Decided to take my cat here for a check up/vaccines after we took her to the emergency vet. She was lethargic and she wouldn't eat and throwing up more than average. The EV did a pleathora of tests said she was fine and sent us home with some appetite stimulants and anti nausea. When I took her to Bren-Lor the first time they ended up finding a microchip that didn't belong to me, Dr. Long came outside to speak with me about it, she was very sympathetic and helped me figure out if there was an owner looking for her, so she sent us home for the night until we worked that out. I had to bring her back in a few days later because after we finished her course of meds from the EV she stopped eating again, they ran blood tests that came back normal, and then they did x-rays which came back abnormal. She came outside and showed me pictures of the x-rays and explained what was weird, and what she thought could be wrong. She was never pushy about what I should do, she just gave me information answered my questions and gave me the her opinion and asked what I wanted to do. So they kept her for 6hr (free of charge) and redid xrays to see if the abnormality was still there. It was, and she told me that they thought she had ate something but it looked like it had almost made its way through, so she gave my cat some fluids and sent us gone saying that it should pass in the next 24hrs or so. Fast forward to the weekend and she seemed to be doing great. Then sunday night she started vomiting profusely. They got me an appointment monday morning for another set of x-ray (free of charge). Dr. Long wasn't sure exactly what to make of them so she wanted some second opinions. She called me back and said that all of her colleagues thought it was a foreign object as well, I was able to schedule surgery for the NEXT MORNING. Got her through surgery and she already seems so much better. Turns out her duodenum (the little section between the stomach and intestines) was abnormally large which is why they thought it had made it to her colon on the previous x-ray. Dr.Long told me she didn't know how the object had made it through her stomach and she didn't know why she wasn't vomiting this whole time. My cats a bit of a medical anomaly it seems. They've called to check up on her repeatedly through this experience. I will never take my pets anywhere else. Dr. Long was amazing to me and more importantly my cat. Cannot recommend this place enough.

They were recommended to me by a friend when I first moved to the area and discovered a growth on my dog after a grooming appointment. I will say, the surgery went well, but of course they pushed for additional things like a teeth cleaning that according to his groomer and previous vet, they didn't see any need for. They told me the surgery would be anywhere from $1,491.88 to $2,379.77 depending on several factors. I even brought my own cone from home to avoid the $29.57 they wanted to charge me for a new one. So, when my total was $2,453.75 and they didn't give me any explanation as to why, I was upset. But like I said, the surgery went well, so I didn't say anything. This was after already paying $711 for a fine needle biopsy and several vaccines. Six months later they tell me he needs another Bordetella vaccine. I didn't realize they do a six month vaccine instead of the pretty standard year long one. I take him in and they charge me $128.20 for a Bordetella vaccine that's only good for 6 months. Then recommend I get more tests for who knows what even though they did everything six months again during his surgery. Then when I call and ask about ordering his Simperica Trio from Chewy as a Cyber Monday deal where I can get 6 months for $130, they can't do it, but they can offer me 30% off an online order through them later in the year! Even if there is some rule that they can't okay the prescription, I think it's still a ploy for them to try to make more money. I know they will reply to this and make it sound like they have so much sympathy and compassion and like I'm upset over one little thing, but it's a combination of all the things they do and the way I've been treated every single time I go there. That is why I am listing out exact amounts so that they can't argue with it. Don't take your animal here unless you're looking to just give them all of your money. They don't care about you or the health of your pet and it's evident in the rude, dismissive way the front staff treats you from the second you walk in the door to the time you leave. I understand a business has to make money, but they make it abundantly clear that they don't care about helping you or your pet, just what you're willing to pay them.

They donated some materials to the Habitat ReStore. I decided to give them a try for my pets needs knowing they do good in the community as well. I took my elderly dog for a check-up and some bloodwork. The vet and technicians were very friendly and helpful. They handled my giant schnauzer with care. I liked that they didn't take him out of the room to do any shots, or the bloodwork. He is anxious and it helped him to be close to me the whole time. The vet offerend some different services but was easily willing to work within my budget and recommend what I could afford. I also like that you call when you arrive so that their smaller waiting room does not get filled up with anxious pets.

My dog who was just a puppy at the time had horrible allergies to the point that he licked his legs raw up to his armpits. His poor legs got infected and the trip to the emergency vet did no good. Dr Boggs was able to get my dog on an allergy shot and provided us with medication and medicinal wash for his legs which helped clear the infection. We continue to use this vet for my dog's needs and now my cat. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it is a little costly but tbh what isn't now a days. They do provide you with an estimate for cost of services if you request it which is helpful.
