We had an excellent experience, and I'm so glad we didn't go to one of the chaotic, understaffed and overcrowded Syracuse hospitals. So worth the extra drive time. On-demand medicine is too complicated. I found that UCMH provided me with excellent full knee replacement surgery. The latest procedures including robotic surgery were used causing faster healing. My surgeon and support staff were excellent, including the pre-conference allowing any questions to be answered and the actual procedure and post procedures were excellent. Likewise, the UHS UCMH is excellent. But one must understand that to understand the patient a full blood panel is essential and accurate history. Our medical needs necessitate looking at any results from our computer portal. If anything seems confusing it is necessary to ask questions to understand any possible issues at the onset.

ER felt like a walmart self check out where treatment is occurring in an uncomfortable (chairs are uncomfortable) and not private waiting room. It should not take hours to get a gurney in the ER. Was in waiting room for five and a half hours. Was told I would be admitted and that a bed was available to finally get that bed 10 hours later. ER Doc Dr Din was great. Wish I could say nursing staff was great. Was never given a call button and had to climb out of gurney with raised rails to reach call button to then wait 50 minutes for someone to come. Not good when you need to use restroom and you are connected to monitors and IV. This was common as man next to me had no call button and was screaming and cursing as he wet himself. Once, on floor rooms were spacious and beautiful nursing staff were great. Food Service not great and realize hospital food is not good but spent most meals trying to address incorrect food allergy that I did not have. Hospital Docs are a mixed bag...some are good while others should be looking for another job. Cannot recommend this hospital as when it comes to your health it is not about the beautiful room or new facility but the care and expertise of the staff that are treating you. I sure do miss St E's For handicapped visitor's it is challenging .... Not sure why they have EV spots upfront that should be for handicapped. Yes they have valet parking but no bench to sit and wait as it can take 20 to 30 minutes to get your car. Metal Detectors are difficult to navigate when your mobility is challenged and to exit having to take additional steps to exit is difficult as well.

They lief and argued that spite their diagnosis was error-free, I consulted a Florida opthomologist who begs to differ dramatically from their self-serving assessment. **Improper and Unnecessary Eyewear Prescription**: Following the misdiagnosis, I was prescribed eyewear that I have since determined to be unnecessary. After further consultation, I discovered that my vision issues were misdiagnosed, leading to a prescription that did not meet my actual needs. Consequently, I had to cancel the order for the eyewear, resulting in a loss of my deposit. **Overcharges**: Additionally, I was charged an excessive amount for the alleged and unnecessary services provided. They refused to resolve the matter and sent the matter to collections. As an attorney, I plan to sue Bassett and the collection agency. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY!!!! I WILL NOT PAY THESE EXHORBITANT OVERCHARGES AND I AM PREPARED TO DEFEND MY POSITION IN COURT AND COUNTERSUE FOR DAMAGES.

I have seen 3 primary care doctors in the last year. One doctor only once. So I keep having to go over my medical history every visit and explain everything over and over. Hard to prescribe new or update medications when they don't know my history. Seriously thinking about going to another health care provider. And talking with other patients who have experienced this also. Many are not happy with the service being provided.

MAS stated she wrote unprofessional note, including in resubmission, she did not include clinical information. I now have to postpone my appointment for June 16, 2026, and wait for someone else fil it out. They also do not use painkillers during laser surgery or cataract surgery--not an okay place to go for that.
