I had an appointment booked for weeks , I showed up for my 9:45 30 minutes early like they recommended . I go to check in and the girl working the front desk tells me the doctor I had my appointment with did not show up . I proceeded to ask her why I was not called to reschedule my appointment and the girl tells me " ma'm I just got here " then I asked her why nobody else that was there before her called me to reschedule I wasn't given a answer . I then asked if I could see another provider and I was denied and told I had to reschedule . The girl working was very unprofessional and rude . What a terrible first experience. I love CHC in Templeton. They are more friendlier than the Paso location. I feel as if the Paso location has mean girls working in that field and Templeton location has females that actually LOVE their jobs and don't hate life. I had an appointment scheduled for 815 am on March 3 I came and come to find out. I missed work for nothing because CHC in templeton for not simply gibing me a call to tell me that they had canceled on me. I was very upset but didn't show it at the time, and I decided to do the right thing and give them a bad review because it was a very inconvenient to me my life my work and what I had to do today, but they didn't take the time to let me know that I did not have appointment this morning so I'm very upset and they had my email. I truly feel bad for the workers at this location and likely every CHC location. The "systems" put in place for their patients are non-existant. Whoever is in charge of making the rules, should not have their job. I have tried several times to get my tooth fixed that i've been in pain for months with. I have been turned away multiple times because they only take 2 walk ins every Friday. I show up at 5:30am (they open at 7:25) only to be turned away because they literally did not have a doctor present and had to call in someone from a different location. So yesterday I called to see a podiatrist, I have an ingrown big toe nail that's very painfully inflamed and getting infected. They told me to come in today at 2:30 and I'd be seen. Thinking I was seeing someone who would address the situation only to find out i was seeing just a np primary that was not a podiatrist and would do nothing but look at it and refer me to the podiatrist. I told them forget it and walked out of the treatment room. The receptionist told me I could see the podiatrist January 29th. A complete bunch of morons. Chc is a waste of time go to urgent care or hospital emergency. For me an infected toe can become very serious. I'm done with Templeton chc. One idiot after the other. read more

My family and I recently moved to SLO county from the Monterey area. My daughters and I have a plethora of health issues so I knew going into getting situated with new providers was going to be a lengthy, and possibly frustrating, process. I am pleased with the timely and thorough care we have all received by NP Hanna, Dr. Blacketer (primary), and Dr. Karp (pediatrics). They all take their time, are friendly, and communicate well. Their staff is also wonderful! While this area does not have as many specialists as Monterey, CHC Templeton has done everything in their power to ensure me and my family are getting the care we need. read more

CHC in Templeton has the best interest in your health. I have been going to them for several years, however, the newest member on staff, Dr. Blacketer is far better than even the best doctors in the past at CHC. I was impressed with her concern to provide me with the services that suit me best. She is efficient in her diagnosis, and knowledgeable in her field, and an extremely good listener. I left the office feeling satisfied that my needs were met. Exceedingly! Dr. Blacketer is a great addition to CHC. CHC also has a chiropractor available, Dr Juan, I call him. He addressed my issues with knowledge and compassion. Dr. Juan listens to your concerns, and takes the time to gather information that will suit your needs. First visit, and I felt better than I have in years. If you suffer from pain in muscles and bones, you should see him first. I highly recommend his services. The first person you see in any office is the staff. CHC Templeton, has a friendly and caring staff. They acknowledge your presence as soon as you walk up to the desk. I had to wait two months for an appointment. I showed up for my 9:00 dentist appointment at 8:30. I called three days before my appointment to see if I could reschedule because I wanted to stay with my mom in the hospital after her stage 4 cancer surgery. They said the next time they could get me in would be January 17th so I drove all the way up from San Diego to keep my appointment. After filling out all the paperwork in their office they informed me that they could not see me today. They said the dentist had a filling to do today and they "tried to notify me the day before but my phone was disconnected". This was a lie because the only call I recieved the day before was an automated message from their office confirming my appointment the next day and telling me to let them know only if I couldn't make it. When I told them all this they were very rude and said there is nothing they can do and no way they can compensate me. This business made me drive all the way from San Luis Obispo and back this morning for nothing more than a huge waste of gas and a bad headache. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR GAS ON THIS BUSINESS. Their prices are extremely unreasonable even after the low-income discount. Their service is among the worst I have ever experienced. I can only imagine how horrible the dentist must be. read more

This entire network of health centers is pure garbage. If you need a referral expect at least a month for them to figure out how to get one. I followed up weekly and every time it was a new clueless person with a new reason why it didn't go through. They cannot keep doctors and do not inform you when yet another doctor has left. So you are just told your doctor no longer works there. This has happened to me 3 times in 2 years. Plus the doctors they do have seem to be bottom of the barrel and clueless. CHC templeton pharmacy- 1330 las tablas rd; Staff here is efficient, courteous & knowledgeable. Transferred all prescriptions from a nightmare retail pharmacy ( name starts with alphabet number 23). Lynn & Rosa, made the refilling presctipion for my parents a smooth process. No one should spend more than half an hour on the phone for refills or questions. Every time I called, a helpful human being answered, knew what to do and did it. Less time and stress in pharmacy means I have more time for things that matter the most. CHC Adult Clinic in Paso Robles and the Ped Clinic in Templeton - both worthless. Both make appointments that they then don't have. As if someone would write down an appt., and just "show up" thinking that they'll fit you in??? You tell me an appt., time *I* write it down, that's how it works. TWICE they have told me "You don't have an appt., today." Which is just straight up a lie. As a professional, who sadly has to rely on TriCare for insurance, I know how to write down an appt., time and how to show up at that time. They are worthless, I feel sorry for anyone who is forced to use them due to low income. Thankfully, I have the money to go elsewhere, and I will! read more

This place gets worse with every visit. When I walked in the receptionist said she would check me in, but my appointment was on the other side of the lobby. I went and waited where I was told. I was sitting alone in the waiting room for 20 minutes before I decided to check to see if the receptionist actually "checked" me in. She didn't bother to do it. Great. Still doesn't matter another lady quips, because the other doctors are running 2 hours behind, seeing their 10:15 appointment at 12:15. Wonderful. Finally at 12:30 I'm called back for vitals and it's at this point I'm informed my doctor is running behind as well, upwards if another 30 to 45 minutes. If I had not been waiting over a month for this appointment, I would leave and reschedule. Why? WHY?? Why is this place so bad? Every time I come here they are lagging far behind. There is really no excuse for doing this to your patients. On another note, I overheard some people don't even need appointments!! An old couple came in after me and was able to see the doctor immediately! With no appointment, no phone call, just walk in and jump right in front of people who've had appointments for months! Today I went in for an ear infection/sore throat and this was may be my 3rd time going here. Every time I've been seen here it's by the same shitty doctor. He doesn't even spend a full 5 minutes examining me then tells me we'll do a strep check. Two minutes later he comes in and say everything is fine and sends me on my way. I think Dr. Sanjay Ganpule could spend a bit more time with patients and less time flirting with the young medical assistants. read more
