn't even been reviewed yet. The dentist only looked at my August X-rays in November and then accused me of "neglect." His exact words were: "Neglect adds up, and it comes in the form of tooth decay. You've done a good job, but now you have a lot of damage to repair." That comment alone was unprofessional, dismissive, and deeply unsettling. Then they slid a $2,500 treatment plan across the table as if this had all been previously agreed upon. I felt pressured, blindsided, and very uncomfortable with how the entire situation was handled. Something didn't sit right with me, so I went to a highly rated dentist in Westlake for a second opinion -- a practice with consistent five-star reviews. They were incredibly welcoming and thorough. They were shocked by how few X-rays Newbury Smiles had taken and reviewed. After examining me and reviewing new films, they told me: * My gums are healthy * My teeth are in great shape * I do not have cavities * I do not need fillings * I do not need any of the treatment Newbury Smiles recommended The contrast was night and day. In my honest opinion: Newbury Smiles is not operating in the best interest of patients. I left feeling pressured, misled, and spoken to disrespectfully. The dentist is a snake oil salesman and a hustler, and it seems like his staff isn't been an enamored with him either. I'm grateful I trusted my instincts and sought a second opinion. I urge anyone considering this practice to be cautious and to verify recommendations elsewhere.

Once again, thank you Dr. Saadat and your wonderful staff for the excellent treatment last week…read more Every time I come in, I'm treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. It's rare to find a dental office that makes you feel this comfortable and well taken care of."

The staff here is very competent and friendly. Shannon, the office manager, is smart and very good at her job. Natalie at the front, and the hygienist who did my deep cleaning (can't remember her name) are a pleasure to deal with. Then they gave me the trust factor, "I would suggest this to my own father." I was left with the feeling that I didn't have time to consider it. Talk about upselling. Wrong boys, my perspective, my money, my choice! Not yours! The office manager must be on a commission. She could not believe that I refused to stay and get the procedure done. I mean she couldn't believe that I was not staying. I told her three times. She still didn't get it. Maybe hearing issues? But hey, they both have nice trustworthy, sincere smiles. Bottom line, I went to an oral surgeon. About $230 later I left the oral surgeon's office happy as can be. And with $4,770 left in my pocket.

I see Dr Chris for my routine care, and I can't speak highly enough about the guy. He's a pretty straight forward guy, no BS, but is also very kind and reassuring. Dr Don has done a 3 extractions for me, none of which were easy, and it's always weird to walk away bloody but to praise the guy that did it to you, lol. But that's how great he is- yanks a tooth out of my head and I want to hug him after! I usually see Courtney for my cleanings because she's a complete rockstar, but she was on maternity leave last time. Looking forward to seeing her on my next visit. My husband had some really terrible and expensive dental work done at another practice locally, but the team at Huber saved not one, but two teeth that were nearly destroyed by the other guy, and cost us half of what the initial damage was. We'd give them 100 stars if we could.

Like others, I found my way through a referral to Dr. Amin after a seriously botched implant job on my front teeth, in which the posts were actually sticking out of my gums. I was a mess. And to pay for that botched job was thousands of dollars, much of which was out of pocket. I was in tears and pain. Dr. Amin did a masterful job in repairing the botched job, and making my new teeth wonderfully 'normal' at a much lower fee. She is helping on other dental issues since then, always with grace, expertise and determination. I am also deathly afraid of needles. She actually gives shots that hurt less than others, and is aware of my phobia, and ensures that part of my visit is treated with humor and respect. Please, run don't walk, if you need the best surgeon around for any dental/gum issues.
